About Cloister Inn

exterior - entrance Hotel Cloister Inn exterior - entrance The hotel Cloister Inn is located in the oldest part of Prague's historic city centre, few steps from the monumental Charles Bridge, in the vicinity of the picturesque Old Town Square, in a cobble stoned lane free of traffic.

The building is a part of a medieval monastery complex, still inhabited by the Grey Sisters of Mercy, with the church of St. Bartholomew diligently renovated owing to the funds granted by H.R.H., the Prince of Wales.

You will be embraced by historical sights, tourist attractions, museums, theatres, restaurants and cafés of the Old Town of Prague.

Our hotel standards are guaranteed by the Czech Hotel Federation.

We offer 4 stars services for three stars prices.

The hotel features 75 comfortable single and double guestrooms, equipped with all modern day amenities. Discovering Prague will never be easier thanks to the hotel's location. Prague's night life and cuisine can be found only moments away from the hotel.

Good hotel in a great location. Breakfast was sufficient but not great. Our room was a bit strange in that it was larger then expected but that's only because it was two rooms, but sparsely furnished so it just felt like an afterthought.

This is a former convent and the rooms were spread out and some distance from the lobby. It was hard to find the breakfast room.

Though the single room was rather small, the room was very clean and generally quiet, and the important thing is it is very close to the Charles Bridge. Breakfast was excellent

la posizione è ottima, molto vicina al centro della città. le stanze sono pulite e spaziose, la colazione è abbondante...(anche se per gli italiani mancano i cornetti!!)...insomma ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo..

In all our travels, this was by far the best hotel. Staff were very helpful and available at the front desk 24 hours. Location was good, 10 mins from metro station & 10 mins from main attractions. Free Internet & Tea/Coffee facilities at all times, and breakfast was great (included in the price). Staff provided us with a boxed breakfast for our early rise. Thank you to the staff for acknowledging our wedding anniversary and for making us feel special. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.

when we arrived, they did not have a room for us at the Cloister Inn,which was reserved many months in advance. They said they had a room at the sister property, which we were a little nervous about at 11pm, but following the man through an unfinished corrider and wet plaster, cement and paint, reached the Unitas-where we stayed 5 nights, which is now a renovated inn, no longer a hostel type accommodation. So the room was very nice and we accepted it at the same rate, nice bedding, new flatscreen tv, clean, lovely bathroom, bright and accommodating if somewhat inexperienced young staff, and a truly enjoyable breakfast room. Turned out very well, but a few minutes of concern, as we did not know what the street was like, etc. The wellplanned reservation did not hold up.

I would highly recommend the Cloister Inn for a stay in Prague. Only 5 minutes walk to Charles Bridge, and about 10 minutes to old town square. VERY WELL SITUATED and very competent and helpful staff. I'll stay there again.

A peaceful, relaxing hotel in a wonderful location. All the main tourist attractions were within easy walking distance, yet you were unaware of the city centre hustle and bustle inside the hotel. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants in the streets nearby.

The hotel is located in the center of the city, just 200 meters from Charles bridge in a quiet zone. The hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean and confortable. We had a very pleasent stay. If we'll go back to Praha certainly we'll return to the Cloister Inn.

The Cloister Inn is a fantastic hotel - breakfast was included and was tasty and generous, the hotel's location is prime and the staff were lovely and helpful. Restaurace Stoleti is a few minutes walk away and is great food/value for money and Pravda on Pařížská 17, is perfect for any special occasion.

This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. The breakfast was sufficient and the rooms were very clean and cozy. You can tell that the owners care about appearance and service. There are no extras at this hotel, but everything is just around the corner: restaurants, bars and sights. Everything around the old city center is within walking distance. Bring comfortable shoes as you will be walking on a lot of cobblestone. Restaurace U Vejvodů at Jilska 4 in Prague 1 is near the hotel and is a great place to hang out for dinner and some drinks. When you first walk in it looks like a medium size bar, but head down the stairs and you will find a huge room with balcony seating for eating. Lots of fun!

Very good location, clean and quiet room, good breakfast. Only one internet access.

The room was large, but not well furnished -- small beds, cheap pine dresser. The toilet leaked so we kept having to jiggle the handle after flushing to get it to stop. Free coffee in the lobby, but powdered creamer. How hard would it be to provide real milk or cream?

Staff was very helpful and the hotel was nice. However, one computer terminal for free internet is not enough for the number of guests. Long waits for internet

Prague is a wonderful city, and Cloister Inn is located right in the middle of the city with all the main tourist attractions in walking distance. Nevertheless the room was very quiet with no noise-problems at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the luggage and with booking a city tour. I spent four sightseeing-days with a good friend of mine in this hotel - and if we come back to Prague we would definetely stay in the Hotel Cloister Inn again.

Reference my quote about the noise level - hotel was quiet but I need fresh air to sleep comfortably. Our room looked out onto the main road and on the Fri and Sat night it was particularly noisy. BUT we did enjoy ourslves and the the staff were all very kind and helpful

Excellent hotel for the price. Very clean, big rooms (ours was on fifth floor), romantic lighting and pleasant decor. Location is perfect for sightseeing, restaurants, old town, etc. for the evenings Nice little Italian restaurant opposite which had just opened. Highly recommended.

The hotel is not as close to public transportation as I like. And our room was a smoking room although I had asked for a nono-smoking room. breakfast was fine and the hotel was quiet and clean.

Although the room rate was on the higher side than it should have been, the hotel was more than adequate in terms of comfort, quality, and closeness to the old town.

Lovely hotel, very central, lots of restaurants within 10 mins walking. Breakfast was good, a nice variety of fruit, meat, breads, cereal, eggs etc. Staff were very pleasent and helpful and all spoke english. Would definitely come again.

The lady receptionists are very pleasant, patience and ever helpful. Their proficiency in English was a great help as we speak not a word of the local language. The free internet service is a fantastic facility as it enable us to contact our children abroad. The free welcoming coffee/tea was a simple gesture which is much appreciated after a long journey. The location of the hotel is superb and we get to visit almost all the places of interest on foot.
