Especially well located in Praha : very near the tram and at walking distance of the metro (Hôtel easily reached from the airport by public transportations as very clearly explained at the document obtained with the booking). Good restaurants at short walking range(2 of them appear at Lonely Planet guide). Kind and smilingly helpfull staff (every help we requested was kindly satisfied, printing files, luggage keeping... and umbrellas kindly offered when rain was possible!), great breakfeast, wifi connection perfect, what else? Rooms are small, yes, w're on a boat and choosed to be. We experienced a river side room (as requested on booking) that proved very agreable; perhaps quay sided ones are less enjoyable but only for sleeping? A great stay, nothing else!

Lovely place to stay - Prague was v cold in January with some snow and ice, but the Botel was always lovely and toasty warm. We paid a little extra for a superior room with french windows, well worth it I think as the ones below deck might be a little smaller and darker - still cosy though. The rooms were large enough for the two of us and our hand luggage, and a lovely welcoming place to come back to after a day pounding the streets. Well insulated and quiet as well, couldn't hear the nearby roadbridge or rushing river at night at all. Staff were all friendly and helpful, with thankfully great English. Breakfast was good standard for a cold buffet - good coffee, juice, fruit, pastries, bread, cheeses, ham, salads, cereal and yoghurt. Finished at 10am which is good if you've had a late night! Good location - ten mins walk up the river to Charles Bridge and nearer to the main points of new town. Few minimarkets, cafes and pubs around too. I'd definitely recommend it and can imagine it would be beautiful in summer, as it was lovely enough in January!

Wonderful place! At the arrival, the staff make us (me and my husband) a "new year present": the suite!!!!! Great!!! Clean, large, all the staff very kind and competent! Near to the metro and in front of the bus stop. Breakfast good in a restaurant very good!!! If I'll come back to Praga, I will stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here. Initially, we had a room with a street view but were able to upgrade to a river view. Absolutely well worth the extra money--the view was beautiful and it was quite fun having the ducks and swans swim up to our window when it was opened. The rooms are impeccably maintained. Very clean and up-to-date. The staff was very professional and courteous. The breakfast was excellent. The boat is docked so we didn't feel any movement whatsoever. The area surrounding the hotel is perfect--plenty to do and see, but not noisy. Also it's just outside the higher priced touristy areas. There are great Thai and Lebanese restaurants nearby. Easy to use the nearby metro.

If you're looking for a diffent place to stay, not a normal hotel you always go to, you have to choose Boat Hotel Matylda. We really enjoyed it. It was a special place to stay, with view on the water. It's nearby the center, the old center, the castle and the metro. Service is good, the room is clean. A great place to stay. Enjoy!

We had a fantastic stay. Prague was fantastic, it helped that we had nice weather. The hotel was more than fantastic. We had a room with view on the river. The rooms are so cosy that you forget they are a bit small, but we thought they were big enough. Breakfast was great. We also had dinner at the restaurant a few times, which we enjoyed very much. So overall, nice city, fantastic hotel!!!

This is a wonderful, small, relatively new hotel. Perfect location. Get a room on the river side for better views, but dock side is very nice too. Restaurant is fabulous. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant is excellent. Staff is very helpful. Bravo, Matylda!

A wonderful place with the most pleasant and helpful staff. Tram stops right outside and No 17 goes to old town/charles bridge and No 22 towards castle side. Restaurant meal was wonderful and the cocktail waiter made 2 drinks which we asked for, which were not on the list, with expertise. Cabins are small but cosy and we would return again without a doubt.

This "botel" is a well thought out design, into which the owner has put a great deal of effort. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - staff were very obliging and helpful. I think the experience would be less pleasant if our room had been on the wharf side, rather than on the open river side. Amusing to see swans outside our porthole almost at touching distance. Conveniently located, the small sample of food in the restaurant was great.

It was our first time in Prague and the botel was a really special place for us! Everything was very clean, and even if the room and bathroom were small, they made you feel very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect..the best thing is that you're in the river.. ducks and swans passing right by our window..it was the best way to wake up in the morning!!! The breakfast, which was included in the rate, was excellent. The restaurant was also really good and I would recommend it. The staff was extremely nice. We are really happy for our choise and we can only suggest to spend your day in the botel if you want to pass your holiday in a special way...this place gives to your trip an add value that you can't forget when you come back!!!

Nice hotel in the center of Prague. Easy to go to most of the touristic places with the close tramway and metro stations. Very noisy, you can hear your neighbour shower, people in the stairs, in the corridor, people walking on the floor above. Bathroom is very small and tall people (above 1.85m) won't be able to fit in the shower. Restaurant is nice, especially at breakfast with a view on the river.

The location is perfect... you are only a 5mins walk away from all the top local attractions. The absolutely great thing is tho - you are als far away enough to not be caught in the hustel and bustle! Perfect! The boat itself is VERY clean, VERY upmarket looking - finishing touches on this accomodation really make it lovely. The staff are very helpful, speak excellent English, always smiling. The restaurant and bar staff are great - funny too :-) I wasn't particularly happy with the breakfast - it was salad, meats and cheeses with a brown or white roll. Apparantly Czech's don't "DO" breakfasst tho, so this must be good! The restaurant is devine too.

We stay 5 days in Prague and Botel Matylda was the best choice we made. It's located very close to the Dancing Building (Czech: Tančící dům). The botel staff is very friendly. At breakfast there is a girl who speak spanish (we are very grateful to her for the music also, jajaja. First day in Prague we listen to Bebe, amazing). In a few words, I love this boat. Un hotel increible en una ciudad maravillosa, volveremos seguro, a ser posible en verano, para disfrutar de la terraza del hotel a orillas del Vltava...

Without any doubt, one of the best (if not the best one) hotels in Prague. We enjoyed every minute of our estance in this wonderful and charming hotel. Staff is friendly, ship is elegant and romantic (you can touch the swans swimming by your window!), everything was EXCELENT! We will repeat for sure. Highly recommended.

This hotel was an amazing find! We couldn't be more pleased with our choice. It was our first time in Prague, and going in to stay in a boat, we were expecting to give up some comfort for the sake of the experience. This wasn't the case at all. Everything was very clean, and although both the room and bathroom were small, they made you feel very comfortable. I guess it is because for once in Europe, everything seemed to be brand new, worked perfectly, and was very well decorated. When I saw the location of the hotel in the map, I was a bit worried that we'd be outside of the major tourism area. What I hadn't realized is that Prague is a very small city, and you can walk to pretty much every site in one day. If you're thinking of staying in a hotel at the main square, or close to Charles Bridge, keep in mind that this hotel is only about a 15-20 minute walk from both (if you want to use the subway, which is not necessary, it is even faster). Besides you're in the river! Our room had a river view. We had ducks and swans passing right by our window throughout our stay there. The breakfast, which was included in the rate, was excellent. The restaurant upstairs was also pretty good and I would recommend it even if you're not staying at the botel. The staff was extremely nice. Keep in mind that I think there are only 7 rooms in this hotel, so it may be a good idea to book in advance. We did so and got a great rate as well (E$70/night).

The Botel Mathylda is a small, cozy, romantic venue in the centre of Prague, with a very welcoming staff. The rooms are not much bigger than the bed, but the interior is very authentic - and just try to open the window and all the swans and ducks will be waiting for a little treat. If you're looking for a nice place to be and don't need a lot of space and bathtubs for the place to be nice, I recomend Mathylda. On the other hand, maybe I shouldn't, as I'd be sure to have a room there next time I visit Prague.

I don't think that the pictures do the hotel justice. It was an unbelieveable experience. It is centrally located to almost everything. The hotel staff was great from reception to the staff in the restaurant. Food was great in the restaurant. In my opinion, you will not find a better place for the value. And when you are there, say hello to Dauphne.

Botel Matylda is absolutely wonderful! This is a great find! I stayed here for four nights with my sister and we loved it. The people are very nice and the buffet breakfast that is included is amazing! Imagine waking up to a buffet of fresh pastries, cereals, cheeses, meats, fruit, and yogurt every morning with a view of Prague Castle and Petrin Hill! Truely breath taking. We even had a dinner at the Botel one night because the food was so good. The rooms are small of course, but you'd expect that, however they were very clean and not cramped. The bathrooms were also very nice and new. Our room had a view of the Castle - if you can get a room with a view I'd recommend it, but if you can't all you have to do is "go up top" and you can take in the view. As far as location, the botel is located very close to the metro and a short walk to the Charles Bridge (maybe 5 minutes walking).

I discovered in the morning of the first day that the water in the shower get stuck and when I asked for to solve the problem, they just ignored me and the following, last day, was the same. Also, I demanded a tip before leaving to go for lunch to a typical restaurant. Surprisingly, the girl at the reception suggested me to stay at the restaurant of the Botel, which cooks Italian, and even expensive for Prague's I must say!. In addition, when I explained to her that we had had already dinner there the night before, triying to be nice, she said that "she just didn't know any other"...

We arrived early and our room was not ready yet. For 20Euro we upgraded to a room with river view which we could occupy immediately. The room was lovely with a nice view of the river. The room has a very nice shower and comfortable bed. One thing I would suggest though is a fan in the room because it was a bit hot. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and on our last day we left before breakfast and they have prepared a take-away breakfast for us. We have stayed at a lot of places on our tour through Europe and this was definitely one of the best.
