The staff were incredible. It was rainy and cold so we decided to go buy a bottle of wine at the shops down the road. We needed to have the wine opened, so reluctantly went to the hotel restaurant and asked if they would open it for us. The barmaid not only opened it, but insisted that we borrow their nice wine glasses. The reception staff were incredibly approachable and helpful, and the rooms were spotless. The hotel is in a great location, away from the higer prices of the centre of Prague. Only one metro stop from the Dancing House too! Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel was really nice and we were upgraded to junior suite. The room was very large, cosy and comfy. The breakfast was simply fantastic, with a large choice of good and tasty products. The hotel is located in a business area, a stone throw from a very large shopping mall. The underground and tram are very close, so it's easy to get to the downtown.

Nice modern hotel. Not in the centre but in a nice area with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Shopping mall is just a stones throw away. Andel metro and trams also very close by which take you to the centre in around 15 mins. Airport is also easily reached by public transport for a bargain price of just 1 Eur! Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Overall a really great hotel for the price.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is a bit out of the city but a very easy walk into "old town", etc. It was quite nice to be in a less touristy area. There is a Tesco and shopping mall a block away, which was convienent. Breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel (included). The rooms were spacious and very well equiped.

no welcome drinks or free water in room for 1st day, entitled to one dvd per day free, hotel had no record and would not honour venere's promise. staff were helpful but not overly so, happy to argue over an 8 euro a day dvd charge even though we were in an executive studio room. overall stay was good, hotel has a great location, outside of center but convenient to public transport but don't expect anything exceptional. spa adequate but nothing special.

Sleek, smart contemporary interior design and architecture - immaculately clean rooms and comfortable beds, A/C, hair dryer - excellent breakfast, VERY efficient and friendly staff, fantastic coffee on the 5th floor! The Andel's Hotel Prague offers the best of European and Western amenities - at incredibly reasonable prices. This was my first visit to Prague and I would stay there again! I've stayed in everything from Holiday Inns to the Grand Hotel in Paris and I would look no further for hotel accommodations in Prague in the future. VERY impressed with all aspects of this fine company's hotel. The entire staff is neatly groomed and crisply dressed in tasteful uniforms. Most of the staff can converse comfortably in English! All requests were quickly and graciously fullfilled. Very convenient location - tram stop and tram tickets (the Relay) are literally just around the corner. Take the No. 9 to the old section of Prague. Superior service! Superb accommodations! Definitely worth the reasonable price charged!

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni in agosto in modo modo molto confortevole: camere molto spaziose e belle, nessun rumore e letti comodi. Colazione molto varia e abbandante. Vicinanza alle linee di trasporto (Metro o tram) per il centro città. Lo consiglio sicuramente per un gradevole soggiorno a Praga.

I honestly suggest this hotel to everybody. It is clean, silent, well designed and furnished, close to the center(if U like to walk it is only 20/25 minutes far from the sites). Only make sure if U arrange a taxi with the concierge that the fares are correct..it happened to me that I was asked double the fare once. Not honest taxi drivers are very common....

Andel's Hotel and Suites was in the perfect location and we enjoyed the awesome breakfast everyday. The servers were friendly and helpful and when we checked in we were upgraded to a suite at the same price. The maid cleaned our room great, and the hotel laundry was excellent.. after spending 7 days walking around Prague. The Bathroom Tub was a welcoming site to sore feet.

I feel that this hotel represents excellent value for money as it was modern and the rooms were of a very high standard. In particular I was impressed with the modern bathroom. There was excellent choice for the breakfast buffet. The location is slightly outside the main action, but it was only a couple of stops away on the metro from the city centre. This also proved to be a nice walk.

We stayed for 3 nights - Easter 2007. It was my seconds visit to Prague and second stay at this hotel - it's just one of the best I've stayed. And it is very well situated within a modern and very attractive area of Prague. Prices are very reasonable and I think not very high. I can only recommend it, and do not have any negative points/minuses for it.

This hotel first attracted me because it is a new hotel and at a very convenient location with a mega shopping mall just 10 steps away. And when I arrived the hotel, I know all the reviews I read are genuinely true!! We got a free upgrade to a 1-bedroom apartment (we originally booked a double bed room) and this is our first surprsie! The hotel is truly in an utmost convenient location, and a newly established shopping centre is just literally 10 seconds away. There is a 2-storey Tesco inside the shopping mall and its convenience to me is just speechless. Though it is not right at the city centre near the Charles Bridge, don't worry it is just 2-stops away by Metro (and the Metro is really easy to access to also). If you want to do more scenic seeing, try to ride the tram No.9 and it will take you to the city centre in a short time. The breakfast buffet was a great one too! We stayed for 5 nights and there are always new items every morning when we are at the table. We had dinner at their restaurant one night and it was unbeatable, either the food taste or the presentation and atmosphere!! This is the hotel you would wait to go back and unwind after a day's travelling (the hotel can arrange some fantastic local tours for guests). I will surely be there when I am in Prague again. By the way, 555Euro for 5 nights, what can you say??

It's a new and modern hotel. Rooms were really confortable and clean. Breakfast was really good. All sightseeings were within walking distance. The only bad point was, that we had to pay for a parking lot at the hotel about 18€ for each 24 hours, this is really expensive! So, if you travel with bus, train oder air plane this hotel is the right for you.

A magnificent property, with first-rate facilities, as it is part of a hotel. Internet access is available at the reception counter. Everything is very clean and new. It even has plasma TVs in the loungeroom and bedroom, and a room safe, but no washing machine. The only criticism is the location. Whilst there is a shopping centre close by, and a supermarket, you need to take a train or tram to get to the city centre, which is a trip of about 15 minutes. At least both are only a few minutes' walk away.

Just one issue. The price quoted on the venere web site was 263 euro for 3 nights (very good value) but by the time the hotel changed over to czech money we ended up paying a nice bit extra. Not a major problem but a little irritating at the end of a great stay.

My wife and I stayed at Andel's and would not hesitate to suggest it to anyone and we will gladly stay here upon returns to Prague. We received and early check in when we arrived after our overnight flight and were upgraded to the Club Floor on 5. The staff, from front desk to maids to wait-staff in the breakfast room were all courteous and polite and always ready to assist. The location of the hotel is slightly away from all the action, but was only a 15 minute walk from the foot of the Charles Bridge and it was nice to get away from all the action after dinner

The hotel itself was very nice. However I had a problem with my reservation. I booked a reservation here at Venere initially for 3 nights. I had to change it to 4 nights and the only way to do it was re-booking, so I re-booked another reservation and cancelled my initial reservation. When I got to the hotel, they had only updated the first reservation, and thus when I canceled, they cancelled the entire reservation. I looked at Venere, and it still said I had my 2nd reservation. I was only able to stay 2 nights. The staff said they could not accomdate me. But I know they had extra rooms, but did not want to give me the lower price. Lesson learned: Call hotel directly to update stay information.

I had booked Andel's as part of a 4 city tour of Europe. It turned out to be the best hotel I had booked although I had booked others at world famous chains. Although the hotel is situated a little outside the historic areas we found it easily accessible by tram and subway in less than 10 min. I believe I was given an upgraded room thus the room was very spacious. The hotel itself was very clean and inviting. As soon as I arrived I was given a map and info of Prague without even having to ask. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast is the only lacking area. It consists of a very minimal offering with not much variety. However for people who usually take light breakfasts like us it was not much of a problem. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague!

Realmente excelente por el precio pagado. Los desayunos los mejores encontrados entre 8 capaitales europeas visitadas. El unico problema fue que no existia buena informacion desde la parada del metro al hotal, pero preguntando llegamos. Room was excellent clean, spacious & very comfortable. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of foods available. The hotel is 3 mins from the nearest metro station from which you can exploare Prague & very close to a modern shopping centre. The one piece of advice I would offer to anyone staying at Andels is not to use the telephone in their room - I made 2 phone calls to a czech mobile & it cost me Eur30 for 8mins!!!!! I would recommend this hotel & stay there again but won't be making any phonecalls from the phone in my room.

Hotel is excellent, it's modern, clean, quiet and in a good position for public transport - you can be in the centre of old town Prague in 10 mins by metro or walk to Charles Bridge in 15 mins. The hotel does not have a gym but you can pay to visit one that is v. local. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I have come across. At the end everything went well and we had a suite instead of a normal double, but the problem was when I called to communicate the delay of my flight it was me said that the room was cancelled because they didn't receive the credit card before 6 p.m. and it was not like this because when you reserve the room you have to give your credit card and then you receive the confirmation or not and I had it without any other advice. The hotel was clean, bright and modern and the check in was simple. We were offerd a smoking room with a king-size bed or a non-smoking with a double and took the king-size. The room was spacious and smelt very fresh and the bathroom was spotless and very impressive. The buffet breakfast offered an enormous variety of food, all of a high standard, and, although we didn't use the bar or restaurant facilities, we made use of the airport transfer which was good value - we were met at the arrivals gate, assisted with our bags and at our hotel within half an hour of landing. The hotel's immediate surroundings are a little unprepossessing as the area is undergoing a renovation - it is Pragues latest hot-spot. Dont let this put you off though. There are some excellent restaurants and pubs nearby (try the Court of Angels restaurant and Hombres bar) and there are good transport links within 100 yards. There is a cinema next door and a smart new shopping plaza around the corner but it is quite a walk to the Old Town and Castle DIstrict. Anyone who is not prepared to walk half an hour can easily catch a tram but we walked it each day and had no problems finding our way around. All in all, the hotel was excellent - good breakfast, friendly staff, lovely rooms and great value for money. We'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Our stay in Andel's in Prag over Eastern 2004 was very good, although the first try to reserve didn't have succes (no answer from hotel within 48h). We had to make a second reservation, MORE EXPENSIVE, because all the cheaper rooms (normal double) were meanwhile already booked ! The design (especially bathrooms !) is very nice, but the rooms are not very large and the functionality average. The breakfast-buffet was great, the location optimal.

The information provided on the website gave a clear indication on what we would expect. We are very satisified for the stay in Andel's Hotel. Though it is not located in central Prague, the place has good transportation which made us as convenience as staying the the central Prague. In fact, Prgaue is a small city with well-developed transportation network. There is a big and modern shopping mall located next to the hotel. The supermarket nearby opens up to mid-night. Breakfast was good and room was very clean and tidy. Overall speaking, location, service and room quality of the hotel are all excellent. Price is also reasonable. We would recommend this hotel to others and will stay in this hotel if we go to Prague next time.

I've booked 4 nights @90euro/night and they offered me a double room at the fifth floor, which is an executive floor with free access to gym room and a coffee bar is yours at the lift lobby. It was a nice arrangement, you may not appreciate the cigrette smell though. Location is good as well, around the corner, you will find a shopping mall and supermarket, and just a block away, you will be on the tram/bus/metro station. Staff speak good english and you will have no difficulties in communicating with them, and they are really helpful. We enquired the train schedule to Cesky Krumlov and Karlary Vary and they provided us info just we exactly needed. I would recommend Andel's.

This has got to be our most hip hotel stayed in Europe so far (March 2004) and for the price of 89 euros for almost 5 star, what a steal.Slight confusion in airport minibus counter as there seems to be 2 hotels with name Andel. Make sure the street name is known, in case. Took less than 30 mins to reach hotel. At first looked like shopping center or convention center from outside, but once inside it started looking like a hotel... only designer like and hip furniture and gallery-like deco. Quick check-in.Rooms were like the webpages. Simple, sleek, modern, spacious and classy with halogen lights, glass doors, etc. They provided us with a baby cot for our little precious and I must say was the best looking one we had from any hotel so far.... very good condition, beautiful baby design comforters and pillows. Thank you, Andel... our baby slept well. Had electric flask for baby needs.Bathroom was very spacious with separate bathtub and shower area, designer look basin shaped like a bowl. Shower and toilet were in glass cubicles... cool. Generous towels and liquid soap. Slight seeping of water from shower cubicle to basin floor area... maybe due to drainage or non-airtight shower door.Breakfast on 1st floor was nice. Restaurant was big and with hip glass deco. Spread was generous and the best selection for us so far. Staff was quick and friendly.Location is good, with cinemas in same building and across the street in big shopping mall. Trams and train was around the corner. Took less than 15 mins to reach Republic square station.Overall, very satisfactory. we loved it.

Andel's hotel is a fantastic place to stay if you want to stay in a hotel with a quirky modern look and ideal position. The hotel has great access to train, tram and bus services and is also very close to a modern shopping and cinema complex. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of variety and i thoroughly enjoyed the stay. P.S the double beds are just huge and comfortable....enjoy :)

I have two complaints: Firstly, I was charged for a few things which the advertisement on the website suggested were included in the price - the advertisement suggests that breakfast in the rooms, coffee and tea facilities, mineral water and DVD rental are included, whereas hotel staff informed me they were included for guests who book a so called Club room, at a higher rate. Secondly, the X-Mas eve dinner in the hotel brasserie was both the most expensive and least satisfying meal we had in Prague. The service was slow and amateurish, the price was not. Other than this, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast buffet excellent. Additionally there are good public transport connections close by and the reception staff were very helpful. Overall, a hotel worth recommending, although it may be worth taking a printout of the webpage with you and confirming facilities at check-in. Regards, MP

It's really a find in Prague. The hotel itself and rooms are really exceptional. I find very lucky I've stayed in this hotel. The rooms are 5-star hotel quality except not too spacious. I am sure I will stay in this hotel next time I visited Prague, (hope the price won't inflat hugely... )

Hotel Andel's can compete just like a 5 star hotel. All the facilities are excellent. Only there are a need for a better description of location (to much oneway street round) and for more public areas. Apart from that, we were very satisfied from service and overall conditions. It is absolutly better than a lot of 5 star hotels and especially more favourable (lower priced).

An excellent hotel for business trips or tourist couples. Metro and tram stops really close so makes getting around really easy.

The hotel has a building site next door and whilst the noise was minimal the view especially of a builder in a tong was not the best! In the hotel itself the glass door to the toilet served no real purpose other than as an obstruction.

The Andels is a stunning contemporary hotel, which I have already recommended to friends since arriving back. I will definately be returning to Prague and would stay no where else!

The hotel is located at a rather incovenient location from the stations (have to take subways and change at least once to get there). Yet, the quality of hotel overrides such efforts and this will be my designated hotel in Prague. Strongly recommended.

This was our first visit to Czech Rep. and overall it was a fine experience. We arrived at 12 noon at Andel's Hotel to find that check-in is at 2 pm but we managed to leave our luggage and lunch at a nearby pub. We booked a double and were given a twin. When this was raised at the front desk later in the day, the young lady on duty was unapologetic and said that there were no doubles available - a fact that was not made known at the time of booking. During the rest of our stay we found the staff pleasant, courteous and helpful. If you intend having meals in the suburbs just be warned that some establishments do not have bilingual menus and staff may not have sufficient knowledge of English to explain what's on the menu. We found this on the first but managed to categorise the menu into meat, fish, pork etc and I managed a very decent pork dish, though I will never know what it was called. Andel's location is excellent, we walked back from Charles' Bridge to the hotel one evening in about 20 - 30 minutes.

Highly recommended. It's about the same price to those 3-stars around the Old Town Square, but the facilities and services offered are far superior than many 4-stars. Although it's not located around Old Town Square, but I would still choose it next time I go to Prague because of its cleaner surroundings. Besides, its only 4 metro stops to Charles Bridge (cost 8Kc only).

Only one problem with the hotel and this was where it stated there was a use of gym. I think it should also say that this was at extra cost, it was a surprise when we had to pay eventhough it was a small fee.

It exceeded my expectation. It's facilities, services and staff just great. The Breakfast offerings , quality and services were just fantastik. The location was not close to main attractions but was convenient and reachable by bus/tram/metro to all the places.I would recommend to anyone visiting Prague.
