1. Republic Hotel - Prague

I had a good comfortable stay at the hotel, the staff was friendly, helpful and speak good English, my room was spacious. The hotel is well situated and a beautiful old building with stunning front doors - for those who enjoy walking the hotel is within walking distance to all the major attractions but also very close to the tram & underground.

View from room 36 was of a wall/window, opposite (tried to attach photo, but it didn't work). Answer from front desk employee to my questions was consistently "no." (Example: Can I extent my checkout time from 11:00 to 12:00?) For Prague, this is a very expensive hotel -- and not worth it, frankly.

We were delighted with the Hotel. There were five guests ages 54, 73 and 82 in one room and 50 and 48 in another. The triple room was on the 2nd floor and possibly the nicest room in the Hotel. The double room was on the ground level and even though it faced the main road and the trolleys could be heard, we slept very well. Bath tub in this room was on the small side. Even our oldest family member was able to walk to Old Town Square from this location. Breakfast was very well done. Parking accommodations were very safe, but reservations necessary as there are only 3 available spots. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Très bon hôtel pour un séjour à Prague. La ville est à 15 mn à pied, le tramway à 5 mn ... chambre spacieuse, hôtel très tranquille, un seul bémol, l'amabilité de la personne en charge de l'entretien et du petit déjeuner ... mais à part cela tout était parfait ... avec une mention pour l'accueil de Jan RICHTER.

Very nice Hotel and friendly staff. If you sleep light not choose the rooms overlook the main road, very noisy even at night.

I and my boyfriend stayed in Hotel Sv. Jana for four nights and we were enthusiastic about it! The room was huge and very clean and silent. The employees at the reeption were very welcoming and kind to us! Breakfast was various and adapt to every need. The hotel has a very interesting structure, as it's an old palace, and the garden outside is so nice, espoecially in the night when the lights are on. It's close to the city centre: you can walk (it only takes 15/20 mins), take the tram just in front of the hotel or the metro (5 mins walking from the hotel).

We had booked a double twin room but they gave us a double room with separate beds! After some discussion we got another room, bigger but they carged us the surplus fee. Then we had to move for out last night.This was really disappointing.

Abbiamo dormito qui per due notti. l'hotel è molto carino, una struttura barocca molto affascinante. peccato per la rumorosità, il tram passava proprio sotto la nostra finestra, ma anche qiesto potrebbe essere un punto a favore, visto che proprio quel tram ci consentiva di stare in centro in soli 5 minuti! lo consiglio a tutti

Position was great and I would stay in this Hotel if I visit Prague again.
