Hotel Villa Franca - Positano

Can't wait to go back!!!!!

This hotel is a gem. The views are amazing, the staff is well trained and professional, and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast in the morning is more than adequate. Lastly, the dinner restaurant is a little pricey, but worth every penny. Also sitting on the top of the hotel by the pool, overlooking the city and sea is beautiful!

We were very, very, very happy with our choice: the place was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant was excellent and the view was breathtaking. Our room also had a beautiful little terrace with beautiful flowers and a view of the sea, which we enjoyed a lot. Definitely one of the best places we ever stayed at.

Hotel Villa Franca was probably the nicest Hotel in which we stayed in Italy. The rooms are beautiful and the view was gorgeous. We did go the first week of March so,their restaurant wasn't opened, although their bar was! The breakfast room was opened and they had a nice breakfast each morning. And because we were at the end of the off season, we didn't really see how it operated when the hotel was at full capacity. So my answers are just for our time there. The Internal Bus in Positano drops you off at their satellite location which is about 30 meters up the street which was confusing for us at first. The Hotel is the the very top building you see in any picture in Positano so it is easily recognizable and hence the fabulous views. The hotel caters to families/ couples who want a luxury Hotel. We probably wouldn't have stayed there because of the budget we had for our trip, but we got such great rates through Venere.com, we were able to enjoy this high end hotel. I was confused as to the difference between the superior double deluxe vs double deluxe rooms and we stayed in the double deluxe room. Still never found out the difference- maybe the other was larger. The bathroom was nice- although we got the european hairdryer with the accordian tube, but the linens we very nice. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful-recommending great restaurants and help with connecting trips. I would highly recommend Hotel Villa Franca!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Highlights of our stay in Positano included a wide choice of good restaurants, ranging from the hotel dining room itself to an array of nearby eateries (several of which were not unreasonably priced) and magnificent visits to Pompeii and Capri. We found the staff of the hotel to be very friendly. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus down to the centre of Positano (availability of this service is really a requisite for any more immobile people staying at this hotel). The main criticism of this hotel from me would relate to what I felt to be a slightly cramped nature, but this is an inevitable consequence of its absolutely stunning location on a cliff side.

The hotel was a disappointment because the rooms were really small. Also, we had a incident with an ant infestation. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem as we found out later that a friend had a similar problem in an earlier stay. We would not recommend this hotel to friends.

I planned a special surprise weekend away with my girlfriend and everything was wonderful. From the champagne I asked to be in our room on arrival to the friendliness of the staff and the stunning views from the rooms and communal areas. Highly recommended.

We had a good stay. The balcony was disappointingly smalland the furniture uncomfortable outside. Forthe price I would have exected the rooms to have been more recently updated.

This was an enchanting dream stay. We loved Stefano and his wife and their employees.They were so friendly and helpful with ideas of what to do in the region and drawing maps etc. We loved the country side and they were very accomodating in picking us up from the train station in Florence for a minimal charge.(much better than the taxis)The B & B are close to Fiesole which was a wonderful little bus ride or a walk., The country side is stunning and the bed and breakfast accomodations were charming and perfect. The pictures on the internet did not do it justice. We were completely impressed even though it rained while we were there! We discovered a great restaurant on our walk (9miles) to Fiesole called Tretorria Prosciuto. It was fantastic treasure to find. If you are looking for a treasure out of the hustle/bustle of crowds this would be a treat. This was by far a favorite for our Italy trip.Fiesole has fantastic views of the City of Florence. Just breathtaking the entire countryside.
