Hotel Poseidon - Positano

This is a very pretentious property that I would not choose a 2nd time. For the price charged I did not expect cheap plastic tumblers in the bathroom nor would I have expected paper napkins for breakfast or industrial produced buns just warmed up! What, do they not have any bakeries in Positano or surrounding area? And why do I have to get my own coffee when the staff is just standing around? What? Are they only cabable of clearing off the tables? And why does the check in clerk have such an attitude? Hello, it's me paying your wages and when I asked if it was possible to stay a second night and you were full as you said you were and I have no reason to doubt you, and I asked if you could recommend another property, you simply replied that you didn't believe there were any rooms available in Positano but 5 min away from you we found a perfectly nice room with ocean view at a far more reasonable price and a hearty welcome! Anyway, enough said.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Hotel Poseidon! The staff was consistently fantastic over our 5 night stay. The rooms are beautiful, bathrooms are huge, the balcony is roomy, and the view is unbelievable!! My boyfriend and I were definitely the youngest people at the hotel, but we were there to relax anyhow! The location is a touch of a trek from the main beach area, but not too bad =) LOVED OUR EXPERIANCE! WE WILL BE BACK!

I recently stayed for 3 nights. The views were amazing. Its not cheap but you're paying to be in the heart of Positano and the staff were very friendly. It was nice to escape the heat and relax by the pool. We very much enjoyed sitting on our balcony overlooking that stunning vista.
