Bathroom shower leaked all over the floor every time we used it (and there were 4 of us so you can imagine the mess we had on our hands). There were holes in the curtains and the settee looked as if it had not been vacuumed in months. One night during our 4 night stay, we were awake from 4a to 6a as a rsult of the excessive noise from the guest above us. The location is great. The restaurant is mediocre. The front desk personnel were quick to say "no".

Convenience of location and lifts to all floors. Views from selected rooms. Good response from staff to complaint about poor view from room initially allocated. Stayed three nights. Breakfast did not match those of other hotels in the area.

The bathroom had hair in several places and the tub was questionable-not 4 star clean. The breakfast selection is good and tasty, but the dinner was pricey and the quality was not there. Also, there are 451 stairs to the beach area which is a challenge and we are in good shape.

This is our second stay at Posa Posa as they were extremely helpful first time around. The breakfast was supposed to be until 10:30 but found the staff had cleared everything by 10am, which was most unhelpful when l had a toddler to feed. I really felt for the price the breakfast wasn't good enough and some staff members mostly at night were unhelpful. For this reason we won't be staying at Posa Posa again.

The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast could be improved tremendously. The coffee was terrible and the bread worse. With the wonderful coffee and breads, it is inadmisible the quality for this hotel.

We had booked a double room (258 euros)and were upgraded to a Jr suite. (410 euros.) I felt the 410 room was what I would have expected for 258. There would have been no view with the double room It is a VERY long walk down to the beach- not 5 minutes as the description claims. You need to be fit to do the climb back up. It is a also at least 15 minutes down into the town. Breakfast was good. View from sun terrsace and DR is beautiful. Beaches are rocky and not all that clean. AC was great.

The room at Posa Posa was the most spacious and well-equipped room of the 3 places we stayed during our trip to Italy. The balcony and view were terrific. The bathroom was especially nice. The staff deserves a salute for their helpfulness. Superb hotel!

Positives: Size of room and bathroom, balcony and view from room. Negatives: Breakfast selection and quality not that great. Caution: walk down to town takes about 10/15 mins all down hill, but if you aren't that mobile, the walk back up may be an issue for you.

Great room...Excellent view. The ONLY problem were the stinky drains in the bathroom and on the balcony. Perhaps it is a Positano sewerage problem. Otherwise, the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was delicious.

This was a fine place to stay with magnificient views. While still a bit expensive, I think all of Positano is expensive. The room (6th floor) was clean, with a decent bathroom and a comfortable bed. The balcony was incredible.

A very good hotel in a beautiful town. Rather old, but with a history, very appropriate. Quality of breakfast was disappointing - even a 3* hotel would normally provide something better than a powder juice drink.

We stayed in Posa Posa for 8 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. I couldn't find fault with the staff, they were great, very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of minor disappointments. One was the gym. The hotel advertises a gym but it's really a room off the foyer with a treadmill, eliptical and bowflex type of machine. The room also doubles up as an office to get internet access so no privacy. It didn't turn out to be a big problem as you walk so much anyway in Positano; you get plenty of exercise up and down those hills. The other small gripe I had was I was assuming that the room with have an iron and that the hotel would provide laundry service (as it's listed as a four star). They didn't provide either but wasn't a problem....I just bought new stuff:) We didn't eat in the restaurant at night but did go up there a couple of times for a nightcap (was never busy) The restaurant around the corner (Il Fornillo) is fantastic, and there's plenty of others to choose from. Overall, the hotel was great but it's very pricey and it's a bit of a hike from the beach - it took about 20 minutes downhill. There are plenty of other hotels or villa's nearer to the town if you would rather not walk so much.

We had requested two double beds and when we arrived we had a room with one bed. The hotel quickly resolved the problem with providing us with two beds in the appointed room. I recall my request with Venere and would like to request your website correspond a little better with the hotel to make sure there are no surprises upon check in as hotel was full and we were lucky they had an extra bed to accomodate our request. Thank you.

The room was decent. The water has a funky sulfuric odor but I assume it is common to all of Positano. The view is fabulous. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Seems a bit overpriced - 4 stars is pushing it.

Exceeded expectations. The hotel has a beautiful view, and a very friendly staff. There is a bit of a walk to the shops and the beach, but not impossible. We were glad to explore the upper areas of Positano.

Everything was excellent, the staff was superb and they spoke English, the view was spectacular, the Continental Breakfast was perfect for our family - juice, cereal, yogert, pastry, coffee, tea etc. There is a fabulous restaurant about 75 yards from the hotel where we ate lunch and dinner. There is even a small gym in the hotel. The only negative is that all the floors are either tile or marble and noise can be an issue if you have crying babies or loud people near you - fortunately for us the hotel was not busy. There is a bus station outside the door if you don't feel like walking into town and you can get to neighboring towns by bus also. The hotel offered to pick us up at the airport, which I would definitely do again. After 12 hours of travel, it was worth the money (which we saved on a rental and parking anyway). We were happy about not getting lost or trying to navigate the hairpin turns. There is no need for a car once there.

This was an excellent hotel with great amenities. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and the staff was very accomodating. There was only one surprise in the billing at the time of checkout - we were informed waiters that gratuities for dinners at the restaurant were not included at the time of service, so we left a gratuity for the wait staff. However, at checkout, a gratuity was added to our bill. I think the hotel staff needs to make travellers aware of their policy before they dine at the hotel restaurant.

The view from the seaview rooms at Posa Posa were amazing and totally breathtaking. The hotel is pretty conveniently located as there is a grocer just up the street from hotel. There is also a family-runned restaurant down the street that has the best homemade pasta. The service is great, but do take note that it is cash only. The hotel is also a brisk 15-20min walk down to the pier where you catch the ferries to get to the different cities around the Amalfi Coast. The same walk back to the hotel is a little bit tougher as you are going uphill. However, it's not too bad if you're not in a hurry.

This is a hotel for walkers, but it is worth the walk for the view. For those who do not want to walk there is a regular local bus service. High quality hotel with very good service. The only problem is the noise of the traffic if you leave your window open - which we did for the view (which is fantastic).

We enjoyed our stay in Positano very much,my husband and I came for a relaxing break of four days and found there was just enough to do on top of enjoying the scenery and the fantastic food! The hotel was very pleasant the reception staff extremely helpful. Our room was lovely and overlooked the sea although it was very noisy in the mornings with the traffic going past. The other staff were helpful at all times although we had to search for someone to serve at the bar in the afternoons. We hired a car and although travelling along the narrow twisty roads can be quite terrifying we were glad we did. Just a note parking in Amalfi was very difficult so would recommend you take the bus or a boat instead. After travelling along the coast from Naples we certainly felt Positano was the most picturesque and nicest of the towns. There are plenty of good restaurants and a nice shopping area although not to be recommended if you have trouble getting around as there are lots of steps and hills. We took a boat trip to Capri for a day which was lovely, we did not use the big fast ferry but enjoyed a day on a smaller boat and found the company to be very obliging as the day we originally booked turned out to be very wet, they changed the day of our trip without any problem at all. We would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone it was in a good area and close to all amenities although it was a long walk to the shops! We can't wait to return!

The pictures don't begin to show the beauty of this hotel and location. Our triple room was suite size with small balcony. Excellent location to get to town and private beach for more privacy. Be sure to ask for elevator at Hotel Victoria. Local bus stopped right in front of hotel. Food excellent at hotel and wish they had breakfast which would make this a 10 and not a 9 for us! Stayed a week and staff were wonderful, always smiling. Traveled with couple and 25 yr old son. Will come back next year. Food wonderful in all restaurants in town. Ask about restaurant at top of city that picks you up at the hotel. Great food, little price and breathtaking views of Positano.

As first time visitors to Positano we found Posa Posa to meet our expectations. It is not an inexpensive hotel but that is fairly standard for the area. It is a reasonable walk into the main part of town but the surrounding restaurants were good and far cheaper than those in the central shopping district. The internal bus is outside the hotal door so those who don't wish to walk can catch the bus easily. Posa Posas balconies offer a farily good view (can't see any beaches from them) and are spacious enough to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Posa Posa.

The Posa Posa is in a less touristy section of Positano, close to many good eateries and overlooks the water. Our room was spacious but NOT as clean as it should have been (especially the bathroom). The "jacuzzi" tub was a large tub with jets and NOT clean enough to use. On the positive side, Julian and Nikola were wonderful - very helpful! Also, internet access is not possible unless you walk about 20 minutes down the hill to a cafe...

The room and the view from the balcony is great! We stayed in room 603 which has the biggest balcony. Staffs are very helpful. It's about 15 to 20 minutes walk uphills to the SITA bus stop. Not too bad if you don't have a lot of lugguages. And the hotel is right off the street. No need to climb stairs.

I highly recommend the hotel because of the convenient location. You must be prepared to wal a lot of incline in Positano, but it is worth it. The hotel has a small place to unload your car, and valet parking. This convenience to the main road does allow for a noisey room, but the location is worth it, just use your airconditioning at night, and keep your windows shut. The higher floors would have the best views, and be the quietest. The fourth floor breakfast area is a beautiful place to start your day. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Posa Posa was a wonderful hotel in which to stay. We stayed in a room for four. It had a balcony with a view of the bay. The staff was very helpful in all aspects. Hotel valet parking was provided for 20 euros/day. The room was very bright and airy with light blue tiles and yellow color scheme. A town bus has a stop right outside the hotel every 20 minutes that we never used as we were able to walk to all restaurants and beach area. Breakfast was very nice each morning. Price a little much, but expected.

Of our two week stay in Italy, including some very grand and expensive hotels, the Posa Posa was by far the most enjoyable. The desk staff spoke excellent English, and everyone was helpful and friendly. The town and nightlife felt local and not too touristy, which made the evenings calm and romantic. The view of the bay and town from the hotel room were breathtaking, and the rooftop balcony, where an excellent breakfast (much more than the usual "continental", the Posa Posa served eggs, fresh proscuitto, fresh pastries, real fruit juices, and more) is served, is a beautiful outdoor view of the city and the ocean, and a perfect place to start the day. We highly recommend the family style restaurant at the top of the hill (ask the desk clerk), where the food was the best we had anywhere, and they pick you up in front of the hotel and return you, all on their nickel. As for the beach, no sand, but the gravel wasn't bad. We recommend the east end of the beach, where for E15 p/p, you get a comfy lounge chair, with towel, on a clean raised patio, right on the water, with waiter service...a much cleaner and pampered option. Overall, a wonderful stay, and when we go back, it's one of the few hotels we'll repeat.

My wife and I spent 5 days at the Posa Posa and it was truly great. I had never used venere.com before but everything worked out just fine and we got very competitive rates as a result of using Venere.com. I used Venere to book my room in Rome as well and was equally as satisfied. Anyway, the Posa Posa was an exceptional experience. The room was very clean, spacious and very comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. Access to the private beach and a relatively good location with a great view was a plus. Front office staff were very helpful. We had a junior suite, room 303, and it had a marvelous view from the balcony. We kept our rental car at the Posa Posa parking facility which was most convenient. While in Positano, we observed other hotels (e.g. La Sirenese)which were nice, but from a relative value standpoint, Posa Posa gave more per dollar than these other more expensive hotels. I would return to the Posa Posa.

Posa Posa's best feature is the view that it offers. If that is your top priority, you can't go wrong. The rooms are adequate. Avoid the restaurant. The food and service are poor, and the prices are much too high, even for Positano. There are many other hotels in the area that are worth exploring before making your selection.

Coming off the ferry we thought there was no way our hotel could be in the heart of the action of Positano. And after saying "no" to the porters we lugged our bags to the nearest taxi who took us to our hotel. We could not believe the view and the ambience from our room. It was simply spectacular. Breakfasts on the roof garden were an absolute delight and while the service was not always 5 star, we did have an unforgettable experience. Would we return? Absolutely.

Posa Posa is a luxurious hotel. The staff is very good. Our room was spotless and first class. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. They provided the biggest and best breakfast of any hotel we stayed in during our two month honeymoon. We had the Suite on the Rocks, which was wonderful. The price was steep, and the only downside is that you pay quite a bit for the hotel and the dollar reached several all-time lows during our stay. I would recommend it highly, but think it is overpriced by about $50 Euros a night.

We traveled in late November and wanted to take a side trip to Positano. There are very few shops, hotels, restaurants and other features of the area open at this time. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Posa Posa from October 31-November 5. The staff generously greeted us in English (much appreciated and not expected) and were always approachable. We were placed in an okay room this only a small sea view (disappointing) and the first night was terribly noisy given it was a holiday and were were right next to the stairs and the elevator. All quieted down for the remainder of our stay so we enjoyed it. The balcony with table and chairs was wonderful. Overall an excellent stay!

An OK hotel - location is a little walk, but remember, you are in Positano, so the walk is very nice. You pass small grocers, good restaurants, shops, Farmacia before you get into the town center. The hotel was OK - floors were dirty every day, but bed was comfortable. Staff was hesitant to accept my travelers checks (in Euro's), but did after some conjoling. Restaurant was OK, but overpriced for the food quality.

Beautiful view and enjoyed the stay. Was given a "handicapped access" room, such that there was no bath or enclosure around the shower--water mess! Not sure whether this was true of all rooms, or whether we were given room of "lesser" quality--shame if true, give that I paid for one of the higher end rooms.

I have vistied the hotel with my wife in February. Positano is almost hypernating and so is the hotel. The hotel is very new re-build with nice bright rooms (ours was typically intalian yellow) located directly on the rocks and with a absolute fantastic terasse with sea and village view for breakfast. The room rate from venere.com is far below the standard room rates (>€300 for double room). The employees are very friendly and the parking service is reliable but expensive (€19/night). In total one of the best choice if you want to stay in Positano.

Posa Posa is a charming hotel, and we enjoyed our stay there immensely. The staff was very helpful and engaging. Our room was very nice and had lots of charm, not the least of which was the view from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent, served with good coffee and hot chocolate. There might be a couple of hotels in Positano that have better locations (closer to the center of town), but Posa Posa has a good location, and within 5-10 minutes, you can walk to all of the great places in Positano. We would be delighted to stay there again.

We give Posa Posa high marks in all categories. The Hotel was better than expected and a romantic spot for our honeymoon. The staff was warm and welcoming and the hotel spotless. The hotel is well positioned for taking walks and advantages of the fabulous views and the opportunity to dine at many fine restaurants.

A superb hotel but a bit of a walk from the town centre. Great restaurants close by with lots of choice. The only problem was the hotel lost the sun by 2.00pm most days. Lovely rooms with a great view of the town and side view of the sea.

A very pretty hotel. The room, which was a Royal Suite, was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Service was friendly and our stay was pleasant. I would recommend.

We would give this hotel an excellent rating except for the fact that it was not the cleanest facility, especially in light of the price.

Marvellous hotel and staff! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Opportunites (albeit minor)for improvement for the hotel an/or website would be a more succint description of the distance from either of the two beaches. You can walk but it is a significant distance down a fairly steep grade. There was an elevator to one of the beaches at another hotel which we used after promising to buy lunch at the beachside restaurant. It would be nice if Posa Posa could work out an arrangement to allow "legal" access. Similiarly, provision of a hotel minibus or equivalent would have been a plus. Hotel down ran 10 Euros at night and ~20 Euros to come back. Aside from this, very nice!

Hotel Posa Posa is on the main road about 10 minute walk from the center of town. Although the walk coming back is somewhat strenuous (this is Positano afterall), the views from the hotel are unmatched, especially compared to those from hotels lower down toward the town center. Otherwise, the room was beautiful. The bathroom had an excellent shower. We had a fabulous terrace to take in the amazing views of this vertiginous town. Overall, this was an excellent place to stay, as long as you do not mind a bit of a walk.

I enjoyed the Posa Posa, but was disappointed that it did not have even the 'small plunge pool' that their website claimed. It was well located, although directions to find it by public transport were not clear and it was only by chance that we departed our bus at the best stop. Rooms were clean, and breakfast was very good. The staff were freindly and helpful. Only once did we need to ask for our room to be valeted.

The hotel was one of the best in town and we ended up getting a great price on this web-site. There's a gorgeous view from each one of the room's balconies. I would highly suggest requesting room 601, where the bathroom is built into the rock. Also, be sure NOT TO USE THE PHONE!! It cost me literally €90 to use the phone for 15 minutes while connecting to my employer's intranet. One last tip - try to find FREE parking on the street rather in the parking lot right in front of the hotel, which costs €18 a day.

A nice small hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quality furnished bedroom with tiled floor. Nice bathroom. The junior suite that we booked has a large private balcony with the morning sun streaming into the bedroom. The restauarant on the fourth floor has a wide balcony so breafast can be taken outside. Near to beach facilities.

The hotel offered room with beautiful sea view. On the four floor there is a very elegant ristorant with a big terrance facing the water. The staff served us breakfast was very nice and efficient, also there were large variety of food and drink for your choice of breakfast. The whole stay was very relaxing and fun.
