We are Americans and would much prefer a hot breakfast, rather than a cold cut continental. Also the shower/tub was small and never more than warm water.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. We took their advice for dinner each of the two nights we were there and we were very pleased with the outcome. They also provided good directions and suggestions for things to do and the best ways to get around. Getting to the hotel the first time was a little confusing, as road signs in Positano are infrequent, but once we started asking the locals there were no more problems.

This place is a good value. Room size above average for Italy, breakfast above average, good service, rooms very clean. Parking is 15 Euro, and you mus twalk to bottom of hill (About 1/4 mile) to retrieve it when you check out.

Positano is lovely! From the ferry, it's a walk up to the taxi, about 8 blocks with luggage. BUT, after that! Oh My God...it is the most beautiful place I've ever been. There is a one way road which winds around the city, back and forth, back and forth, etc. We finally got to the hotel. The reception area is a little cheesy, but the staff is great. The rooms were great and the balconies unbelievable. We got a lot of exercise walking up and down stairs to the beach and shops, but it was so worth it! We loved it and would stay again!

Great location, all rooms face the ocean so views were terrific however room was far too small for three people. The fold down bed extremely uncomfortable & small and expected a higher standard for the rate. Terrible sewer smell most days. Our balcony was miniscule unlike the photograph of the balcony on the web site which is in fact part of a more expensive room on upper floor so this was a little deceiving. This hotel doesnt have a restaurant but does have a cafe which serves tasty bruschettas. Highly recommend the great food a couple of doors up at the Hotel Villa Gabrisa. I think we may be able to get better value for money elsewhere so would probably not return.

We thought the surroundings and view were excellent. We felt that the information provided to us concerning beach access, use of towels, restaurants to be poor. We had two children 3 and 6 and we were told to get to the beach by 'stairs' which we did but were exhausted by heat. we overheard the same staff telling an american couple about the shuttle which stopped in front of the hotel to get to the beach and a boat to get around to the best beach. Very difficult to get wallet in and out..had to sign and get a reciept even though going to beach and had to have this bit of paper everytime wanted something and a new one had to be made. On the last morning we had to leave at 7 am to get our flight out of naples and the guy setting up for breakfast didn't want to give us anything until the alotted time of 7:30 am yet we had breakfast included..our room was brilliant and you couldn't ask for a better view. very clean and lovely. overall great just need to ask the 'right' questions I guess.

The Best Western was better than expected. The photos seem to indicate a dated-looking hotel. It was clean, spacious and airy - perfect for Positano. We had 2 rooms between 2 couples and both were very nice. The hotel is tiled throughout which contributed to noisy passerbys. The hotel reception was helpful, but quite forceful at times when promoting a local dinner or themed-night. We dined at a fabulous restaurant 2 doors up - it wasnt promoted by the hotel but it was superior to others closer to the beach.

BEAUTIFUL hotel with spectacular views from every room. Ask for a balcony with sun beds and you won't be disappointed! The staff have handy recommendations on where to eat 'cheaply' nearby. Make sure you get off at the first Positano stop if you arrive on the Amalfi coast bus from Sorrento. Then wait for a small orange bus to come which will stop right outside the hotel (just ask the bus driver if it goes to the Best Western). I think bus tickets were only 1 Euro per person. It is a steep walk down to the town/beach from the hotel (takes about 10-15 minutes) but you can easily get an orange bus down and back up to the hotel instead.

Great hotel. Had a balcony room with an amazing view: that said, I am not sure if all the hotels in Positano have spectacular views anyway. Service was a little stand-offish. Breakfast was great, with fresh/hot pastries amongst the buffet. Room was small but delightful, with outstanding view and a charming terrace).

We travelled as a family of four with two parents and two university aged adult children. The hotel rooms were clean with great verandahs and fantastic views. Highly recommended.

For our first visit in Positano it was the perfect time and the perfect hotel. we had wonderful time but unfortunately we spent only one night so we dont know if it would have affected our answers if we stayed more nights. Positano was our last point in the south before returned to Rome. We are sure we will visit again in the future but we are afraid to visit in the summer time as we learned it is soooooo crouded. thank you and hope we helped.

A fabulous hotel in a fabulous town. Huge room, with jacuzzi, sitting room, very comfortable bed and lovely terrace festooned with bougainvillea and overlooking the town and Amalfi coast. Staff was welcoming and competent. Hotel is located on a local bus route that will take you down to the shore and (more important) bring you back up. Highly recommended!

My husband, daughter, and I fell in love with Positano. This hotel was perfect for our stay. Before we even arrived our experience was a positive one. Tony arranged for a car to pick us up at the Naples train station and take us to the hotel. The Rainbow car service was fabulous and we used them on 2 other occasions. Tony also helped us arrange our trip to Capri. Enzo's restaurant recommendations were good. The view from the hotel balcony is magnificient. Positano and Hotel Best Western Pasitea were the perfect ending to our trip to Italy. Even though many places were closed, we enjoyed the peacefulness. We look forward to coming back to Positano and this hotel.

This hotel was a delightful surprise to us. The location on the cliff was excellent and the bus line to take you to the beach was right outside the door. The room and bathroom were very spacious and the view from the balcony was fabulous. Nice clean room, spa bath in the bathroom was great! Large balcony provided beautiful views. Although the double room we had was a little different to the photos on the website. Ours was smaller with no couch. Excellent experience for our first time in Positano. Wish we could've stayed longer as we only stayed one night.

Top quality hotel with beautiful views accross the bay and down into Positano, staff were excellent and friendly and comptent. Room was fantastic with a terrece with recliners table and chairs looking out to sea. There is only one road winding its way through Positano and this hotel is directly on it, however there are no noise or traffic issues and road only carries village traffic as thru traffic uses main road above village. I would reccomend this hotel in all aspects and believe that it was better situated than those closer to the bottom of the hill as it afforded views and was more relaxed and not caught up in the tourist crush. Breakfast was very good and more than sufficed with a good selection. Bar was well priced. The room itself had a fridge which was empty which allowed the option of using to have drinks from bar in room or to keep food in to make sandwhiches for the days out. Very good overall and didn't give all 10's as felt this would mean no room to improve but in reality this hotel was faultless and excellent value for money. No complaints and a lot of happy memories. Thanks alot.

The photos were pretty much exactly how the room was. BEAUTIFULL!! we had a balcony overlooking water it was just magic. Although, the room could have been a little larger and being the third person I had the honour of sleeping on the foldout lounge. So my only suggestion to the nice people at Hotel Pasitea would be to PLEASE install a single bed instead of the uncomfortable lumpy lounge I had the pleasure of experiencing. All in all it was a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with helpful staff. Oh, and the breakfast was more then we expected, yum. We would certainly recommend this hotel and feel one would be hard pressed to find anything better in gorgeous Positano.

Beautiful place. We actually got married during our stay at Le Sireneuse but stayed here due to the more reasonable price. We stayed in the largest room and it was beautiful. There were terrace ocean views from each room which were spectacular, and for Positano you could not beat the value. We will definitely stay at the Pasitea on our next visit to Positano.

This not being our first time to Positano, we were somewhat disappointed to find that the hotel was in fact a long way from the centre of town. The staff were not particularly friendly upon check in either. We should have stayed in our last hotel - cheaper, quieter and much, much, much closer to town. I would not recommend staying at the Pasitea.

No one wanted to wait a second for anything!). It was a great stay. All of the restaurunts they recommended were out of this world. We loved Hotel Pasitea...the location, the facility and the staff. We had the most spacious balcony overlooking a magnificient view of the mountainside into the water. Breathtaking! The only problem we encountered was a leaky faucet in our bathroom sink and although we asked to fix it 3 times, the only thing that was done was to give us an extra bathmat to help sop up the water (Room #33). It was an inconvenience. Also, the shower stall only had 1/2 glass door and often the shower (which was a hand held type that is most common in Italy) sprayed the water all over the bathroom floor.

This is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The rooms were just as advertised on internet or perhaps even better. The balconys were very large with tables and lounge chairs and incredible views. The hotel is right on the city bus route, and it stops outside the door. There is a lot of beautiful art in the hotel as well. The breakfast was also good with a few extras, sliced ham, cheese, etc. We took a free shuttle bus to a restaurant recommended by the hotel which we were not that impressed with. Could not really recommend that. But other- wise all perfect!!! bus to a restaurant

I had originally booked a suite believing that I would have a large balcony as pictured on the website. When we arrived the junior suite had a tiny balcony and bathroom, in a massive room with jacuzzi. The standard room at 70 euro cheaper per night had a larger bathroom, and beautiful balcony with views. The staff were prepared to let me change rooms, however at the higher price. I complained about this and they then agreed to my request. The interno positano bus stops directly outside the hotel, and saw if feeling lazy after dinner one can easily get home on the bus! Would highly recommend this property. Excellent location and value for money.

This place is not cheap but worth the money for a short stay. Once you get the hang of the one-way bus it is easy to get around. Staff very friendly and competent and referals to modestly priced restaurants were spot on. All rooms really do overlook the sea. I am going to be critical so I had better start by saying that if I was going back to Positano I would book here again. The views are fantastic, the private terraces lovely, no complaints, HOWEVER the photos are most misleading. The furniture is cheap, the beds mediocre, the headboards attached to the wall not the bed. We did complain that our room was much smaller than the one featured in the photo & were offered that room instead, but it's terrace is small & low (near road) so we opted for what we had. The "Piano Bar" is just for looks - there is a Piano in Reception! It's not dishonesty, just some very effective photography. Great staff & like I said, next time I go, will book there.

This hotel was excellent overall. The staff recommended numerous restaurants off the beaten path that were very good. There was usually free transportation to these restaurants. We had a superior suite that was very large and our outdoor terrace was probably 10 ft. x 25 ft. Breakfast was reasonable (some meats, fruit, cheese, danishes, yogurt). On the negative side the walls were paper-thin and we could hear the guests next to us. The hair dryer was basically a small fan so bring your own. Overall, though, it was a wonderful stay with an incredible view, and the staff is excellent.

The Best Western Pasitea in Positano was roomy, nice view, adequate facility. . . Although the hotel seemed nicely maintained, our room was in dire need of being painted. Dark marks were all over the walls. The furnishings in the room were not to our liking, but that's a personal thing -- everything was wrought iron -- headboard, chandelier, chairs, tables, bedstands -- wrought iron and glass, very cold. It rained (Feb) when we were there, and it was gloomy and cold. The heat, as in many places these days, only works when you are in the room, i.e. when the electronic key is in its slot. The thermostat was set at 26 degrees Celsius, and the only thing we could control was the fan. Everything in the room -- the sheets, pillows, blanket, mattress-- were so cold when we went to bed, that my wife didn't want to shower or take off her clothes for bed. The heater ran all night and it was quite noisy, resulting in an extremely restless night for the both of us. Breakfast was typical -- yogurt, cheese, ham, cookies, canned fruit and juice. The coffee was excellent, the real thing. The hotel offered Internet use at a station. For 5 euros for a half hour, but they had problems getting it to work for us, and finally when they did (in the morning when we were leaving, they could not figure out how to type an "@" resulting in a tremendous waste of our time on the computer, us not being able to send the e-mails to whom we wanted to, and them not reimbursing us for the loss. Also, they charged 12 euros for parking, which is something we didn't know. The town of Positano seemed completely closed down, so we truly appreciated that the desk clerk offered to have a car pick us up from a restaurant someplace up on a mountain crag.

Great spacious rooms and bathrooms. Must improve hair dryers. Would like to have the alternative of air conditioning and mini bar in room. Faboulus terrace in room with unforgetable view. No better location with localbus stop right in front of door and the best restaurant in town right next door.. Would definetly stay there next time. The best hotel in town. Great location. Parking although conviniently located should be included in rate, thought it was very expensive.

The parking being non-existant costs too much at 18 Euro per day down the street from the Hotel.

Fantastic views and a good location for restaurants. It is an easy walk to either beach. The breakfast included in the cost of the room is very well done. I would stay at this hotel again. Now, for a few more detailed comments... I rated the public areas lower because of the terrible artwork and other decor items that distracted from a lobby that could have been furnished much more tastefully. I really appreciated the size of the room, though the bathroom was oddly arranged. It was frustrating to see room around the bidet, while I struggled to use the toilet because of how close it was to the sink. A person much taller than 5'10" would have real difficulties. The hotel's internet service was the most expensive I encountered during my 3 weeks in Italy, and no one seemed to know how to repair the broken "@" symbol so critical in sending emails. The problem persisted during my whole stay, and rather than remove the troublesome computer, I watched countless guests struggling with it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pasitea. Everyone was helpful and friendly. They responded to our questions via e-mail and delivered on what they promised. Enzo, Tony, Georgia, and Gian really made us feel welcome. . We arrived after lunch but before dinner time when the area restaurants were closed; but, Georgia fixed us a wonderful lunch even though the hotel restaurant was closed. Needless to say that got our stay off to a wonderful start. They also helped us get the best price possible on transportation and made some wonderful restaurant suggestions. It was a lovely way to end our three week trip to Italy.

We were treated very well here and the hotel is of a high standard. We were unlucky with our initial room allocation being able to hear our neighbours, however we spoke to reception and they moved us straight away to a beautiful room. The hotel is situated in a good location for the sunshine and for Positano, a little way out of the hustle but everything can still be easily reached by foot. The breakfast was lovely although it could be improved by adding a few more choices. The staff here (Georgia and Tony in particular) were very friendly and were very ready to help us with tours etc. They also recommended restaurants, one of which (the one next door to the hotel!) was particularly good and is definately worth a visit. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would love to go back again soon (while we are still young enough to cope with the steps).

We felt the hotel was lovely, very clean. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were more than helpful -- they recommended a restaurant and had a car pick us up, take us to the restaurant, and get us after dinner was over. The restaurant was very good, by the way.We love Positano and would stay at the Best Western Pasitea again!

We stayed for 17 days and nights at Hotel Pasitea on our honeymoon and we could not have asked for more. Positano It's self is gorgeous and hotel pasitea gave us a continuously professional and friendly stay. The views from our room were extraordinary and the restaurant just next door was the best in the town (Da Gabrisa). There are over 400 steps down to the beach but this is the nature of positano! The walk is quite beautiful and a bus runs every 15 minutes to and from the town and drops off directly outside the hotel (a smart idea for the way back up). Don't be put off by this hotel being a Best Western hotel - the only thing Americanised about it is that it is clean, modern and air conditioned!

The staff as the Best Western Pasitea were delightful. They recommended and provided transportation to wonderful restaurants. They were more than curtious (which was a welcome change from hotels in Rome). The hotel has the most romantic and spectacular views I've ever seen. We spent most of our time on the private terrace. I can't wait to go back and have recommended this hotel to all our friends.

We visited this property at the coldest time of the year and at the lowest part of the season. The latter contributed to a high noise level from renovations and a slightly messy appearance in the main entrance way. The front desk was very friendly; the room with sea-facing patio was stupendous. All in all, for one night, a very nice experience.

The hotel is very good. We booked the suite and it provided everything promised, including jacuzzi bath. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was a bit limited and samey, and it was a bit of a trek into town as the Pasitea is quite high up (it's a long walk in the rain) - the steps are a killer so better walking round the twisty, hilly road.

The hotel stuff was very friendly and the view from the room's balcony is marvelous. If you arrive by car, you have to pay 12 €/day at the hotel and 15 €/day when their own parking is occupied. So better reserve the parking when you do the reservation at the hotel.

Tony the receptionist and other staff were absolutely great and helpful. The pictures on your web site do not pay justice to the place, it is prettier in reality. You may want to take the breakfast room picture from another angle or show a picture of the view from a room instead.

The first night we were in a room on the first floor, right on the busy street... All traffic in Positano goes into town on one street, one way. Very small for a junior suite. We asked to be moved, they said we could move the next day... This room on the 4th floor was very spacious,& quieter, more of what is expected for a jr. suite... Very nice continental breakfast, & very helpful staff.

This is our favorite hotel in Positano. The suites all have large in-room whirlpool tubs, and a large patio. Staff could not have been nicer. This was our second visit this year. Highly reccomend.

This was one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have stayed at in Italy. We booked a superior suite for 2 nights in April 2002. The room was spacious and immaculate, with a small sitting area and a separate jacuzzi. The patio was large and were furnished with chaise lounge chairs. The hotel has gone through a major renovation recently, and appeared to be brand new. We are booked into a superior suite again this fall, and cannot wait to return.

This hotel is very comfortable and the balconies added to its charm. The views from the balconies were exquisite. We would have preferred more sunny days to enjoy the location. However, we know you are not in control of the weather. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to others.
