The Kempinski Palace Portorož – a hotel which has stories to tell …
The grand opening of the Kempinski Palace in 1910 was already something out of the ordinary with its classiness and luxury. In 1980 the traditional part of the hotel was declared a cultural monument, due to its architecture. Today the old and new building show an interesting symbiosis of tradition and state-of-the-art.
The Kempinski Palace is located in the very heart of Portorož, in the Mediterranean climate of the Adriatic Sea, near to Venice and not far from Vienna, those cities to which Portorož was related in former times. Portorož is an excellent initial point for excursions: two of the greatest Slovene tourist attractions known around the world, the Postojna Cave and the Lipica Stud Farm, are close to Portorož.

Tradition meets state-of-the-art. The completely renovated historical part of the hotel offers a classic-modern interior on the highest level. Directly connected to the main building there is a state-of-the-art second part of the hotel, which appears an elaborate extravagance. The entire hotel features 183 individual hotel rooms. All rooms offer air-conditioning, a modern audio-video system, including a LCD TV, phone, broadband internet access and chargeable video-on-demand. Besides the basic equipment like a mini-bar, a safe, a bathroom with a bathtub and shower in higher categories, most of the rooms have a balcony and park – or sea view. The interior of the hotel rooms is designed by a French designer. Beside the modern furniture and exclusive décor, you will always find a colorful rose in each room.

The house is very nice. Staff at reception very friendly, service staff at breakfast very good. Room Service bad, the night service was twice forgotten, (we stayed 4 nights). Our stay was holiday.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Rates include breakfast buffet, taxes and service charges, free use of the Rose Spa. 3rd Person possible in the Junior Suite. Surcharge for extrabed € 60, supplement for breakfast € 26. Children til 6 years stay free of charge, 6 to 12 years they receive 50% discount on extrabed and breakfast charge. Pets are allowed at a daily charge of € 30 (without food). Parking available at € 18 per car per day.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A cancellation or modification of your booking without any charges is only
possible until 72 hours prior to your arrival. Less than 72 hours prior to
arrival 80% penalty of the total stays value apply, this applies as well in
case of an early departure. In case of non arrival we will charge 100% of
the total stay’s value if the rooms cannot be sold.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 3 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
