Il est dommage qu'à ce niveau de prix l'accès à la plage de l'hôtel soit payant ce qui n'était pas indiqué lors de la réservation.De même il faut savoir que "navette pour la plage" signifie un départ le matin.....et un ou deux retours le soir à partir de 17H30. Un peu juste pour le standing de l'établissement. A part cela très bonnes prestations,très bon accueil et un service charmant.

The one thing that both me and my wife considered to be terrible is the shower. Water splashes everywhere, the curtain does not close completely, the floor is 100% level so water doesn't drain, the space confined by the curtain is quite small. And it could be much better, there is room for a much better shower, and it would make it a perfect hotel room.

Boutique Hotel. Old building with awsome, modern and tasfully decorated rooms. Very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Staff is competent and helpful.

Un weekend straordinario in un albergo bellissimo. Il proprietario/gestore lo chiama "casa" ed in effetti è proprio confortevole come un'accoghliente casa. Silenziosissimo, a un passo dalla Piazzetta, con camere dotate di confort e di moderne tecnologie, oltre che spaziose e ben arredate. Bagno ed antibagno comodi, sala della colazione accogliente, colazione ricca. Il personale è competente, disponibile e simpatico.

San Giorgio is a beautiful hotel and we'd certainly consider staying there again.

Overall, I was extremely happy with my stay at the San Giorgio. I was looking for somewhere that I would be able to properly relax, and be looked after, and the hotel and staff manged this perfectly. Especially worthy of note was how well designed the room was. The use of top quality materials and fittings really made it feel a special place to come back to each night.

I chose this hotel to ask my girlfriend for wedding so you can imagine the level i was accounting for... it was a perfect week end (3 days 2 nights), the personel is great, the director very friendly, everybody 's very helpfull. the bedroom (junior suite) was just like the picture, and even better cause there was no picture of the bathroom !!! this hotel mixes tradition (warm colors for example) and modernity with great designed furnitures and nice modern art in public areas. we were on the top floor and didnt hear a noise from outside or the other rooms. our view was great, on the portofino heights, across the harbour (no view on the sea). Portofino is calm and nice even in top season (end of july). try the little restaurant next door, its better seafood than the others down hill (i mean its the best seafood).

The San Giorgio hotel is a short walk for the Piazzetta. The rooms are modern and spacious with great bathrooms. The reception desk was busy when we arrived so the staff brought glasses of champagne while we waited. It's gestures like this that make the difference. It is the next best thing to staying at Hotel Splendido! The online reservation was excellent - I would definitely use venere.com again since payment is on check out.
