Hotel Seculo - Porto

It's a bit of an uphill trek from the smart end of Rua Santa Catarina to the hotel, but once there it's worth the walk. The rooms are spacious and clean, there's a very impressive looking fire escape at the rear, and it's nice & quiet. Breakfast is included and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The quality of hotels in Porto varies considerably, and you can't always predict what you're going to get on price alone, but I would recommend this as a good quality budget hotel that is a great deal!

A good choice for a couple who does not mind walking a bit up and down the steep hills of the town. Excellent location near enough the historical city. Friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Luxurious bathroom for this room price. Very nice balcony.

I travelled with my husband. We found the staff very welcoming. They were most helpful in all areas but particularly in respect of the parking of our car.Seculo was`within walking distance of the old city but the proximity of the underground made access very easy. We would recommend this hotel.

We had only one night in Porto in October 2010 but had the good fortune of staying at the Residencial Seculo, thanks to Venere.com. The modern double room was spacious and airy and had a full private balcony. The bathroom had a nice big jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was very good and the public areas of the hotel were nice. The price was very fair at 65 Euro including a nice breakfast and garage parking. The property was in the university district, a downhill walk from the center of town and its many restaurants and shops and was just one Metro stop back. The staff was knowledgeable could not have been nicer or more helpful to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Residencial Seculo and would love to return.

Staff very eager to please.Good restaurant reccomendations. Front bedroom very noisy with traffic if window open but very efective double glazing otherwise! Good position to explore city. Generally reccomended in this price range.
