For the price a great deal. Breakfast is ok, staff is helpful rooms are above average for Europe. Location is not bad but avoid the rooms next to the elevators. Overall an excellent stay, nicer than the pictures.

non è un albergo da 3 stelle. carenza di manutenzione, mi è rimasta in mano la manioglia della finestra del bagno perchè mancavano le viti di fissaggio. Armadio vecchio e mal tenuto. Parcheggio gratuito ma solo se c'è posto, non è specificato, in internet, che bisogna prenotare il posto. Albergo non vicino al centro

A parte lo stile "casa della nonna" che può essere una questione solo estetica, l'hotel non era un gran che. Va bene per 2/3 notti, ma per un soggiorno di una settimana andrei altrove.

Stayed in hotel for 5 nights. Location was rather noisy especially at night. Room was very good for the price. I would recommend a stay there especially if you are no a tight budget.

Room was very outdated, dusty, and overall a bit bland. There were cobwebs on ceiling and the floor in the bathroom was not swept. The room was very cramped. The parking was difficult. But the gentleman who worked there was excellent and very helpful.

Nicely located in the quiet area of Porto and close to the old part of the city and the shopping street. It was very pleasant to stay there and rooms are quite spacious. If we were staying in Porto again, we would go to the same place for sure.

The Hotel Menfis is a small hotel near the main city centre, however, as Porto is has very steep hills, it seems further when you walk it! The hotel staff are polite and helpful, the rooms are spacious and the buffet breakfast is good. Our rooms were a bit dusty and tatty, but they were cleaned daily with the beds being immaculately made up and fresh towels placed in the bathroom. The air conditioning unit was very effective and the TV had a good range of English language channels. There wasn't a safe in the room, but the reception has individual safe boxes that you keep the key for. Finding good vegetarian food was a bit of a problem, but we found an excellent booklet called 'Porto Menu' which lists and maps different places to eat.

WE HAVE NOT EXPECTED TOO MUCH, I THINK FOR SOMEONE HOW NEEDS TO SLEEP, TAKE A SHOWER AND CUP OF COFFEE AT THE REASONABLE RATE CLOSE TO THE CITY CENTRE, IT`S NOT BAD.WE HAVE SEEN THE PRICE LIST ON OUR DOOR INDICATING THE RACK RATE OF OUR ROOM BEEING 250 EURO WHICH WOULD BE RIDICULOUS INDEED. THE ONLY THING THAT DISTURBED ME A BIT WAS THE FACT THAT THE LADIES WHO PREPARED THE BREAKFAST WERE SERVING THEMSELVES FROM THE BUFFET AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE CLIENTS WHICH SEEMD INAPPROPRIATE.THE ROOM AND FURNITURE CORRESPONDED WITH THE FADED GLORY WE HAVE EXPECTED AND ACCEPTED, JUST THE BATH TUB WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED, THE SECOND (?)SURFACE COATING IS ALMOST GONE, FAIR ENOUGH TO TAKE A SHOWER, BUT WOULD NEVER TAKE A BATH IN IT.BUT NO REAL BAD FEELINGS ABOUT IT.

Albergo abbastanza distante dal centro, posto in una zona non troppo rassicurante (la sera si prendeva sempre il taxi per tornare in hotel). Camera spaziosa, ma sporca e maleodorante.Lo sconsiglio a tutti. Va detto che alcuni membri del personale non parlano inglese (alcuni sono persino stati scortesi). Per quel prezzo si trova decisamente di meglio ad Oporto, e in zone sicuramente migliori.

Although the hotel is timely, it is clean and spacious, with excelent quality vs. price ratio. Aslo, it is 15 min by foot away from city center.
