This was our first time we were in Porto. The hotel was very well priced and an excellent value. They even provided a free shuttle to the very close airport. The only negative was the restaurant food which was mediocre.

It was really a beautiful room with a marvellous bathroom very clean and comfortable in a very quiet place. The hotel is near to the metro and to the airport (3 minutes walking). Perfect for eveything.

I had low expectations of a hotel by an airport, so was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were very spacious, the staff were charming and it was surprisngly quiet. One of the other reviewers gives information on how to find the hotel, which was very useful. It is so close to the airport that it's not worth taking a taxi - even if you could find one that would take you such a short distance. The bar's nothing special, but all in all, I thought this hotel offered exceptionally good value.

Business Clients, not far from Airport but indications are senseless and I had to ask a lot of citizens where to go to find the hotel. There should be useful to specify the metro stop name: Botica.

The hotel was a little hard to find, but the staff were very helpful and the room was huge. we had a giant bathtub which was wonderful. we ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and had a very good experience. overall, the hotel is simple but great for what you pay. it's proximity to the airport (5 minutes by cab) was very convenient.

Stayed at Pedras Rubras overnight since we had a very early flight the next morning. The hotel is an excellent value. Nice, clean, large, modern rooms. It takes only about 10 minutes to walk to the airport and the walk is level and easy. Sorry, but I can't say that the restaurant is great but it was adequate for a quick, quiet evening meal. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone who needs to overnight near the airport and have good access to ground transportation.

The hotel is perfect for an overnight stay before leaving from the airport. The hotel is a short walk from the airport. Leave the airport, walking past the coach parking area, cross the dual carraigeway, go under the bridge and take the road on the right - 10 minutes.

Our room was beautiful and the hotel was very conveniently located by the airport. The trouble was, we couldn't find it on the night we got there - it was so close to the airport that the taxis told us to walk but we ended up walking around for an hour because the signpost to the hotel wasn't very visible in the dark and our Portuguese was not good. Once we got there, the receptionist was quite sullen and unfriendly, but other staff seemed friendly later in the trip. The room was absolutely incredible and excellent value. Travelling to the city was easy - just a metro ride away.

Travelled with a family of four and booked two double bed rooms. It was nearly impossible to find the hotel, because the road where the hotel is is named "Rua de Hotel Pedras Rubras" and not "Rua das Pedras Rubras" as written in the VENERE description !!! Also the road and the hotel are very new and our navigation system did not have the road on its map. We searched for 45 minutes ! The rooms are wonderful, bathrooms large and clean, breakfast good, staff very friendly. Typical busines hotel. Only negative aspect: The beds are VERY hard. I couldn't sleep half the night. Rooms are quiet although close to the airport (2 min drive). Drive into Porto is only 15 min.

For a hotel near the airport it is the best! The surroundings are poors but it is normal for a hotel near the airport.Only problem was to find the hotel even by GPS becouse the pedras rubras street it is on the other part of the airport! The hotel is placed on o small entrance with a small indicator.

It was the first time for us at this hotel. It is a bit difficult to find and quite far away from the city, but with a car it is much better than in the city center (which is noisier). Breakfast is too expensive if you consider that only self service is possible and that food quality is not excellent (fruit salad in particular isn't good).

Extremly difficult to find requires a much larger sign at entrance of hotel Poorly situated between builder and timber yards I think you could forgive the position of the hotel if ony it was better sign posted Could not believe that we were UNABLE to buy a GLASS of wine at bar only half bottles sold Otherwise staff and hotel good

This hotel is excellent. We stayed here because it is close to the airport. We would stay again, and for longer next time, because it is clean, quiet, comfortable, good restaurant, pleasant staff, close to the station and excellent value for money. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Very professional, they have a shuttle to the airport, which was very convenient. The breakfast was nice. The staff were very professional. The room was very nice, but it needs just a little renovation, since the bathroom door had water damage and the whole bathroom smelled like a damp towel left out for too long. Probably because of the large tub, which was great, but obviously is causing some problems. The room was very clean, however, and at a good price. It is a short walk to the train/streetcar which takes you downtown. A perfect choice for our last day in Porto and a departure from the airport in the morning.

The first room where I stayed there was a constant noise probably from a ventilation system that couldn't be stoped, they changed the room to one for handicaped people, that didn't sound very nice, but ok. The second room was quieter.

A very modern bedroom with amazing en-suite bathroom. Excellent service by all staff. Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the airport terminal building and to the metro, also free transfer by hotel mini-bus. Our one night stay was very comfortable.

It's a very nice hotel, clean, modern and very confortable. Rooms are great and breakfast good. The only thing is that you need a car to go to the downtown because it is located next to the airport.

Directions to the hotel are useless. It is in fact almost in the airport:- on foot, when you come out of the terminal on the ground floor, turn right and go to the roundabout, turn left, cross over the road. The hotel acess road is on your right just after you've passed under the flyover. Total walking time with bags on wheels: less than 10 minutes. Otherwise, you can get the tourist office to call the hotel & send their minibus. Restaurant quality is good. Go now (2008) - I don't think the prices will last.

This hotel is the closest to the airport in Porto and is quite new. It is ultra-modern with spotless cleanliness and excellent service. The bathroom has a jetted bathtub. The restaurant had excellent food and the service was terrific.

We were in transit to South Africa and only needed to overnight at an hotel close to the airport, so my wife and I chose this one, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone else who wanted to stay longer. Facilities were excellent, staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English and we were very close to the train station. Will definitely use them again!! Thank you very much.

My room was huge and very clear. The restaurant was very small and were available only few meals in the menu, but everything I have eaten tasted very good. The hotel is very close to the airport but if you want to go by walking you have to walk for a strange and long route.better to take the near metro: just one stop to the airport

The hotel is comfortable and quite acceptable especially in comparison with the price but the problem is indication to reach to the hotel. Address is not correct in web site : There is another street called 'Rue Pedras Rubras' while the correct address of the hotel is 'Rue Hotel Pedras Rubras' which is opposite side after big rotary from 'Rue Pedras Rubras' and quite difficult to find out the hotel. Furthermore, there is no indication on the entrance of the street where indicated only 'hotel'as well as hotel building where shown only 'HOTEL'. Anyhow, I lost 30 minutes to find out the location of the hotel.

Please specify on the home page the name of subway stop, because the hotel name Pedras rubras seems to be next to station Pedras Rubras, but actually it is near Botica. We couldn't find the hotel and waisted almost 1 hour!

The public areas are clad in white marble with modernist blue glass doors which felt rather cold & antiseptic in November. Our first night was spent in a split level room (marble & wood floors, marble bathroom) & this wouldn't be a happy choice for elderly visitors with poor vision or unsteady on their feet or guests who need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night! There are bedrooms available on one level on the second floor. The beds were very hard.Breakfast was continental & the choice was adequate/relatively poor. A request for an early breakfast to be delivered as room service was refused because the request had not been included in the Venere booking. This was not acceptable as the service was available to guests who had booked directly with the hotel.Relatively good meals could be obtained in the bar upto 10pm.Free Hotel shuttle to airport was excellant. Good choice as an airport hotel with minimal outside noise.

Ottimo albergo accanto all'areoporto.
