The hotel was fine - the room was quite small but considering I was alone it was OK. The rooms are clean and kept clean. The staff wasn't very friendly compared to other places I stayed. But having said that my stay was fine. The buffet breakfast was the same each day but they did provide a reasonable amount of choice. There was a lift and although small it worked. Location is not that bad actually. It might be for some a little bit outside the old part of the city but it's just an extra 5-10 minutes walk and that wasn't a problem for me at all (maybe for others). All in all it was fine and reasonable value for me but that does depend on the time you book - it can differ.

The hotel is on a very busy and noisy (and dirty) street - try to get a room facing the yard ! The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. The floor in the room was however cranked, and some of the boards would come out. The breakfast buffet was very rich. The hotel doesn't have a real luggage room, ours was put to the handicapped people's bathroom...

Very well situated, in a main street of Porto. You can walk to the city centre. There is a shopping centre in a 5 minutes walk. Good price, not expensive. Our room was noisy because of the cars in the street.

Receptionists (I meet 5 of them) NEVER smile. I asked also informations for the nearest metro station: their answer (verified on their drawn map and tube's map) was uncorrect and I walked under the rain a lot, without reason. Don't book room nr. 103: it's over the reception, and you listen everything, telephone rings included; and it's ON the street: opening window, everyone see you as a red quarter! Very clean, bathorooms too.

Rooms at front of hotel are very noisy! The road is very busy all night as it seems to be a major travel route in and out of city. After one night we asked to be moved to a room at the back of the hotel which was much quieter. Location is good but definitely not in a pretty part of town. About 10 minute walk to nearest metro stop and the main shopping street in Porto. Good half hour walk from Ribera district. Breakfast was very adequate. Staff, although not entirely helpful, were competent.

Although we turned up about 10am, our room was made available very shortly for us to store our luggage and we had free coffee whilst waiting. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff gave us good info about the sights in Porto, and directions for getting to the airport. The hotel is easy walking distance from the centre of town and has its own car park - a bit narrow (had to back out) but still very convenient.

É um bom lugar para hospedagem pois está muito próximo da zona central(historica) da cidade e ,no máximo , a 5 euros de táxi das principais atrações da cidade. Gostamos muito!

The hotel is very good vslue for money as I previously stated - and I still recomend it, but this time we were given a room which was extremelly smelling of cigarettes and the airconditioning system did not work.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the start of our holiday in Portugal and we considered it a very good value for money. The only problem was some noise in the room because of the street trafic. Keeping windows closed and using the airconditioning system improved the situation. However the one night spent in this hotel at the end of our holiday was not so good (see our other rating and review about this hotel).
