To be honest, we got an upgrade to the second floor seaview suite, 100m2 of luxury indoors and another 100m2 of spaciousness and seaview outdoors so we are biased. So, for the 150 Euro per night we paid, we got a lot more than we had expected and it felt like quite good value for money. Assuming that the standard rooms were just as quiet, the beds just as good (best we found in otherwise generally quite mediocre beds in Madeira, often twins despite request for double, here real queensize), our price would have felt on the high side if we had gotten a standard room. Breakfast and food on the terrace was of poor quality and limited choice, wifi only avaiable in a very limited area in front of the reception desk. But the location on the beautiful beach, the quality of the beds and the quant island make up for most of any shortcomings.
