Marconfort El Greco Hotel - Portinatx

Great offer, great price for an all inclusive and a nice destination, recommend not booking a hotel transfer and just use a cab at the airport as its cheaper around €40.00 each way. Booked outside school holidays hoping for a little more relaxation but found out that most parents don't care and happily take the children outside of school, no fault of the hotel but be warned. Unfortunately these children are mostly left to roam wild around the complex which can at times be a bit of a spoiler, again no fault of the hotel but the British parents (hate to say it but the same doesn't go for the other nationalities who where there) Pool is a little on the small side and can get crowded, life guard is only there from 11:00 and has lunch and finishes around 18:00 so first thing and lunch times so can be a bit of a free for all. As usual all over the Med, the Brits get out and get there towels down early. Beach is great but be prepared to pay €5.00 per item hired per day, so 2 beds and a parasol is €15.00 per day. Meal times can resemble a school canteen as its buffet and can get noisy. Food quality was excellent and in the week we had 11 types of sea food, salads and fruit were in abundance. Again as its all inclusive be prepared to see people drinking all through the day and having cocktails before lunch. luckily there measures are only served in plastic cups pool side so reasonably small. Room was clean and functional, maid service was 1st rate. could do with a remote control for the TV and at least one English entertainment channel (only had BBC & Sky News). All the staff were excellent and would help as much as they could, all inclusive ends and 23:00 after that you pay till 00:00 when the bar closes. A great place to stay if you have young children and want a superb location, just be careful of the older children and parents who like to drink 12 Hrs a day.
