exterior Hotel Carosello exterior A warm welcome to the Petretti Family’s Hotel Ristorante Carosello. Our hotel has been managed with passion for over three generations, and has become, for many, a second home.
The hotel, which has three-stars, situated between the Pontecagnano and Battipaglia exits of the A3 highway (SA-RC), is in an ideal location for both the business traveller that needs to quickly reach the major commercial centers of Campania, and for tourists, (individuals or in groups), that wish to visit the principal attractions of the area, such as the Amalfi Coast, the Cilentana Coast, Paestum’s temples, or the Pompeii Ruins. Welcome to the family, where hospitality is our pleasure; welcome to the Hotel Carosello, where hospitality is a family tradition.
The Restaurant:
Reserved and inviting, the Restaurant is the jewel of our offering. We use only the finest ingredients, thanks to an accurate selection of our suppliers. Deserving special notice from within our culinary offering, is the olive oil that we produce from our olive groves in Oliveto Citra (SA) and our selection of fish, purchased fresh daily from local fisherman, directly by Giuseppe Petretti, head of the family and hotel director. The chef, Gerardo Stellaccio, in collaboration with the maitre’d Nicola La Rocca, prepares the menu daily, in order to offer the best traditional dishes of Campania even to the most demanding palates.

We are so happy of our travel at this hotel. The host and the staff are plesant and helpful. They give many informations to Amalfie and the country South Italia, the coast south-west toward Sicilia, informations so useful. The charm of this hotel, the furniture and space, the ratio price/quality is excellent, This hotel is first class for the kindness and the courtesy of the hosts. The meals are delicious, the vine also. The room is very great and comfortable. The air-conditionning is very good too. We want to return there once again. These people are so kind for us. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos hotes et le personnel. Ils étaient toujours au-devant de nos besoins. Ils nous ont donné des informations touristiques précieuses pour les deux journées que nous y avons séjourné. Nous avons visité Amalfie en prenant le bateau du port touristique de Salerno, port qui est seulement à 15-20 minutes de l'hotel. Cet hotel permet facilement l'accès à Salerno sans être incommodé par le bruit qui règne dans cette ville située à proximité. Nous avons été surpris que le site web ne cote pas plus haut cet hotel. La décoration est belle, l'espace intérieur et l'ameublement sont confortables. La chambre est très grande. Les fenêtres et la porte-balcon sont plaisants. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Les repas bien savoureux.

How to reach Hotel Carosello

By car
The Hotel Ristorante Carosello is located in Pontecagnano (Salerno), in via Vespucci 19, on the Strada Statale 18 which connects Pontecagnano to Battipaglia.
From the north, follow the A3 highway from Salerno in the direction of Reggio Calabria. Exit at Pontecagnano, (first exit after Salerno) and follow the signs for Battipaglia for 2.5 km. The hotel, which can be seen from the road, is on the left.
From the South, on the A3 highway take the Battipaglia exit. At the junction, go to the right in the direction of Salerno Pontecagnano. Follow this road for 6 km and the hotel, which can be seen from the road, is on the right.



By train
Shuttle service to/from Pontecagnano and Salerno rail Station.

By airplane
Shuttle service to/from Pontecagnano airport.
From Naples airport, take bus 3S to Naples central rail station and continue by train to Salerno or Pontecagnano. Then contact the hotel for Shuttle service to/from Salerno or Pontecagnano rail station.
