The hotel Estalagem da Ponta do Sol is located on the top of a cliff, in a very spectacular location.
The hotel results from the renovation of a old quinta, and the goal was simply to integrate a particular, comtemporary style with the original buildings and the amazing location.
The architecture enhances the natural beauty of this wonderful place and the atmosphere is simple, relaxed, and yet sophisticated.

Excellent stay in this very lovely hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone except people with physical disabilities, many steps!! Rooms spacious with amazing views. Food very good quality and variety. Staff very attentive without being in your face. Would love to go back soon!

Un très bel hôtel niché sur un nid d'aigle, la vue sur l'océan est splendide. L'ensemble de l'établissement est dans le style "lounge", très belle architecture, piscine superbe, très bonne musique. Seul bémol : la présentation de la cuisine au profit de la qualité, dommage...

The hotel restaurant is strategically positioned and offers a spectacular view of the ocean, the village of Ponta do sol below and the hill opposite filled with bananas plantations.
The lobby`s bar has a fire place and a roof terrace with wicker chairs. There is also a pool snackbar/café with an incomparable panoramic ocean view from the terrace.
The hotel also offers an outdoor swimming pool with outstanding views of the hills and the mountains along the southern coastline of Madeira, as well as a heated indoor swimming pool (above 30 cº), panoramic Jacuzzi, steam bath, a small gym, a billiard, table tennis, games and cardroom, mountain bikes, courtesy shuttle-bus to Funchal and courtesy shuttle-bus to Levada walks.
