Hotel degli Amici - Pompei

Spaciousness of rooms is small!Too noisy around the hotel.

Good services and good place to start visiting the scavi or visiting the sorrounding of Pompei (Sorrent, Naples, Erconalo). Only some 10 Minutes to walk to station Circumvesuviana or entry for Scavi. Good possibilities for parking!

People were very nice and helpful and the bed was comfortable. Overall, this place has seen better days. The shower and bathroom were both closed off by plastic accordian doors. The paint was a bit dingy. However the location was just right - a couple blocks from the ruins - and they let us leave our car there until we were through seeing the ruins.

This place had the feeling of an upmarket backpackers. But the staff were great, there was parking outside the front door and Pompei is a 10 minute walk away. Our room was fine and had the bonus of a terrace at the back of the building. The staff even let us keep our car there the day we checked out so that we could spend a good amount of time wandering around Pompeii ruins and not have to hurry. I would definitely stay again.

I would not stay here again. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The staff leaves at night, they are nice, and you are locked into the hotel premises. I had to catch the 6:07 a.m. train to Napoli and I had to scale the locked fence/gate with my backpack to get out. If you have a heart attack while on the premises at night you're dead meat. You can't get out. It is a good mile from the train station, walk out, take a right, down the hill past the Pomeii site, keep going along the fence, right in the middle of a Y intersection and 2 streets straight ahead. A little noisy at night. I gave the hotel an 8 overall. The no night attendant is unacceptable.

This is a very nice family driven hotel. Although it is next to a main street traffic noise was not a big issue (April, hint: keep the room window closed and open the window in the bath room, this will allow fresh air to come in). The only thing we missed in our 3 person room was to find enough place for clothes etc. but this seems to be a general italian issue.

El hotel esta bien ubicado para movilizarse hacia lugares lejanos, o sea, práctico para desde ahí tomar un tren e ir a Napoles, o para desde ahi ir hacia la Costa Amalfitana. La atencion es un poco fría, a no ser la chica que está en la mañana que es excelente. La habitacion correcta, limpia, pero no impecable y no me gustaron las toallas que usan que son de tela. El desayuno es simple pero bien.

Wir sind sehr schwer eingeschlafen, da die Hauptverkehrsmeile von Pompei direkt an dem Hotel vorbeiführt. Es war trotz der Jalousien etc. sehr laut. Dafür nur einen Steinwurf von den Ruinen von Pompei entfernt.. Das Empfangspersonal war merkwürdig: ein Gast hat sich beschwert, dass das Zimmer nach Rauch riecht, woraufhin eine Dose Raumspray in diesem Zimmer entleert wurde... Frühstück ist ok.

Staff were very, very helpful when I had a problem with transport. Breakfast was OK and the distance from the site was not a problem, seven minutes walking easily. Mr Grumpy turned out to be very accommodating, generous and kind.

A very clean and friendly hotel. Freshly decorated, good breakfast, and safe off road parking. A few minutes walk to the modern town, but right next to the ancient one. I would recommend it.
