Hotel Calypso - Pompei

We found this to be a lovely family run hotel where the owners were very helpful. The room was more than adequate for our needs and very clean, with a daily maid service. The breakfast was pleasant and the hotel was in a very central location. We were also able to walk there from the train station when we arrived. We used it as a base to travel to Vesuvius, Sorrrento and Capri, as well as of course the ruins themselves.

WE STALYED HERE FOR 1 NIGHT IN JUNE. THE HOTEL IS VERY NICE, VERY CLEAN, THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD, THE HOTEL OWNER WAS VERY VERY FRIENDLY. WE WOULD DEFENITELY STAY HERE AGAIN. THE HOTEL HAS A PRIVATE SECURED PARKING LOT IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING BY CAR. IT IS ALSO VERY CLOSE ON FOOT TO THE POMPEI RUINS (ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES WALK TO THE ENTRANCE)

Within 15 min walk of ruins. Good parking frendly staff

If I go back to Pompeii i prefere to stay at Calypso!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Calypso. The owners were helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and parking was easy.

We stayed at the Calypso Hotel in order to visit the Pompei excavations. The location of the hotel was excellent, we could walk everywhere and found this convenient for shops, the excavations, restaurants, town etc. The Hotel is a small hotel, as were most in that area and is very adequate if clients do not require the luxuries of a five star. We had a family room and found it clean, quiet and adequate, (a little larger bathroom would have been nice). The breakfast was continental, as you would expect, was very nice with fruits, juices, croissants, bread rolls, jams etc. tea and coffee and there was more than enough. The staff were excellent, very friendly and most helpful, could not wish for a better welcome or assistance from the propietors who even gave us free tickets to enter the ruins. I would highly recommend staying at the Calypso and would use it again.

The Hotel is very well located, you get very courteous care from their staff and a free parking for your car. The breakfast is fine, fruit, breads, cereals, coffee, tea, juices and water. If you plan to visit the ruins of Pompei, this a great place to stay at a very reasonable rate.

Great overall, nothing fancy but clean and good service. Great value option with good central location.

Bed was very uncomfortable and street noise was loud with the windows open. Breakfast was good. It was nice to have free off-street parking. It was within walking distance to Pompei Ruins.
