The staff was excellent at this hotel. Miriam helped us with our tour guide for Pompei and Ercalano. The parking was good and the breakfast quite complete. Brava, Miriam and staff!

Amleto Hotel is a very recommendable adress for a visit to Pompei. The staff was extremely helpful to me, i received a beautiful double room with terrace as single traveller, the place was quite compared to other city hotels in Italy and the place was centrally located and very near to the entrance to the Pompei ruins.

This hotel is ok. To be honest the modern Pompei is not the nicest of places. I would suggest staying elsewhere if possible! However if you need to stay in Pompei then this hotel is OK, but you should ask for a room high up and on the quieter side of the hotel. Our first night was ruined by lots of traffic noise (engine revving, horns and brake skidding). What is it about Italians driving on scooters and beeping horns??

To visit the excavation site of Pompei this hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk to the entrance! The hotel staff was welcoming, competent and friendly. They did not charge us for several faxes we needed to send back to Canada and they were very accomodating with letting us use their hotel printer to print a few docoments we received in e-mails. The breakfast which was included in the price was fresh, appetizing and there was more than enough for everyone. As a place to stay in order to explore Pompei we can definately recomand this hotel!

Staff was helpful but I would recommend providing two sets of towels for a double occupancy. We asked for another set so we would not have to share and were told we would receive them, but we didn't. Also, we asked for a recommendation for a good, traditional Italian restaurant and were directed to an expensive restaurant that served only very upscale cuisine. I'm sure it was nice, but not at all what we asked the young man at the desk for. We ended up leaving and finding a place on our own. It would be helpful if the directions made it clear that there are 2 train stops in Pompeii and that the one at the ruins is NOT the one that is closer to the hotel. This would have saved us a 15 Euro cab drive. Overall, a good experience with only the minor glitches.

The staff at the hotel were very accomodating. They had a computer for hotel guests near the reception desk which had internet access. The hotel was alittle tricky to find, but it was right in downtown Pompeii and within walking distance to Pompeii.

The congestion surrounding the hotel is understandable since you are close to everything. The hotel desk manager was very helpful handling our car. There is hardly a place to park, but he came out and drove it in the hotel garage for us and took our bags. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and adequate for the price. Convenience to the ruins was great.

Of the 25 hotels that I stayed at on my Italy tour, this was my favorite. The hotel and room had nice decor. Everything was lovely. Very good value. Only blemish was the Internet went out. Fortunately there was an open router available.

I travelled with my teen-age grandson. We were very interested in the excavations, and were pleased that we were only two blocks from the entrance (albeit the back entrance). Also lots of restaurants and shops in the surrounding blocks. A Cafe Latte was prepared for us when we arrived. Great staff.

Great location 15 minute walk to ruins. Lovely hotel and great cappucino, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was noisy streets but their was a festival going on at the time. We would definately return to this hotel.

Very nice hotel, great quality for the price. It was a nice change especially coming after traveling in Rome and Naples. I also agree that staying a night or two in Pompeii is so much more relaxing than doing a day trip from Naples. The restaurant the hotel recommended us "La Madia" was also wonderful.

Our stay in this hotel was very nice and comfortable. It locates close to the historical Pompeii and the center of the modern city. Both of Circumvisuviana railway stations are also not far from the hotel. So, we are satisfied of the Amleto and can recommend it to other visitors.

This is the cleanest, brightest, happiest, freshest-feeling hotel that I have experienced in Italy. A great value. Everything seems so new and the people are so helpful. Hotel Amleto is close to both the Circumvesuviana and the Ferrovia, to the main town square, the Sanctuary, and to one of the main entrances to Pompeii. I was extremely glad I chose to stay here rather than Naples. The train made Herculaneum and Paestum (and Naples itself) quite accessible. The breakfast was so good and bounteous that it often served me for the first two meals of the day. Even if you don't want to see Pompeii, this hotel will delight you. (One bit of advice: the train is much nicer and quieter and almost as close to Amleto as the Circumvesuviana, which is terribly confusing and a long hike from Naples Central Station. But if your train to Pompei leaves from Binario 1 in Naples, you should have someone show you where that is, because it is nowhere near Binario 2 and even some native Italians were thrown into utter confusion and missed their train. The display board claimed the train was leaving from Binario 2, but that was incorrect.) Don't miss the very ornate church in Pompeii, a pilgrimage spot that is continuously active.

We came out of season so it was difficult to comment as the breakfast was a bit stale as we were probably only guests but the people were really friendly and helpful and directions to get to the hotel were brilliant. also i wouldnt regard the room as a junior suite as there was no where to sit and relax
