We loved the fact our room was on the ground floor in a fairly quiet courtyard. The room was quite adequate for our needs and conveniently close to the Pompei excavations. The breakfasts were very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Excellent value as well.

This was a wonderful hotel! My husband & I were there with three children and had no issues. It is small, by American standards, but was clean and offered exactly what we needed. The breakfast was made up of pastries and sweets, but got us by. The staff was very generous and friendly! We had no language issues and they helped us with everything we needed and then some! They are in a beautiful area, right across from one of the entrances to the Pompei excavations and local train station. We would visit them again!

New Pompei is not the most inspiring city in the world and Hotel Pace is tucked away in a non descript street. It is generally clean and tidy and the staff do a reasonable job. The beds offered were not particularly good quality and there was some noise from other guests due to lack of sound proofing. Breakfast ok, good value for money and did the job we needed but not the place to go if looking for luxury or a restful experince.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Although there was a language barrier with some of the staff they were all very nice and it didn't pose an issue at all. The hotel is in a good location nearby the train station, ruins and lots of restaurants. The outside area was nice and breakfast was also very good.

This little 1 star hotel actually beats a lot of 3 star hotels! Besides that, it's perfectly located in the center of Pompei. The hotel personnel is most helpful as well :) and the price is right, for sure. The historic site is a 5-10 minutes walk and really convenient. The breakfast is quite good as well. I would go back to this quiet place without hesitation.

Very pleased with the place. It is a small establishment - but well situated for trips to Pompeii excavations. Gave a good recommendation for a local Pizza and Pasta place. Perhaps the website could give a little more info on how best to get there? There are 3 nearby railway stations - which could cause some confusion. I would/will happily stay again.

If you are looking for a cheap and central location this is the place for you. You can walk to the ancient ruins and to the santuario. We were there with two children, and it was perfect. The pizzeria just outside the hotel ("Alleria") is very good. But...breakfast room is depressing, the public spaces are null. A pice of advice: ignore the Santuario, even if you are a Catholic like me, but do have coffee in the Caffè just in front! and then...do drive to the Costiera Amalfitana if you want to see what Paradise will be like ...not in summer!

This is my second visit to the wonderful Albergo Pace! This time I was travelling with my husband and we stayed for four nights. Since my last visit in February 2009 the hotel has completed the renovations and now boasts a lovely breakfast room, beautifully decorated with original artworks displayed. Breakfast is laid out in buffet style offering a good selection of breakfast items; cereals; pastries, rolls, yoghurt, juices and biscuits. Coffee or tea is served by the staff/owners who are friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and well furnished with the lower rooms laid out in a courtyard style with seating outside each room so you can take advantage of the garden and it's beautiful flowers and lemon trees. It is situated off the road and is very peaceful. At the same time it is close to the town with it's restaurants and bars and only a short walk to the excavations. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I hope to return again and again!

Good location close to station and short walk to ruins, cafes and restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and the good sized family room was clean with good bathroom. Was perfect for our one night stop. The continental breakfast was ok. Felt safe there. Would go back!

A quiet and green oasis in the middle of the city. Only one block from the cathedral and 3 more to the ruins entry. Very welcoming staff.

Good value for money. Very clean and new facilities. One of the receptionists was very helpful, while the one that checked me in was not & also made me lug my suitcase up the stairs to my room. I wanted to leave my suitcase for the day after I checked out and found it was just to be left in the breakfast room in the open, not locked up. I was a bit wary, but left it anyways. I would recommend that the staff had somewhere more secure to keep guests bags. I would also ask that the hotel provide better directions/instructions on how to get to Pompei/Vesuvius, as I found the instruction sheet I was given was out of date. Overall I would recommend staying as the room was very clean/comfortable, and very close to the train station and Pompei excavation sites by bus.

From the very start we were welcomed by excellent friendly staff. For any information they were always ready to help. The room was very spacious and very clean with all the facilities we needed. The location was quite central so that we could get to wherever we wanted in Pompei. However it is not the ideal area to be in if wanting to travel to Amalfi and back, as there is a lot of waiting around for the trains. All in all I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to visit the archeaological site of Pompei as it is well worth seeing!!!

My friend and I needed a place to stay that was close to the train station, close to the ruins of Pompei, and safe/clean. We were able to find all of this at Albergo Pace. The breakfast is a minimalist breakfast, but we weren't there for the food. The room was clean, the shower heavenly, and the location was prime! When I return to the area with my husband next year, we will definitely stay there!

Very good value. The girls at the desk greeted us by name on arrival and did their best to help us with all our questions. Recommended a local restaurant that was also great value and very good food. Very hand to central square and train stations.

Room was large and clean. Service fine although breakfast was large cups of very sugary white coffee! Hotel is in good location - near to Pompeii entrance but far enough away to be quiet. Had to walk through a bit of a building site to get to the hotel entrance but I imagine this will be finished very soon. Good value for price.

Fantastic little spot. Rooms are all newly renovated to very high standard. Part of the property is under renovation/construction for new rooms. Owner took us for a tour to see the works being completed (some difficulty as his english is not strong but overall communication was still easy enough). There will be a breakfast room and outdoor/rooftop area which looks very nice. Breakfast was served in our room - croissants, bread, biscuits, apricot nectar & coffee. Very nice. Would recommend to anyone. Very good value for money. We chose to stay here rather than Naples, a decision I am glad we made!!

After visiting the hotel, I now understand a previous review that said don't be put off by the entrance. But it also means that the hotel is away from the street and so very quiet. Breakfast in our room was a luxury so the lack of public rooms was not a disadvantage. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom well appointed and the breakfast excellent. The staff were very helpful.

The internal part (environment) of the hotel is excellent, as it's excellent the the insde accomodation (room). The management of the hotel is very gentle and nice. The problem in this moment is only related to the external side, because there are some working activities that are not completed yet. Let me say that if you don't care at the external image and the more important aspect is your accomodation (reception and comfort of the room), this hotel is more than ok.

Brilliant. Really clean room and en suite, nice and quiet, really helpful and friendly staff. Ok, it was very small and the air con wasn't strong enough, but my priority was cleanliness and a comfortable night sleep, and they didn't disappoint. In fact, we were all extremely happy with our stay, and it was truly excellent value for money. If I went to Pompeii again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. An example to all hotels.

This is a very nice B & B, the rooms are cleaned, nice, comfortable and very quiet. We really enjoy our stay. The place is very good situated, 5 min from center, with restaurants, caffes and shops. 10 min by feet from Pompei (excavations). A place to recomand.
