Barthotel - Poitiers

The staff put us in an annex to the hotel. The room smelled bad and did not seem very clean.

Very friendly couple runing this hotel which was quiet, clean, comfortable and homely. Breakfast was offered. Good parking facilities on site and the hotel was easy to find. There are fast food chains nearby, but no shops or places of entertainment.

Very nice small hotel. It fitted my expectation for the price offered.

We requested for a quiet room and ended up in a little "hut" off the main building. The room was very small and dark. It was not very clean. A little warm during the day, too. No wifi but can rent a plug-in modem (1 Euro per day). The location is pretty close to the old town, about 10 minutes' drive. Not very easy to find the hotel with the map given - remember to look for a skating ring! It is just right next to it. The hotel owners Christine and Daniel are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is a renovated older property located on a fairly busy road. We had a tripple room at the front of the hotel. The room was quiet with closed windows due to the double glazing. There is a Geant department store and a mall about 400 metres down the road and 100 metres up a cross road, else there is not much in the area to look at. The breakfast was good (don't remember the cost), in general the hotel was good value for the money.

C'était la première fois. J'étais contente de trouver facilement par internet un hôtel proche du CHU de Poitiers, une ville que je ne connaissais pas du tout. J'étais agréablement surprise par la chambre, surtout du point de vue rapport qualité/prix. Je n'ai pas apprécié le café noir, même s'il a été très bien servi.

Very nice family hotel! Quiet and very cleen.Prices are quite reasonable. The ownners, Cristine and Dany, are wonerful and most supportive! I'll definitly use their services again!!!

My wife and I were placed in a small outside annex which was entirely unsuitable. It was rundown, had linoleum on the floor and it was not possible to leave a window open securely during the night. We decided not to stay at this hotel and went to the IBIS instead, at only 3 Euros more.

Very nice room, old-fashioned, pink and spacious. The two landlords are obliging and lovely.

I was with my teenage daughter and because she is a keen ice skater and fan of European Champion Brian Joubert, who trains in Poitiers, she wanted to skate on the Poitiers rink. For that reason the Barthotel was ideal because it is just a few minutes'walk from the ice rink. Christine and Daniel were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and very well run. We had breakfast and a couple of evening meals. Lovely croissants!
