This is basically a businessperson's hotel. It was close to the airport and that's what we were looking for. Rooms were very nice and food was good as well.

Great hotel!Fantastic employees, welcoming and very professional. Good help with bustickets, maps and timetables. Good location for a family with young children, pool and easy to get to the bus. Nice restaurants in the surroundings and at the hotel. I recommend this hotel to all my friends going to Firenze.

Found this hotel last minute on Venere - we needed something close to Florecnce, but with parking for our car. It was a bit hard to find, but we were driving in the dark. Excellent hotel. Good bed (my bad back requires a firm bed, and this one was perfect for me), excellent breakfast, quiet rooms, good shower. Would come back here again.

Great hotel in quiet surroundings,i stayed here 3 nights, breakfast very good, different pastries all 3 mornings i was here,if you like a quiet stay after visiting Florence this is the hotel for you,20 minutes away from Florence by bus, which runs at every 1/2hour,bus station walking distance from hotel, staff very helpfull with directions, bought bus tickets at desk,if you are driving in Toscany and plan to see Pisa or Florence, this is the hotel for you, either for Business or pleasure, there are a few good bars for coffee and pastries down in the town of Poggio,i found 2 good restaurants in Poggio,on the road that leads to the VILLA MEDICEA,one its called IL FALCONE,great food, try the Florentine steak, and the other its up the road allmost by the villa, its called DA I PERUZZI, i was passing by saw the owner, cutting the prosciutto and cheese,we went in and he provided us with a full dish of prosciutto and 4 different cheeses, the waitress, said to try the Carmignano wine, which is a town near Poggio, great selection i reccomend this wine, try it buy it and bring it home, over all my stay at the Hermitage it was a very good experience, thank you ,,,Pellegrino.

The hotel staff were great and very helpful in planning our day trips from the hotel and arranging our dinner reservations. One young clerk was less than warm, however competent. Driving to & from the town is a bit confusing. The bus service to Florence works great and ended up costing our family of four less than the cost of parking our rental car in Florence! Great restaurants in the area. The Il Vecchio Casale Pizzeria is only a short drive from the hotel and is much more the what the term Pizzeria indicates. The food, service & view was great!

Exceptional hotel--exceptionally clean; very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and professional staff. Our junior suite was extremely spacious for our family of four and pet. by far one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, anywhere in Europe! Breakfast buffet was more than sufficient, and use of the local bus system makes getting around very easy.

The Hermitage is a very nice property. We did have some problems following the directions the hotel gave, but finally found our way (we drove from Bologna). It is in a residential area and VERY quiet. Our room was quite nice with a very large balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful, plus there is a computer guests can use. We did not have a meal in the restaurant except for the breakfast provided by the hotel which was acceptable. We found the Hermitage to be exactly what we needed after a long journey...very comfortable, quiet, and accomodating.

Neat, large rooms with clean bathrooms. Average breakfast. Manager decided to turn air conditioning off though the temperatures were still in the 70's. Despite its remote location, quite a bit of traffic noise occurred.

If you found the hotel you have here a good starting point for visiting florenz , pisa , lucca.. . The staff is very friendly and the rooms are ok. Only a terrasse (restaurant) is not available. It was a good stay and we can recommend this for short stays.

Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. However, our criteria for selecting this hotel included the fact that it had a restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately we arrived much later than expected due to bad accidents on the road and were told that the restaurant was always closed on Friday evenings. We were not too pleased to have to get back in the car after a 9 hour drive to find somewhere to eat. This should be mentioned in the details. Otherwise staff, rooms and swimming pool excellent.

Because of a late flight we needed a hotel for one night near Firenze. Hermitage proved to be an excellent choice! Located close to the airport it had a convenient location yet almost a country feel to it. The hotel is nicely decorated, with very clean rooms and good breakfast - probably an excellent breakfast for Italy ;-). I thought it was nice to be the only non-italian guest, don't like tourist traps. Next morning we went to visit the Medici Villa in town which was excellent as well - no other tourists!!! We could wander around the villa with no queues of other people in the way. What a find. I recommend you visit the Villa when staying at Hermitage!

An excellent place for travellers to stay on their first night after arriving at Florence's airport, and who immediately rent a car. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent - especially the beef sauteed with porcini mushrooms and arugula, and the local Carmignano wine that can rarely be purchased in the United States. The location of the hotel was very close to the Medici villa at Poggio ai Caiano - a must-see for art historians, but rarely visited by the general tourist.

Good hotel set in residential area, let down we felt by the television constantly on in reception, but more annoyingly left on each night in restaurant during dinner.
