Hotel Hispania - Playa de Palma

Great hotel, overpassed our expectations. Personnel was VERY client oriented and front desk reception was excellent. Very good breakfast and dinner, beyond what we expected.

Das Hotel liegt nur von der Strandpromenade getrennt am Strand der Playa de Palma. Das Hotel wurde im Eingangsbereich erfolgreich renoviert. W-Lan ist auf Wunsch dort verfügbar. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und wie ortsüblich nur mäßig geräuschisoliert. Fernseher und Safe waren vorhanden. An der Rezeption sprach man auch gut deutsch. Die Küche war wirklich sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Der Pool ist nicht warm. Aber wenn man das Meer vor der Tür hat... Direkt vor und hinter dem Hotel ist eine Bushaltestelle. Ab Mai 09 fahren die Busse auch zum Flughafen. Für Radfahrer gibt es eine Garage mit Reinigungsmöglichkeit. In der Vor-und Nachsaison gibt es gute Angebote mit Halbpension (45€. Ich bin jetzt schon das 3. mal dort gewesen und war nur einmal vom Zimmer enttäuscht, das zum Innenhof gelegen war. Dort hatte man nur Aussicht auf lärmende Klimageräte und die Küche. Für entsprechende Zuzahlung kann man auch ein Zimmer nach vorne mit Meerblick bekommen. Wenn das Zimmer gut ist, kann ich das Hotel sehr empfehlen. Es liegt nicht zu weit von Palma und dem Flughafen entfernt. Man muss nicht stundenlang über die Insel fahren, um zu dem Hotel zu kommen.

It is difficult for tourists to find the property because the map on the website is unclear! You are advised to take taxi from the airport directly without hesitation! The room rate includes dinner and breakfast. If possible, check in early so that you can enjoy the great buffet dinner! The hotel is very near the long beach. It is the best place for holiday with the sea and sunshine!

Great location!! room was spacious, beachfront, hotel staff was friendly, huge variety of food at breakfast and dinner, great value for the money.

The service for Bar and pool was almost none exitant. Finding a memeber of staff to get served at the bar was very problematic. Most of the time the only memeber of staff to be found would be on the main desk. Food was very good, although the main eating area had areas that have been neglected when cleaning. The lamp shades, the overhead hanging lights over the food and the ridges on the cuboards where displaying a very dence layer of dirt and dust.

Staff were very friendly and hospitable. I arrived late so missed dinner, but there was a welcome plate of food waiting in my room. Rooms were a decent size with air conditioning, a safe (though mine didn't work), and a balcony (mine overlooked the pool). Bathroom was clean and decent, small shower but more than adequate. My only complaint was the pillows were very uncomfortable. The hotel is quite good value as breakfast and dinner is included in the price. The breakfast was a lavish spread of hot food (eggs, bacon, pancakes etc.) and cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese, pastries, juice, coffee, something for all tastes. The buffet dinner is simple, but there is a lot to choose from. Great location. Beach is just a short walk (1 min) across the road. Bus to Palma (about 40 mins) is right outside the hotel. Lots of tourist shops, restaurants and bars, and lots of Germans!

We actually stayed at Hispania's sister hotel - Hotel Aya at the same price and delivery. Overall experience was very good, very good service quality for a 3 star hotel. Excellent location...right at the beachfront. No major noise problem except for late night German and Italian football fans celebrating World Cup victories. The hotel is in the heart of Platja de Palma. So expect the vibrancy!!
