Xaloc Hotel - Platja d'Aro

We have a fantastic rest-time in this hotel. Hotel surroundings are amazing!So beautiful landscapes I haven't seen nowhere else. The brekfast was included in price and was very good, at your choice sausages, cheese, fruits, eggs, omelet, vegetables etc. Rooms are cleaned every day! We was at this hotel first time, but if we will go to Costa Brava again, we certainly will choose this hotel and will recommend to other!

The hotel is right by the beach. Our room had a sea view and in my opinion the hotel has an excellent location. Caring and attentive staff. A problem with the rented fridge was quickly put right with many aplogies. There were two small issues - a silly rule not allowing breakfast/coffee on the terrace. This overlooked the sea and would have added great value to the breakfast experience. We opted for HB and the food, especially in the evening, provided little choice. Whilst we never went hugry there were times when it was difficult to find anything suitable to eat. I think the budget should be increased to resolve this issue. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Very enjoyable stay at the Xaloc. Location right next to the sea can't be faulted. Facilities for children are limited to a small pool, which our son enjoyed, but not much more. The staff were very helpful and were patient with our stumbling attempts at Spanish! We had a balcony overlooking the sea which felt very luxurious for the small cost we paid. Broad choice of breakfast meals, but the grilled breakfast stuff (especially the eggs) were always left to dry out. All in all, I would return to the Xaloc for it's location, price and friendly service.

I would recommend this hotel, it is very clean, in an ideal location to explore other parts of the Costa Brava, the staff were very friendly and the facilities were good.
