Hotel Argo - Platis Gialos

We are a family of four and stayed at Hotel Argo in July 11. The room was comfortable and very clean. the service was great and staff were helpful and courteous. Would stay here again. Highly recommend

Staff was very helpful -- even secured a refund from a ferry ticket that I was unable to obtain at the booking office. Staff was friendly, room was clean and location was perfect.

We definitely enjoyed our stay the Argo Hotel...the hotel met or exceeded our expectations in terms of location(away from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos town, but very convenient to catch the bus or ferry, with Platis Gialos beach two min. away)had a plentiful breakfast buffet and the pool area is very clean and picturesque. The staff went above and beyond helping us with all our questions and made suggestions. Our 18 year old daughter and her friend enjoyed the three FREE computers in the lobby. We saw visitors of all ages at this hotel. The only suggestion we would make to future guests, is to inquire about room size...our room was much larger than our daughter's.

The best hotel we ever stayed during our 3 week vacation in europe. Free pick up service at the port, nice welcome tea, good breakfast with bacon and omlette. Very practical and clean bathroom. Very helpful staff indeed. we are so glad to have found argo, definitely highly recommend this

The service of the hotel is very nice. They picked up us from the port when we arrived, and also sent us to the port when we left. The welcome drink really made us very happy. The breakfast is good. There are two things that I want to complain. One bad thing is that the sink in our bath room is blocked somehow, so the water is not easy to go away. The second thing is there is no window for our room.

We had a really lovely time at The Argo. From the moment my daughter and I arrived we felt at home. Hats off to the management and staff. For the price/locality you couldn't get better. My sister stayed up the road at a luxurious hotel and I felt that we got just as lovely an experience - without the bill! The beach is just down the road, fabulous restaurants as well, and the view is pretty good too.

Bonjour, Nous avons sejpurné a l'hotel Argo du 29/05/2009 au 08/06/2009. Ce séjour fut un vrai plaisir tant par la qualité de ce petit hotel qui offre des chambres toute vue sur la piscine et la mer au second plan, spacieuses, propres, décorées (jolis rideaux et reproduction), avec une tres bonne literie et un équipement correct (Frigo, TV LCD, Coffre fort, Balcon avec vue). Je conseil de prendre une chambre au 2eme et dernier étage pour encore plus profiter du balcon. Le service offert par le personnel est impeccable et d'une gentillesse exemplaire. Nous etions les seuls francais de l'hotel mais le responsable un homme charmant essayait de nous parler quelques mot en francais et avait un petit mot pour chacun des pensionnaire de son hotel le matin. Le petit dejeuner sur la terrasse au bord de la piscine (tres agréable avec un mobilier tres sympa) est copieux et la encore le personnel est d'une gentillesse remarquable. L'arret de bus à la sortie de l'hotel vous emmene à Mykonos en 8 minutes et Platys Gialos offre de nombreux restaurant (je vous conseille NYKOS) pour ceux qui veulent rester sur place. Le minibus de l'Hotel vient vous chercher a l'aéroport et vous reconduit a la fin de vote sejour gratuitement: Tout est fait en sorte pour que nous passions un agréable séjour

Excelente relacion precio/calidad. Muy buena predisposicion de la gente del hotel para ayudar en lo que se les pida. A 50 mts del mar y a un bus del centro. Volveria sin dudarlo. Habitacion muy amplia, comoda, nueva y limpia. Para recomendar. Juan de Argentina.

My husband and I stayed at the Argo Hotel in Platis Gialos, Mykonos for 4 days in September with our 1 year old baby and my 71 year old mother. We had a really lovely stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and the owner was very welcoming and helpful with local advice. The hotel has a really gorgeous swimming pool and is only 3 minutes walk to the family beach with restaurants and minimarket. The hotel is also right beside the bus stop into Mykonos town and the bus ride takes about 15-20 minutes and only costs €1.40 one way. The Argo hotel is excellent value for money and looks much better in reality than the photos on the website. The breakfast is also lovely by the pool in the mornings. I would definitely recommend. Oh yes one other thing which we only found out by accident when we got off the ferry is that Hotel Argo offers a free shuttle bus service to and from the ferry which is great when you get off the ferry and there's someone waiting there for you!

The Argo hotel was a very nice hotel in Mykonos. It is located in Platis Yialos and right in front of the bus stop which definitely helped when going around the island. The bus is seriously on time everyday. They had a free shuttle that picked us up from the port and dropped us off. Very key since most places charge you a lot to get there. We rented an ATV from a place across the street and rode through the island one day so the place is very very convenient. The Platis Yialos beach is also very near and is a good relaxing beach to hang out at if you don't want to hear loud music that day. They also have a breakfast that is included that I got tired of when we stayed there for 4 days but missed it after I left. It was the same everyday which bread and eggs and ham and other things but the juice was free and so were the coffee drinks like the frappe. The pool was nice and was a nice break during the days where we wanted a break from the salty water. The rooms were nice but not great. The shower was a little small and the water always got outside of it and made the floors wet. The décor was old but that was not the reason we stayed at the hotel. I traveled with my wife for our honeymoon and while it wasn’t the greatest hotel we stayed at, it was good enough for our stay in Mykonos. Overall a very good hotel to stay in.

Thanathes the Manger of the hotel was very wellcoming person and very helpful. He made our stay in his hotel and Mykonos very pleasent. the staff are very helpful. you feel like home during our stay in the hotel.

We had a great stay and we will definitely come back to Argo and Mykonos !!

I really enjoyed my stay at Argo. The staff/concierge were great. Very friendly, quiet, clean hotel and very reasonable rates. It is out of the main town which is nice for being quiet. Friends stayed in the city and it stayed loud late into the night. Breakfast was more than satisfactory. The pool and reception area were beautiful.

A nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, good breakfast and services. Platis Gialos however only has one beach which is "organised", i.e. you pay 10 to 12 euros for a parasol and sun lounger. Otherwise, there isn't really any space to put down a beach towel and tan or swim. Also, the beach is not really clean and is covered in cigarette butts. If you're going for the party scene in Mykonos, this hotel is a good option.

This is a very beatuful hotel in Mykonos. They give you all that you could expect. The views are like a photograph and the staff very friendly. YOU MUST GO THERE!!!!!

This was our first time stay with Hotel Argo. We traveled with a group of 8 girls and we absolutely loved everything about the hotel. The staff treated us like family and accomodated to all our needs (and we had a lot of them!) We ran into some travel dilemmas and they helped us sort things out by calling all our hotels and booking our ferries. The location of the hotel was great...a few minutes walk to the beach, across the street from the main bus station, a boat ride away to Paradise beach, and the best breakfast we've had. We had such a great stay we didn't want to leave. We defintely would stay there again the next time we are in Mykonos.

Good location, just down the road from the beach and close to the bus stop to go into town. The best part was the hotel owners. They were helpful, attentive and friendly.

Hotel Argo was a pleasant and welcoming hotel. Very quaint, clean rooms, and nice breakfast, and walking distance to the beach - less than a block! Thanassis and Stavroula were so pleasant, and they were very hospitable and helpful! I look forward to going back

Hotel Argo was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly. Someone told me they were thinking of staying in another hotel, and I actualy felt offended. Its owned by a family of very very very nice people..we fell in love with it and can't wait to come back..it felt like home.

My new wife and I loved staying here so much that we have made note of the room we stayed in so that we can come back one day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all our questions. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone especially those on their honeymoon. The atmosphere with the sunset and the view are just spectacular.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Right by the beach and the kiaques which take you to the other beaches (Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, Elia). The staff went out of their way to help us make alternate travel plans when the seajets to other islands were cancelled due to rough waters. The staff is extremely helpful and very accommodating their guests.
