despite an excellent and friendly welcoming the public areas are poor as well as the staircase we could'nt open the window in our room- and the smell in the bathroom was very bad the day before we got a 4 stars hotel at the same price in PERUGIA ????????

The proprietor is memorable. If you found one like this in every city, you would have a dream trip. Very helpful, great info, it is his only purpose to have a delighted guest. Location is excellent in old city, a bit of a challenge to get in small streets with one way - we ended up at the apple table in the village market - had to reverse out. The rooms themselves are a bit old and well worn but who cares.

Bonne situation, a 800m de la gare des trains soit environ 10 mn à pied. On peut laisser sa voiture en parking gratuit en bas de l'hotel grace à un pass donné par l'établissement (qui est en zone historique de la ville). Bon petit déjeuner et personnel accueuillant. Chambre familiale pour 4 personnes spacieuse (room number 3). Outre la ville de PISTOIA, liaison par train direct possible pour FLORENCE-LUCCA-PISE. Attention aux chambres en étage sans ascenseur.

We found Hotel Firenze very nice and excellent location, near to the central old part of Pistoia. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and larger than we expected. We can recommend this hotel to others.

Straight up from the train station, through a shopping area and into a pedestrian only section, the Frienze Hotel was in a great location. Hotel helpful with ticket procedures to Florence. Leaving the car (free) was the best thing we ever did. Rooms comfortable but a little noisy at night. We had to get used to the late hours Italians keep! Pistoia a great town with charming folks who speak English fairly well. Will recommed hotel to family and friends!

Hotel was very basic and not newly renovated as stated in web pages. Showers in particular were very poor. However, rooms were relatively clean and the bed was clean and comfortable.

Walter is most congenial and speaks English (and other languauges) extremely well. Such a friendly innkeeper one cannot find too easily. Excellent location in the heart of the old city (a bit of a walk from the train station and on street market day, a larger bag can present a problem ) Warm croissants! That's a nice plus!

Séjour juillet 2006. Bon hôtel pour un 2 étoiles et bien situé au centre de Pistoia. Prix raisonnables pour un hôtel situé en centre ville. Personnel sympathique et compétent. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Hotel is central and easy to find, staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Walter. Air conditioning is an added bonus.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Camere silenziose e climatizzate. Colazione abbondante. Difficile trovare di meglio in Toscana in questa categoria di alberghi. Ottima soluzione per gruppi familiari. Ci ritornerò. Consigliato.

Très bonne situation, mais l'hôtel, à 50 m du duomo, est très difficile à trouver, parce qu'il est situé dans une rue très étroite, et mal indiqué à cause des sens uniques et sens interdits. L'accueil n'a pas été sensationnel. Est ce dû au tarif réduit? aux 4 étoiles ? Par contre, petit déjeuner très copieux. Tout le monde y trouve son bonheur. Chambre et salle de bains très spacieuses, très propres, mais ne sont pas celles figurant sur le site. Il y a deux types de clientèle.

Hotel was comfortable and well placed, only minutes from the duomo and the main restaurants and bars. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was poor but there’s a terrific coffee/cake shop next door (perhaps they gave up trying to compete) Walkable distance from the station. Very good value for money.

Excellent hôtel. Situé dans une petite ville méconnue qui recèle des trésors d'architecture dans l'ombre de Florence. Très bon point de départ pour visiter la Toscane. L'hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre historique. La circulation étant limitée aux résidents et clients, il n'est pas compliqué de se garer. Accueil irréprochable et sympatico.

Schöner Zwischenstopp in der Toskana. Das Hotel befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt, so dass man zu Fuß alles erreichen kann. Zimmer und Bad waren neu renoviert, es konnte eine neue Klimaanlage angeschaltet werden. Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück war einfach.

Good hotel in excellent location. Parking provided (very important), English spoken, good tourist advice given, friendly staff, town map provided (very important), train times provided.

The Firenze is located within the walls of Pistoia within walking distance of all the sites of interest in the city. Five minutes walk from the hotel there are numerous shops, bars, restaraunts of all description and price. The hotel room was reasonably big and was restocked with clean linen and towels everyday. The room was airconditioned and also had a television. The hotel does not have a car park as it is located within the walls of Pistoia. However the hotel provides parking passes to allow you park a car (these have to be replaced at the start of every day of your stay). The only major gripe I would have is the breakfast is a continental one, and is a bit limited for a northern european (croissants and coffee). It could do with including cereal, cold meats, yoghurts in the menu. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable especially considering Pistoia is a 40 minutes on the train from Florence and as it does not get the same numbers of tourists it is a nice place to return to at the end of the day.
