Our air conditioning unit didn't work very well - it seemed to start working better in the middle of the night. Apart from that for a 1-night stay in pisa with quick access to the airport (5 mins in taxi) this hotel is perfect. It's a long walk to the Leaning Tower etc (about 30 mins) but we were well aware of that when booking.

One night stay pre 7am departure by Ryanair 14th August. Called in 10 days before on arrival to check room allocated. Day staff (2) very busy and showed it. We were probably unreasonable considering staying only one night. However, they did what we asked and room was fine. On day, left bags in and returned just before midnight. Staff member on duty was professional and polite. Also, busy but a nice man. Rose at 4:30am. God help neighbouring rooms as toilet flush was very noisy But we tried to be quiet. Nice man booked taxi which he said would cost Eur10. Taxi arrived in the 6 mins stated. ONE small but sour point! Airport is 1.5 kms from hotel. Hotel must make many bookings weekly for this journey and would certainly state and know charge. Our taxi man charged us Eur12 A pity, after the hotel provided a generally positive experience, the taxi company left us feeling scammed by going the more scenic route. Terminus And Plaza Hotel! If this is the case, sort out the Taxi Company you use.

Excellent value, very good location for proximity to the station. An extremely clean, simple hotel, with a good range at the breakfast buffet. Unless you ask for fresh coffee/capuccino, etc., however, you'll end up with machine coffee.

The hotel wasn't in the best area however it was close to the main railway station and therefore very convenient. We actually arrived in Pisa one day earlier than our booking and the hotel was able to accommodate us without any problem for the extra night. We have no complaints to make as our stay went without a hitch and would be happy to recommend it in future.

Just a few short blocks from the Centrale train station. We booked double rooms but got very spacious triples. Very small bathroom in comparison with the room size - a large person might have difficulty using the shower. No street noise with closed windows. Room was too clean - the smell from cleaning fluids was so overwhelming, we had to leave all the windows open to clear it. Hotel gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation for celiacs - La Scaletta. One negative - they booked us much too early for the taxi to the airport (4:45 am) which is approximately only 10-15 minutes away at that hour. We ended up standing around for 45 minutes before the Air France check-in booth opened, which meant we had 45 minutes less sleep. Still, we were pleased with our choice.

We used a double room oriented to the street. The building is old but the conservation state is good. The room was spacious, espcially compared with what is standard in Italy. The queen size bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and full of light. The shower worked perfectly and with good water preasure and temperature all times. I recommend this hotel strongly for a short visit to Pisa. It is very well connected to the historical sites by bus. Bus stop in nearby train station.

The hotel was clean and neatly presented, but very much stuck some time in the 1980's in terms of decor, The area as one might expect being so close to the train station was not the most salubrious, It was however only a 20 minute walk to the leaning tower and about ten minutes to the centre of the city but it would appear so are most of the hotels in Pisa.

Nice room (one double, two single beds --> have been four adults). Air con in the room, bathroom enough space. Receptionist very welcoming and helpful. Unfortuantely there is no free parking outside and no hotel owned garage. So you have to pay until 8pm. From 8pm to 7 or 8am it is free. Good restaurants nearby. The breakfast has a good choice. We stayed only one night at Terminus & Plaza after late arrival, so it offered good value for money and the location to the train station was perfect for our early start the next morning. The surrounding area offered a few tavernas for a decent meal at nearly 10pm but there didn't seem much else around. We walked easily to the leaning tower in about 20min (to walk off our late pasta dinner) and felt quite safe. The rooms were clean and comfy but a little noisy from people moving about the hall. **Beware the cafe on the left, one block north from the front of the train station main entrance, (at a small roundabout). Nearly €3 for a croissant and €5 per cappucino was not the ideal start to our morning and certainly the most expensive coffee in Italy!**

The hotel is good but the room was too small, we could not drag the suitcase from the door to the opposite wall, we had to put it on the bed first to be able to pass the bed. The brackfast was not included in the price, but for the same price we had the breakfast included in all other hotels were we stayed during our trip. The hotel is very conveniently located in close proximity to the train station and it has the elevator. Walking distance to the city center. I would recomment to stay in this hotel.

It is an excellent hotel for transiting trough Pisa. It is close to station and to bus lines to the airport and other parts of Pisa. The city centre with monuments shops and restaurants is a short walk. The area is quiet at night despite the fact that is next to the station with some shops and cafes. The hotel's rooms are simple but clean. Our quadruple bed room was large with proper, comfortable beds. There is double glazing and air conditioning. The receptionist are professional and helpful. I was travelling with my friends and booked 1 triple room, and 1 double. The surroundng area is pretty poor, as it is our 1st time there. The area is run down, packed with a lot of homeless people. We just didn't feel safe living there. The room is ok but the toilet is small and a little smelly. But hey, is a budget hotel so.... The reason we chose there, is the convenience to the airport in Pisa by ryanair. Only 5 mins on train to the airport. The staff in the hotel was ok with me as i was a girl but with my male friend, the staff was pretty rude to him. He was saying something in italien which sounds a bit like insults, whenever he asked him something. Well, i don't think i would recommend this hotel o couples or family. The main plus point of this hotel was its close proximity to the main Pisa Centrale rail station, which is a matter of about 250m away. The main downside is that the surrounding area is run-down and poorly lit, making it less than welcoming at night. Pisa's centre is relatively small, so this hotel is ideal if spending a single day's sightseeing with an overnight stay before moving on elsewhere, as it is within a short bus or taxi ride to the main sights. For a longer stay a more centrally-placed hotel may suit better, as the Arno is about 10-15 mins walk and the Campo dei Miracoli more like 30-40 mins minimum. The receptionist was very helpful (and witty to boot), and the breakfast was the broadest & best range we had in 3 different hotels in our visit to Tuscany, served on a long buffet table in a bright, airy dining room, probably the best feature of our stay - the bedroom was slightly smaller than expected, although the bathroom was a reasonable size, and both were clean & adequately equipped, although the mini-bar fridge was noisy and our 'view' was of a limited light-well down the centre of the building. I would consider using this hotel again, but only as a stopover rather than for a longer stay. I would also mention that the front entrance has steep steps that may be a challenge for disabled or elderly visitors, although the hotel may have an alternative entrance that we did not see at the time we arrived in the evening.

We chose this hotel as our flight arrived late and we were travelling on by train the next day. We arrived late at night & after a short taxi ride (8 euro) we arrived at the hotel. Check in was swift & the gentleman at reception was helpful at directing us to find something to eat at such a late hour. Room was somewhat dated but clean with a very comfortable bed. Lots of variety for breakfast but mostly sweet things which we are not used to. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we spent the morning looking around Pisa, before moving on. Hotel is a 5 min walk from the main train station. A 10 min walk to main shopping street and a further 10 - 15 mins to the leaning tower.

THe hotel was a good bargain for the price and was clean and relatively quiet. The central location (very near the train station) was convenient for my purposes, because I was using the hotel as a pied a terre to visit other towns and was not touring Pisa though there are buses for the tower not far from there. It is not a glamorous part of town, but train stations never are. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and was included in the price of the room. THere was a refrigerator in the room which is always a plus in summer. The bathrooms were lovely. I had no complaints about the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. And I have stayed in other hotels in Pisa and they are not this nice nor is the staff this nice. And they let me use the htoel in the lobby for free which I appreciate. And the prices are higher for no reason in the other hotels.

The Hotel was superb. Less than 5 mins walk from the train station. First impressions were surprise at the quality for the price (Pleasantly surprised) The walk to the Duomo & Tower was around 30 mins easy stroll. I managed it in little under 20 mins on the afternoon of arrival. We would suggest walking more towards the centre to eat as the area around the hotel left a lot to be desired. We had a wonderful evening meal within the vicinity of the Duomo. And a very disappointing one near the hotel. We stayed overnight on a stopover as our plane arrived in Pisa. It was convenient to the airport and there was no problem with a late check-in. The family room was as described, very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of food and even a small offering of gluten- free food which was clearly labelled. The fridge in the room was a bit noisy. Also, pay attention when using drinks from the fridge. We used one bottle of water, and the day after the room service checked it twice (without replacing the missing one) and again the following day it was checked still as missing (without replacing). So we were charged 3 bottles instead of 1. Luckily the employee at the reception after having already completed the transaction and discussing the event let us go with 2 bottles of water.

The hotel has potential, but it needs a much better housekeeping. Rooms need to be cleaned from top to bottom, from time to time! A little bit of ordinary maintenance is also needed.

As someone needing a hotel for the night before an early flight this hotel was ideal - less than 5 mins walk from the train station, and €10 for a taxi at 5am to the airport.

This is a good value for the money spent. The staff found an extra room for our party with no advance notice. The rooms were large and clean. The great included breakfast was a welcome surprise. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Pisa.

Welcoming staff, clean rooms, very convenient to the railway station but not noisy or rough. An excellent choice for a quick overnight in Pisa, but also ok for a few days (though not very close to the Duomo). Recommended if you're passing through and you'd like some place near the station.

We have stayed in this hotel some 3 times as it's near to the railway station and bus to the airport- we are either flying into Italy or leaving). Its an easy walk to the Duomo and the Leaning Tower and the main shopping centre (about a kilometre or so). We will be staying here again in 2009.

The Terminus & Plaza was a very good value stay for a triple room with a decent breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly - they usually are if you try a few words of the local language. Location is excellent for ease of access to trains, and local buses to the city and airport and some excellent restaurants. However, the streets around the hotel are not the most attractive and some people may find them a bit rundown.

The Hotel Terminus & Plaza was within a short walking distance of the railway station, so was excellent for links to Lucca, Florence and Pisa Airport. The town centre and the Duomo was a pleasant but longish walk away. The hotel is not particularly characterful but convenient and good value for money.

The hotel was pretty decent and clean although not quite 50 metres from the train station; More like 200 metres. However, compared to some other hotels the price was a bit steep but we chose it due to proximity to train station in Pisa.

A very good value hotel in a central location for the railway station for touring outside Pisa yet close enough to walk "up" into the main areas of Pisa. Only small comment was the fact that our window wasn't strong enough to cope with the noise of the air conditioners outside. Talking of noise, why is it that other residents don't know how to keep quiet in the early hours of the morning?

Overall this hotel was fine for a short stop between destinations. It is very convenient for the train station and airport and easy to walk into the town centre. I would choose somewhere different for a longer stay in Pisa.

We used it as a convenient location for a one night stop to catch an early flight and it was great for that. For a longer stay was not keen on the location although the hotel seemed nice.

Hotel Terminus & Plaza was very good for our purpose. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The situation very near railway station was good and also the bus stop to the airport was easy to find and use and very close to the hotel. Also the main sights of the town were easily to reach by walking. The rooms were silent (no traffic noise). Breakfast was also good, only cold cuts were missing. The staff was very polite and helpful and had good knowledge in English. If I try to find something negative, it was the fitted carpet in the room. I can really recommend Hotel Terminus & Plaza for your stay in Pisa!!

Very close to train station where you get regular buses to the airport. Clean with air conditioning and amazing power shower. Moderate walk to leaning tower and restaurants.Breakfast was great, huge selection of things, like being in a supermarket.Coffee from machine was disappointing though.ps. Hire a scooter and head down the coast, its loads of fun but scary at first!

We only arrived at the hotel at midnight and it was for 1 night only. The Hotel and service was adequite, although quite pricey for what was offered, however as we only needed an overnight stay, it was OK.

This is a good place to stay for one-two days. The hotel is reasonably good for a reasonable price. However, we were not impressed with the room, which was OK but was not in its best shape. The bed itself was very good though. Very convenient location close to the railway station, and 15min from airport by bus (only 0.95 eur/one way). The area around is so so, maybe, not a good idea to go out at the night. Reception is open 24h a day and was quite helpful. Very convenient if you want to come at the evening, go to the Piazza di Miracoli in the morning (25 min/one way), and leave at the afternoon. Breakfast was OK. Lots of sweets (not home backed), croissants, no ham, no eggs, but there was some paste. The coffee machine needs some experience to work with (had an accident), better to directly ask for a cup of coffee.
