We only stayed one night in the Hotel Terminus and Plaza, arriving by Taxi from the Airport around 8pm, dropping our bags off and going out to find something to eat. It was easy to find, close to several restaurants, and a short, easy walk to the station when we left the following morning. Lots of choice at breakfast, and we were able to leave our bags while we went in. search of the Tower without a fuss. All in all, it suited our purpose perfectly

Very close to station so a good place to stay for an early flight. Not the poshest part of Pisa but it was quiet and it was fine walking back there from the centre after an evening out. Good buffet breakfast.Good value compared to other hotels in area.

At check in, the clerk wanted to hold my passport. This was the only time during a two-week stay in Italy that I was asked to leave it. I protested and he let me keep it. It seemed like something sleazy was going on. The hotel is in a seedy neighborhood.

This is a great hotel if you are spending a night in Pisa on your way somewhere else. Rooms are clean, staff speaks English. As Pisa is quite small it was a fine location. No problems at all.

I was travelling with my friends and booked 1 triple room, and 1 double. The surroundng area is pretty poor, as it is our 1st time there. The area is run down, packed with a lot of homeless people. We just didn't feel safe living there. The room is ok but the toilet is small and a little smelly. But hey, is a budget hotel so.... The reason we chose there, is the convenience to the airport in Pisa by ryanair. Only 5 mins on train to the airport. The staff in the hotel was ok with me as i was a girl but with my male friend, the staff was pretty rude to him. He was saying something in italien which sounds a bit like insults, whenever he asked him something. Well, i don't think i would recommend this hotel o couples or family. Perhaps student on budget holiday ?/??

The main plus point of this hotel was its close proximity to the main Pisa Centrale rail station, which is a matter of about 250m away. The main downside is that the surrounding area is run-down and poorly lit, making it less than welcoming at night. Pisa's centre is relatively small, so this hotel is ideal if spending a single day's sightseeing with an overnight stay before moving on elsewhere, as it is within a short bus or taxi ride to the main sights. For a longer stay a more centrally-placed hotel may suit better, as the Arno is about 10-15 mins walk and the Campo dei Miracoli more like 30-40 mins minimum. The receptionist was very helpful (and witty to boot), and the breakfast was the broadest & best range we had in 3 different hotels in our visit to Tuscany, served on a long buffet table in a bright, airy dining room, probably the best feature of our stay - the bedroom was slightly smaller than expected, although the bathroom was a reasonable size, and both were clean & adequately equipped, although the mini-bar fridge was noisy and our 'view' was of a limited light-well down the centre of the building. I would consider using this hotel again, but only as a stopover rather than for a longer stay. I would also mention that the front entrance has steep steps that may be a challenge for disabled or elderly visitors, although the hotel may have an alternative entrance that we did not see at the time we arrived in the evening.

We chose this hotel as our flight arrived late and we were travelling on by train the next day. We arrived late at night & after a short taxi ride (8 euro) we arrived at the hotel. Check in was swift & the gentleman at reception was helpful at directing us to find something to eat at such a late hour. Room was somewhat dated but clean with a very comfortable bed. Lots of variety for breakfast but mostly sweet things which we are not used to. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we spent the morning looking around Pisa, before moving on. Hotel is a 5 min walk from the main train station. A 10 min walk to main shopping street and a further 10 - 15 mins to the leaning tower.

The Hotel is situated just a few steps from the train station. The breakfast was really extensive. Unfortunately there was a chemical smell in the room. Probably in case of the cleaning agents. The receptionist didn't like to speak english with us. So it was difficult for us to get some informations.

THe hotel was a good bargain for the price and was clean and relatively quiet. The central location (very near the train station) was convenient for my purposes, because I was using the hotel as a pied a terre to visit other towns and was not touring Pisa though there are buses for the tower not far from there. It is not a glamorous part of town, but train stations never are. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and was included in the price of the room. THere was a refrigerator in the room which is always a plus in summer. The bathrooms were lovely. I had no complaints about the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. And I have stayed in other hotels in Pisa and they are not this nice nor is the staff this nice. And they let me use the htoel in the lobby for free which I appreciate. And the prices are higher for no reason in the other hotels.

Excellent hotel to stay in Pisa, it has no luxory but it has a perfect location, it is near the train station, and also very near from airport by bus. You can also get to the Pisa tower by bus very easy, or even doing a walk to get there =20 min walk= Very clean and the towels size are now great, as long as a person could be. The room for 4 people is not to big but its enough to a good rest.

The Hotel was superb. Less than 5 mins walk from the train station. First impressions were surprise at the quality for the price (Pleasantly surprised) The walk to the Duomo & Tower was around 30 mins easy stroll. I managed it in little under 20 mins on the afternoon of arrival. We would suggest walking more towards the centre to eat as the area around the hotel left a lot to be desired. We had a wonderful evening meal within the vicinity of the Duomo. And a very disappointing one near the hotel. We used the hotel as a convenient for the airport last couple of nights following a holiday in Florence. Taxi to the airport was 5 mins. All in all an excellent choice. We would stay here again.

We stayed overnight on a stopover as our plane arrived in Pisa. It was convenient to the airport and there was no problem with a late check-in. The family room was as described, very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of food and even a small offering of gluten- free food which was clearly labelled. I found the man on the reception desk very helpful the next day with directions and he allowed to leave our bags as we did some sightseeing. I would stay here again if I was visiting Pisa.

The fridge in the room was a bit noisy. Also, pay attention when using drinks from the fridge. We used one bottle of water, and the day after the room service checked it twice (without replacing the missing one) and again the following day it was checked still as missing (without replacing). So we were charged 3 bottles instead of 1. Luckily the employee at the reception after having already completed the transaction and discussing the event let us go with 2 bottles of water.

The hotel has potential, but it needs a much better housekeeping. Rooms need to be cleaned from top to bottom, from time to time! A little bit of ordinary maintenance is also needed.

The Terminus & Plaza was a very good value stay for a triple room with a decent breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly - they usually are if you try a few words of the local language. Location is excellent for ease of access to trains, and local buses to the city and airport and some excellent restaurants. However, the streets around the hotel are not the most attractive and some people may find them a bit rundown.

The Hotel Terminus & Plaza was within a short walking distance of the railway station, so was excellent for links to Lucca, Florence and Pisa Airport. The town centre and the Duomo was a pleasant but longish walk away. The hotel is not particularly characterful but convenient and good value for money.

A very good value hotel in a central location for the railway station for touring outside Pisa yet close enough to walk "up" into the main areas of Pisa. Only small comment was the fact that our window wasn't strong enough to cope with the noise of the air conditioners outside. Talking of noise, why is it that other residents don't know how to keep quiet in the early hours of the morning?

Hotel Terminus & Plaza was very good for our purpose. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The situation very near railway station was good and also the bus stop to the airport was easy to find and use and very close to the hotel. Also the main sights of the town were easily to reach by walking. The rooms were silent (no traffic noise). Breakfast was also good, only cold cuts were missing. The staff was very polite and helpful and had good knowledge in English. If I try to find something negative, it was the fitted carpet in the room. I can really recommend Hotel Terminus & Plaza for your stay in Pisa!!

This is a good place to stay for one-two days. The hotel is reasonably good for a reasonable price. However, we were not impressed with the room, which was OK but was not in its best shape. The bed itself was very good though. Very convenient location close to the railway station, and 15min from airport by bus (only 0.95 eur/one way). The area around is so so, maybe, not a good idea to go out at the night. Reception is open 24h a day and was quite helpful. Very convenient if you want to come at the evening, go to the Piazza di Miracoli in the morning (25 min/one way), and leave at the afternoon. Breakfast was OK. Lots of sweets (not home backed), croissants, no ham, no eggs, but there was some paste. The coffee machine needs some experience to work with (had an accident), better to directly ask for a cup of coffee.

The hotel is well located in city centre, within 2 minutes walk of the Pisa Centrale train station. The surrounding area is slighlty dodgy especially at night, I would not want to hang out around it for sure. Rooms are ok, not the biggest but comfortable enough. Decor is a bit outdated and looks like in need of renovation One good thing: air conditioning works (very well)and is quiet! Hotel reception staff ok , helped us book taxi to airport for 4.30am as our flight was at 6.30am We were woken up by a loud chatting/ laughing noises in the middle of the night (at about 1 am). My partner literally had to go out of our room and tell the people who were drunk and hanging out in the corridor to keep quiet. After that it was fine but we only had 3 hours of sleep cause we had to wake up at 4am for our flight Would recommend this hotel for 1 night stay plus it is cheap and has a good location, but if you are planning a long stay in Pisa/ using it as a base for travel please look for something better (and there are definitely ones available)

Very nice budget hotel about a 20 minute walk from the main places of interest and 5 minutes from the railway station. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet side street. Not in the best neighborhood and not really centrally-located. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the Leaning Tower. It is very close to the train station. This may explain the sketchy characters that can be found walking the streets in the area. Inside the hotel it is quiet, clean, and (most importantly, for summer travelers) COOL. We rushed back to the hotel just to enjoy the AC in the afternoon.

I just loved the area in which the hotel was situated (no gardens or anything like that), narrow streets, full of character - only about 20-mins walk from Pisa's leaning tower/ cathedral - with a real hotch-potch of local residents, i.e. african (a woman in colourful traditional dress carrying her shopping on her head - no hands - walking down the street and very cheery), chinese, indian, etc. Although our 1st stay, would go again and would recommend it.

My wife and I have stayed here before, so we knew what to expect. The hotel is ideally situated for the station (which is what we wanted), but this time we noticed more noise in our room than last time, although we were on a lower floor this time. We both considered the breakfast to be more than adequate, and it set us up for the day. The carpet in the room was in need of a good clean, and the decor was a bit tired, but otherwise the hotel provided a reasonably-priced four night stay. There is a lot more to Pisa than the tower, there are a million places to get excellent, reasonably priced food, and there are lots of places to see in the surrounding area. We'll definitely go back again.

Highly recommended for short term staying. Breakfast was a little bit to crowdy in the morning, small area for all tourists but in the end it was OK. The breakfast was very comprehensive with a variety of breads and cereals as well as other pastries and some meats. Hotel staff is very friendly and competent. Very difficult to drive there from the airport. Directions are very poor. Parking is a problem, however, we got lucky and found a spot just up the street. Very large room for European standards. Perfect for 4 adults. Room smelled but was fine after opening window for a while. It was fine for one night, to see the sights in Pisa, then drive on to Florence. Would not stay longer than one night. No view, not too close to sights. Continental Breakfast was included and was adequate.

an anonimous hotel near the relways station. It is the typical accomodation just for a night. Conclusion: " maybe what a business man would appreciate!!!!"

love the hotel. It is very pretty and nice. The room is very spacious. Since Pisa is such a small town. It is within walking distance to leaning tower, and train station to florence or PIA.

We only stayed for one night, but were very surprised by the size of the room for a city. we would recommend to friends.

We had booked for 2 nights coming and going. The first night was very noisy not from traffic but sounded as if all the furniture was being moved around. Scrapings and grindings. On our return we had a different room which was ok. Pleasant breakfast room and decent buffet breakfast. Not a good area but at least near the station.

The hotel is very convienent to the train station, it is a little bit of a walk to the main part of town, and is exactly the opposite side of town from the tower. We were in a second floor room, and it was a lot of noise from the street.

We only stayed in Pisa for one night, which was a good choice in the end. The hotel room was all as listed except our room stunk like someone's sweaty socks. On our check out the gentleman at reception hardly said a word to us and was rather cold. We had everything we needed otherwise and it was very close to the train station.

As a mid priced hotel, we found the accommodation as excellent. The concierge recommended 2 restaurants in the area, the one opposite being excellent. Location was excellent 15-20 min walk to to leaning tower, 2 min walk to train station, 5 min taxi from airport. Only hour from Florence.

The hotel is very near from the train station and aeroport, so it is aproppiare for people who travel to Florence and only are going to stay in Pisa one day. The breakfast is good and the room is clean. The price is not high in comparison with the others Pisa hotels.

There was 1 (one) lamp in the room, i.e. the table lamp, and it was virtually impossible to read at night, certainly not in bed, because it was so dark. My single room was extremly narrow. It was just not a 3-star-level hotel, despite the clean environment and the friendly personnel.

Our best recommendation: DO NOT MISS THE BREAKFAST, by far the best we have ever eaten in Italy. Note, that the breakfast closes already at 0930, even in weekends. The restaurant across the street is also recommendable with huge portions and low prices. Try e.g. the bisteca. The hotel itself - well, it has a convenient location for travellers, but all main sights are at least 10 min away by foot. The hotel is also located in a quite rough area, not a place to bring small children.

The best point about this hotel is the proximity to the railway. Although, the area around railway station is not a nice place to be after dark. If you must stay here, plan to get here during daylight. This hotel is woefully overpriced. We paid 105 EUR for a triple room. A more realistic price might have been 60 EUR. We were only scheduled to stay 1 night and if it had of been more than this, we would have checked out and gone somewhere else after our first night anyway. This is advertised as a 3 star hotel, which is very generous in my opinion and makes a mockery of the star rating system. The decor was seriously outdated and there a lot of flaking paint in the room. Despite no smoking signs being evident everywhere, the room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke, which is not what you want from a family room. The bathroom was tiny, more akin to Tokyo than Italy. You had to back onto the toilet! The breakfast was included in the price but was very poor in terms of selection and quality. The street outside was very noisy (although it was a City location). Many of the TV channels were not tuned properly. There is only one small lift and there seems to be no provision for wheelchair access at the front entrance. We saw two different reception staff - one of whom was very pleasant, whilst the other was very impolite and ignored me for several minutes before resigning himself to the fact that I wasn't going to go away. I didn't bother complaining about the room smelling of smoke, as I honestly believe that I would have gotten a shoulder shrug and eyebrow raise in response. We have visited Italy many times and we have found the hotels in Milan and Pisa to be the worst quality and value by far. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I stay here again.

We think this hotel is perfect for travellers who want to stay for one night only or for people who need a "basecamp" while visiting Pisa and the cities nearby (Siena, Florence), since the hotel is only 2 minutes away from the central train station.

We find the hotel very good. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom with hair-dryer. If you look for something near the train station, buses and airport is the perfect place. Although you want to stay near the Pisa Tower, this hotel has very near the pink line buses that will drive you to that area. It's not very far from the city-center, well Pisa is not a very big city.
