Nice value for money, at least in my case (80€). It is not in the city centre, but this should not discourage anyone who is fit enough to walk 15-20 min. or take a bus, since almost everything in Pisa is within walking distance from the centre (airport included!)

On the whole, this hotel served our purpose as an overnight stop, but why do these hotels always seem to serve horrible insipid orange juice, almost as if it has been watered down further? Some of the above marks could have been increased if a decent juice had been provided.

Nice, clean rooms in a 2003 built hotel with business facilities. Breakfast was standard quality. Only 10min from historical center of Pisa, shopping facilities within walking distance, spacious underground parking. Ideal as basis for excursions.

A good place if you just want to sleep. Beds and bathromm are fine. The breakfast is so, so. There is no fresh coffee, just instant coffee. Espresso is available against extra charge. Some of the staff are friendly, some not. Quite out of the center but okay if you don't mind to walk 20-30 minutes.

Me ne sono andato.

We were three adults of which one was disabled we asked for a three bed room with disabled facilities which we got. Staff were knowledgable and curteous, especially the dining room staff. We used the courtesy bus with no problems and were very pleased with our stay. Breakfast included was good variety and fresh.

The hotel was the highlight of our trip to Pisa. It was a very peaceful and quiet place to rest. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and took advantage of the free breakfast. Compared to other hotel breakfasts, Repubblica Marinara's was excellent! We walked to the city center and the tower and used the bus to travel to the nearby train station. It was all very convenient.

The hotel was very nice and clean but pretty far from the train station and centre approx. 30min walk then another 30min to tower. The hotel room was large but no tub which was disappointing for the price. Shuttle service offered to train station, centre, and tower. Although I complained about the distance the shuttle service was never offered I only realised on the last day that this was available. Most reception staff were nice and all spoke English, breakfast was decent. A car rental was arranged by the hotel and hotel offers free parking which was nice. On the whole the hotel was nice my only gripe was the distance to the centre having two small children.

Hotel staff very welcoming and quickly sorted out a table for us at a good local restaurant (the hotel restaurant was closed during our stay). We found the rooms (*2) very quiet even though they both faced the main road. Excellent secure under hotel parking with plenty of space although the hotel did seem rather quiet when we stayed. There's not much to see around the hotel but the town centre is easily walkable and driving in and parking in the streets on a Sunday is no problem. Only slight negative was the beds were too firm for our liking. Would use the hotel if visiting again.

We were disappointed that the Hotel's restaurant wasn't open during our stay. There was a reasonable pizzeria nearby but on the Sunday that was closed too and we had to go into town where not much was happening either! breakfast was quite good though.

Staff were really friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The Hotel was about 20 mins walk to the outskirts of town centre. If you're looking to go the the Tower you'll be walking for another 15 mins. There is a bus stop no more than 1 min from the hotel which goes into town and to the train station. 1 think I was surprised about was the lack of a kettle in the room - I like to wake up and have a nice cuppa! But on going to the following hotel in Rome it seems this is the norm.

Have already stayed at HRM on a business trip, and liked the hotel well on both visits. Location is a little bit boring, but city center is within reasonable walking distance. Good breakfast for Italy, if we should nit-pick we'd have liked more fruit (and the croissants were a bit stale...) Employees were very helpful and courteous.

Pisa was our arrival and departure point for a 3 week tour of central Italy. We selected the Repubblica Marinara over some more centrally-located hotels because it offered a parking area, a restaurant, and had received many positive ratings. For our purposes, this proved an excellent choice. We were able to recover from jet lag and get ourselves organized in a comfortable and restful setting. The restaurant staff were most obliging; their breakfast was substantial; the menu for the evening meal was quite sufficient; and the meals were well-prepared. The desk staff were perhaps a little less engaging than their counterparts in the restaurant, but still we had no difficulty in receiving information, assistance, and directions from them. If you are content to walk, the hotel is about 20-30 minutes from the the Piazza dei Miracoli, and the neighborhoods along the route, while thoroughly urban, are safe and reasonably interesting. Several trattorias and a pastaceria are near the hotel. In summary, the Reppublica Marinara served us well as a place to recover from 24 hours of air travel and our attendant jitters, and to begin our travels with confidence. We received our rental car on the second day: I wouldn't recommend trying to locate the hotel from the airport immediately upon arrival.

A BIG plus for the (only) restaurant at the hotel. A free glass of sparkling welcomes the guest to a very service minded and competent waiter/waitress. We based our choices of their recommendations with regard to food as well as to wine and it was just marvellous! Best meal ever in Italy (and we have had a lot!) My personal tip: Try the tenderloin and have "crepes" for dessert - you will not easily forget it! Also, even though the surroundings is not particularly nice, the location compared to Pisa Airport is great. Apprxm 5-10 minutes drive takes you there (I assume not much more in the rush hours).

Large rooms, decent sized shower, very clean, friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurts, fruit, croissants, cheese, cold meats, rolls etc. The Tower was about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Staff allowed us to leave our bags while we explored Pisa which we really appreciated.

It's a comfortable hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. The place is bit impersonal because it seems to cater more the business traveller than vacationers. Nonetheless, it's very convenient -especially if you have a car because they have ample parking space- and correctly priced.

The room was good and the bathroom clean although the main floor could have been cleaner. There was also a mountain of fluff under the beds. The staff were multi-lingual and very helpful apart from one young man who failed to order us a taxi for the following morning's trip to the airport, a situation which was quickly remedied by a female member of staff. The breakfast was excellent especially the "deliciousnesses" (as described on the room information sheet). Buses into town were cheap and frequent and tickets could be bought at reception. The location was very handy for the airport and not too far from town although it was located on a busy main road. All in all a good hotel to stay in.

The hotel is NOT in centre of Pisa as indicated. There were no restaurants within walking distance, apart from the overpriced, uninspiring hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet was inadequate despite claims that it was great, no fresh fruit, no edible bacon, little ham/salami. I would not stay here again.

The room was clean and nice, however the view from our window was not really lovely. Apart from this, the staff was quite nice and the breakfast buffet offered quite a lot although it might be recommendable to get up early to have the full choice. Moreover, the hotel is very well located. You can walk to the centre and the piazza dei miracoli, and the train station and airport are not far away neither. We would definitely recommend to stay there.

The hotel is absolutely fine, but the location by a very busy road is unfortunate if you like fresh air - i.e. a window open - at night The breakfast was excellent and included in the price. The offer of transport to the centre and to the railway station was most welcome, and the staff were most helpful. All the internal facilities were very good. In fact the only problem with the hotel is the location, which might not be a problem at all to business customers. As it was we found that the only public transport back to the hotel left the centre of Pisa just after 8 o'clock. It was not too expensive in a taxi, but a bit disconcerting to discover public transport stopping so early. It was however still good value for the money, and we would stay again if we could get a room on the side of the hotel away from the main road.

Staff was very helpfull, breakfasts were marvellous, and what is worth of mentioning Pisa is a great place to stay mainly because it's a perfect start base for Siena, Florence and other sites and hotels are much cheaper.

Republica Marinara proved to be an excellent choice of hotel in Pisa as its roughly half way between the Airport and the city centre. We only ate breakfast in the hotel - it was superb, an excellent range of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and of course toast and rolls. The hot option of scrambled eggs and bacon was equally delicious and the buffet style made it easy to pick and choose what you wanted. A good selection of teas were more to our liking than the coffe which wasn't up to the standard of the other coffees we enjoyed in Italy.Althogh we were in a room at the front of the hotel we were unaware of any traffic noise from the main road. The only disappointment in our stay was the shower which was more like a trickle and on several occasions was a cold trickle! There's an excellent Pizzeria about 100 yards away. When we asked at reception for a taxi to the airport we were surprised to be picked up by what we reckon was the hotel chauffeur in a black, leather trimmed, luxury Mercedes. Well worth the 10 Euros.

I had requested a hotel central to Pisa. This hotel was not as central as hoped although adequate. Local bus service was Pisa CEntrale (9) was good but evenings meant taxis in and out of town. REstaurant although excellent was rather expensive. Breakfast good if not a little crowded. Bar facailites a little sparse and therefore nowhere to sit apart from the lobby. More of business hotel but having said that quite comfortable. Unfortunatly no room service.

This was the first my wife and I had been to Italy and I must say we were overwhelmed. This hotel is conveniently situated for all Pisa has to offer. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help and the breakfast buffet was lovely. Rooms are bright, spacious and meticulously kept and the mini bar very reasonably priced. This hotel lives up to its four star billing easily and has a lovely ristorante/pizzeria just across the road which also has very friendly staff. We'll be back!

Great hotel for a reasonable price. Just a little bit out of Pisa City centre and a convenient €10 taxi ride to the airport. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice including a most delicious cheesecake. Staff very friendly, rooms clean and modern and taxi obtained for us in two minutes. The hotel was well appointed, but in the middle of a residential area, so not really any restaurants locally - especially on a Sunday when the hotel's restaurant and bar are closed. The restaurant was overpriced and we had a disappointing bottle of wine. The breakfast was first class, but this is really a hotel for business people on an expense account! The room's airconditioning wasnt working, and the receptionist said someone would come to fix it. They didnt and there were no other rooms available, but she did provide a large fan, which kept us cool. The hotel is only about 25 minutes walk from the city centre and convenient for the airport.

The hotel was all that previous reviews had indicated it would be. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful and in particular I would commend the hotel restuarant on the quality of the service and the excellence of the food. From a tourists point of view there were two drawbacks, namely: I would have appreciated coffee making facilities in the room, and secondly, the hotel was a twenty minute walk from the town. With foreknowledge I would have armed myself with a handful of bus tickets and used the frequent and convient bus service into the centre (No 9 for anyone interested)

Comfortable accomodation offering all facilities, services as well as room design features of the international 'business traveler type' of hotel chains. Efficient english spoken staff. Hotel is located at the edge of town in a residential area (four storey condominium buildings with green areas in between), some 25 minutes walk from Pisa central station. Public transport bus stop in front of the hotel. Certainly convenient for those travelling by car. Travellers arriving by plane or train need not be deterred by the slightly 'out of center' location. Do study the map before you set out; It's easy enough to find but the hotel site map is confusing.
