This hotel was a gem. The local pizzeria and restaurant in the area recommended by the staff were excellent and I felt part of the neighborhood. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice, very helpful and discreet staff. Good relationship between price and quality. The single-room was small and old furnished, old smelling as well. The bathroom was extremely small and windowless, but it was all clean and comfortable enough for me. The hotel is in a good position: not too close to the station but very easy to reach from there (less than 10 minutes'walking). As a single traveller, I felt very much at ease in this hotel.

My single room was extermely tiny and a bit anonymous, but clean and with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was on the contrary decently large. The employees are often involved in other activities, but very kind when explicitly requested to do something for the customer.

The room was a bit shabby but clean. You can walk from the railway station but it is a long walk if you are carrying a lot of luggage ... There is a bus stop close by the hotel, though. The sights are close enough. A great advantage is that the hotel takes dogs.

For an overnight stay in Pisa not too far from the station in pleasant surroundings this was ideal.

A bit farther away from the beaten track, but still walking distance from the central station and the Leaning Tower. Nice breakfast.

We were only there one night and it was a bank holiday/feast day so being away from main tourist area it might have been quieter than usual. Very handy for train station - just a short walk.

Second time we have been here - just right for an overnight stop. Next time we will avoid Tuesdays since the wonderful, nearby Galileo Restaurant was closed

Hotel Minerva was not my first choice, but for the one night before flying home there was not much choice. Minerva is not in the older part of the city, and the room we had was on the street and quite noisy. The room was clean enough, but definitely needed an overhaul - the showerroom in particular - strange plastic concertina style doors were not brilliant. Of all the places we stayed this was the most disappointing, and expensive, but mainly Pisa was the dirtiest and most unpleasant city to walk around in especially at night, and the only place we felt a little unsafe

Really friendly welcome on arrival. Nice tidy, clean room. 10 minute walk from centre. Enjoyed my stay and would definately choose the Minerva again

A charming and quaint hotel with very helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend it & will stay here again on my next visit to Pisa.

We have stayed only for one night (fortunately)- the noises during the night were horrible. The room was clean but to small as for four person.

Pleasant small hotel in a nice area of Pisa away from the manic tourist throng. One disadvantage is no lift, so if you arrive from the airport with 4 heavy suitcases and have a room on the second floor, as we did.......... Two great restaurants close by are Buca and Galileo (superb for dinner). Typical Italian and full of locals. Ask at reception for directions, only a 10 minute walk from hotel. I would stay there again no problem, but remember it is a budget hotel so don't expect too much.

this hotel was rather old and dated. One of the hotel staff was a bit cranky and gave us a hard time about the minibar, insisting we used things we did not, although that was resolved after extended discussion. There is not much to see in Pisa other than the tower and cathedral. Hotel was not easy to find. Breakfast was ok.

Owner does not speak good English but he has an employee who in can be understood. Beautiful room, we felt very much like a local seeing as it was away from the madness of the city. Not hard to find using the Metro system. For breakfast we were given vouchers to a local cafe. Very nice place.

This hotel was average. The good points were that the location was convenient for the train station and not too far from the leaning tower. It was clean and well kept. However, it was very expensive for the quality of the room. €85 per night was charged when similar standard hotels generally charge about €60 around Italy. Beware of the paper thin walls as we (and the rest of the floor) were treated to a very loud show from the people across the hall.

We arrived close to midnight due to a late flight. The gentleman who greeted us was terrific! The room was nice and clean. The location was convenient. The lady at the front desk pointed out attractions on the map we would have by-passed. Smoking was allowed in the general areas despite the new law in Italy, which wasn't nice because it makes me sick. I would recommend this hotel again to anyone.

Just right for an overnight stop - we would happily use it again, especially because of the recommendation from the receptionist to eat at the nearby restaurant, Galileo, which had an excellent menu and wine list. Easy walking distance from station (quick taxi ride with cases)and also quick taxi ride from airport.

Hotel was fantastically situated - very central but quiet. Slightly dated BUT in a very comfortable & homely way. VERY clean; staff very polite and helpful. No bar or restaurant in hotel but wasn't missed during our stay - plenty of alternatives nearby! Would definately revisit.

A nice hotel generally. However there was no garage for parking as listed on the web site. Only a voucher to park on the main road. Breakfast was average with little choice. Rooms clean with good air conditioning. Relatively short walk to the center of Pisa and the sites. Lots of steps with no lift, so pack light. Expensive place for quality, but in Pisa they all are.

Hotel Minerva's location is a little "away" from the main sights in Pisa and most restaurants. But this also makes it quiet, easy to get to from the rail station, and easy for one to get to the airport for a morning flight.

It was a great stay. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. And this hotel was recommended by Rick Steves' Travel Guides, so I knew it was going to be wonderful.

Nothing much to say. We only stayed one night and probably did not explore the full potential of the services ofered by the hotel. But our stay there was amiable and the employees were all very curteous.

This hotel is really o.k. and rather quiet compared to other locations in the centre of Pisa. There are some good restaurants around for the evenings: Especially w'd like to recommend "Ristorante Ai Lumi", Via S. Martino, 89 – good service and excellent (!) Italian (Sicilian) cooking, moderate prices.

We found the location fairly easy to find from the map provided. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the railway station, and as we only had a small suitcase each with wheels this was easy enough - had we had heavier luggage I feel a taxi would be needed. The room we had was at the back of the hotel and consequently quite peaceful. Although the airport is relatively nearby, we only really heard one plane. We arrived on a very hot day, about luchtime, and had a very pleasant drink in the shady and peaceful garden at the back of the hotel. It was very pleasant, also to be served breakfast in the garden. The only thing I would like to point out is that the hotel has no lift and could therefore be a problem to some people.

I believe this hotel was very over-priced in relation to the quality. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and have paid a lot less for a lot more. I would recommend that anyone planning to stay here ask for a room off of the street. The motorcycle/car traffic on the street was so loud even ear plugs didn't help.
