Our plan was to be near Pisa and use public transportation. It worked. The Hotel Manzi is somewhat neutral in decor but is very functional and clean. The seacoast setting more than makes up for any lack. The manager (owner?) was available, informative, and helpful. There are extremely convenient busses to Pisa about every half-hour. The fellow passengers were friendly and helpful. We were there for 5 days at the end of October. All 5 days were sunny and in the high 60's... perfect. There is a wide sidewalk that goes for more than three miles with various establishments. The beach is not really what Americans think of as a beach... it's more like a pond-beach.

The Patron was very helpful, offered a choice of rooms and really tried to make our stay pleasant. The only downside was very smelly drains, which permeated our bathroom until the last day, when the smell was fresher.

The hotel is spacious and great. a short distance from pisa downtown, but it is convenient, should you drive. the only limiting factor is the photocopied map around the hotel which we were given. it is hand-written and not very clear.

Clean, friendly hotel located by the seaside. Nice, easy drive to the centre of Pisa. Greta pizza and gelato nearby!

Hotel Manzi is in an excellent location for sea views and fantastic sunsets. We had a room with a small balcony the room was quite large and spotless although the decoration was slightly dated. The breakfast buffet was adequate(continental).Although we had a car there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. My wife and I have been to Marina di Pisa many times and have italian friends who live in the town.

It might be not very exiting location for a solo traveller, also it IS an italian place. It will be difficult for you to find an english speaking company if you are looking for the one. Mind there is no a sand beach, so it definitely not for a family with children.

We went to this hotel in preference to staying in Pisa and that proved to be a masterstroke. The resort is 15/20 minutes from Pisa centre on a regular, inexpensive (less than 2 euros) bus service. Marina di Pisa is a lovely, unspoilt family resort with excellent sea food restaurants. The facilities of the hotel were first class and we had a room ovelooking the sea. Would definitely go back again.

Nice view at sea from our window. If you like sea, sunbathing and swimming in sea, it is ideal. The restauramts at the beatch are nice situated, but the food quality not too good. We did love our stay at Manzi!

An excellent hotel. The lady in charge was very helpful. It was very good value for money. We liked being beside the sea. The only problem was the main road along the beach was shut on our arrival making access difficult. However parking was sorted immediately for us

Very basic hotel for overnight rest stop enroute to next destination. 2 double rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was nice with rooms facing main road along waterline. Normal booking entails extra charge for use of electricity for lights, however, they did not add this charge with my Venere.com booking. Substantial breakfast was included. No one at desk available after 11 PM. Adequate parking outside door of hotel. Marina de Pisa is nice, quiet little beach town in good location just outside of Pisa.Nice place to stay to avoid main city congestion/crowds & still good proximity to visit city. Terraza of hotel (pictured)was nice, but no lights if you want to sit out there after desk closes at night. As stated earlier, Hotel Manzi is a good "rest stop" at good price for very basic room.

Stayed here after two days in Pisa, had a disabled pensioner with us and found the area to be ideal as it is flat with pleasant walks. The hotel staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent, varied and fresh. Our only reservation was that it was well used and this was not reflected in the price but would never the less recommend this hotel.

The hotel was beautifully situated overlooking the ocean at Marina di Pisa. The staff were very accommodating and made our stay there very pleasant. Alessandro was particularly helpful and was a font of knowledge on the local area. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manzi very much. The rooms were very comfortable and had excellent views of the marina and the ocean.

Great Value for money location, on the shore front, easy reach of Pisa by bus. Rooms basic but very clean, a little traffic noise if you are on the front of the hotel, but the great views more than compensate. All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful, the man on the front desk especially so. Roof top terrace a nice touch. Nearby dining is especially good in The Cliff, good food at good prices and a nice selection of regional wines. A nice place to stay

With my boyfriend, we spend there only 3 nights. All in all, everything was all right and the personal very friendly. Only our bathroom smelt terrible (time to time) and the flushing of the toilet was really noisy (i´m sure, everybody in the hotel heard it everytime, when we used it. At least, we heard everybody - it nerved me especially in the morning, when i wanted to sleep). But the location is really good, you are by the sea and it takes less than half hour to get to Pisa, Lucca, etc.

Great little hotel right on the sea front. Staff very friendly and helpful especially when they arranged a taxi to collect us from the hotel at 4.00am to take us to the airport. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day of our stay (4 days) Breakfast included tea juice cereal toast etc which was just enough to start the day. We travelled to Pisa via the local buses CPT and train to Florence which were both very cheap, 3.40eurs return on the bus to Pisa and 8.00euro reutrn on the train to Florence each. Taxi are expensive it would have been 35.00 euro to the hotel from the airport if we had not taken the local CPT bus just outside the airport to the local bus station in Pisa then catch another bus to Marina di Pisa, toatal travel time was approx 40 mins from the airport to Marina di Pisa. We also hired bikes just 200mts from the hotel at a cost of 15.00 euro for 4 hours for 2 people. You can cycle right along the coast and stop off at any of the bars/cafes along the way. You must remember that Marina di Pisa is generally for italian holidays makers and there are not many other nationalties there however, the locals were friendly and I whould highly recommend this hotel and location.

The hotel is just across the street from the sea and with man-made beach 200 hundred meters away. The receptionist (and owner?) really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Marine di Pisa is a tiny place with no night life (at least when there in September) and some good restaurants and fantastic ice cream places - which was perfect for us there to relax and having a 1,5 year old son.

Area looked a bit run down during the day but was transformed at night when they closed the seafront road and the restaurants put their tables out at night. Nice atmosphere. Safe place to swim ten minutes walk away along the sea front.

We had a nice stay at this hotel, the breakfast seemed very commercial (pasteries were in plastic wrap vs fresh) and the choices were very limited. We had been to a previous hotel in Rome and this was disappointing after that.

We stayed at Manzi for 2 nights, right after 6 intensive days in Rome, and on our way to Florence. The hotel is very confortable, and even if simple, it has everything you need. Our room (206) left us speechless. The sea view is simply, great! We had even a little balcony where we could sit to see the sun go down. The service was also very good, the room was always clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly and the breakfast good enough. Parking was not a problem either. The hotel is located just by the cost, but there is no beach. We had a car, so it was not problem to drive for 5 minutes to Tirrenia (Great sand beaches from Lido complex to the south). One last thing: if you stay at Manzi, do not miss to eat at Cliff (just 100 meters to the right of the hotel, on the beach). Good service, great food (specially the pizzas) and great price. I would definatelly recommend this hotel (and come back when I have a chance).

Lovely place, better suits to individuals who want to relax - this is not really touristic location. Though because of it prices in shops/supermarkets/restaurants are very reasonable. Great places for snorkling/swimming. Highly recommended.

Marina di pisa is a beautiful town on the seafront. The hotel is situated within (literally) a stones throw of the sea and had gorgeous views from all the balconys. On top of the hotel you can see for miles around, with a backdrop of the mountains in the background on a clear day. Nice sunsets, and good albeit fairly basic rooms mean for a relaxing stay. Local food is great aswell with plenty of resturants. Buffet style breakfast is all thats needed, although possibly a bit more variety is needed. Buses every half hour that take you into Pisa for only 4 euros aswell. Only gripes are that none of the hotel staff, or much of the town, speak much english at all. However, even with very basic italian, we were fine. Overall a great stay and extremely friendly staff who did their best to help us find local resturants etc. Great views and brilliant sunsets, what more can you ask for the price!

Stayed at the hotel for one night, on our way to the northern part of Italy. We came by bus, and it stopped just around the corner from the hotel. When leaving, we had to walk a bit to the busstop, not recommended with heavy luggage. We thought it would be closer to the airport/center of Pisa than it was. Taxi was not recommended by information staff in the city because it would be to expensive. Pisa Marina was very quiet at this time of the year.

Your on the beach, so ideal for a family with younger children. However, this hotel like many others has marble/ceramic flooring in the rooms and halls, which means that any sounds are amplified like a megaphone. And if you know Italians (most of the visitors in the hotel), then you should know that they tend to have a much higher volume of speech than Westerners. Other than that small noise complaint the place is really clean, in the heart of an Italian Marina, with the kindest staff. Your also 1 hour from Florence via car and 8 minutes from Pisa. They close the main street on weekends in the Marina, and the locals stroll in it with gelato's and pizza's in their hands. Quit a social and enjoyable experience. oh, and the toilet is in the shower with you. Which is at odds with what is associated with cleansiness, but, you get used to it. Just close the lid and pretend it is not there ;)

Very friendly and competent staff. Even the fact we arrived at 1 am, we were very friendly welcomed. The majority of the rooms are located so they have direct seaview to the Mediterranian, several also have a small balcony. A minor thing, we are not to showers with fixed showerheads, but that is a matter of taste.

This is such a beautiful location--the town is quiet, you are right by the sea, a definite respite if you are touring around the country. The view from the rooms is unbelievable! Great place for walking and jogging. Internet point around the corner. Plenty of great seafood restaurants and grocery stores. Manzi is family run and staff are pleasant and helpful.
