The room is too small to put inside two beds. The price 120€/night is too much for the quality. The bathroom is old. The wall air dryer has broken tubing. The hotel is quiet but not so much comfortable. The location is near the center and Piazza dei Miracoli with the Tower of Pisa but not on the main street. The road outside the hotel is not clean.

I told them when I checked in that I had a 7:00 a.m. flight out and could I have something for breakfast -- any drink or piece of fruit or biscuits? The next morning -- NOTHING! I asked for a discount since I wasn't getting breakfast -- no discount. That night I couldn't get the TV to work. Batteries fell out of remote control as there was no back on it. Tried front desk and no one could come up to the room at 10:00 at night to get my TV to work. I finally figured it out using scotch tape to hold in the batteries, but could never get CNN which your brouchure said they had. Night help was totally not helpful! Elevator turned off and couldn't get luaggage down in the morning. Had to hand carry it. Rang bell for 5 minutes before someone came out to check out. Internet promised a airport shuttle but none existed -- had to call a taxi. Room WAS SO SMALL -- couldn't open door when suitcase was open. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THAT HOTEL AGAIN! I've been to PISA four other times and thought I'd try a new hotel. I will stay at the Hotel Del Duomo. I checked in at 2:00 a.m. there and the staff was so helpful with every thing I requested.

Really close to the pisa tower which was important to us since we were there only for 2 nights. This proximity allowed us to come back to the hotel quite often during the day to rest. It was myself (mom) and my 2 kids (12 and 8). The room was spacious and with a private bathroom which were OK overall. The welcoming was really bad, the man didnt smile, or say welcome or anything. He even looked surprised when we arrived at 11PM saying we had a reservation...and just handed in the keys without any explanation of the hotel facilities, or breakfast times or anything. Breakfast is good, croissants, bread, cereal, coffee machine. The elevator was not working the second day and we were on the 3 floor which was kind of annoying. Only 1 person in the whole hotel was really nice: long hair guy who I think was the only was that spoke english, he was really nice and helpful and he was the only one that was concerned about the elevator not working.

Nothing basically wrong, staff is very nice and helpful. But the general decoration is poor and without character and rooms are particularly small. let say that for a 3 stars rated hotel there is much better in Italy...

To reach the Hotel by car was a nightmare as a result of one-way streets and city- walled location. Replies to requests for help and directions on the telephone (Fluent Italian spoken by guest) were ineffectual. The staff (and ourselves) were less than enchanted by British/Irish tourists visiting Pisa for cheap alcohol.

We booked a quad room for ourselves and two children. What we received was clearly just a double, with a couple of folding beds wheeled in - and barely room to walk between them. The room was clean but very shabby with peeling paint, and overlooking a building site. The bathroom was fine with a good size shower and lots of fresh towels. The breakfast was OK, rolls croissants etc, but the coffee was from a push-button machine, poor quality and not hot. For Euro 160, di Stefano was very poor value for money. However the hotel is in a perfect location, in a quiet street but very close to the leaning tower and cathedral, and a short walk in the other direction to Pisa's main shopping street and the wonderful produce market. We had excellent, well-priced food all over Pisa and ate twice at Vesuvio across the street from di Stefano. Excellent pasta and pizza, pleasant and fast service.

Poor quality hotel but close to centre. This hotel would ordinarly rate as a '1 star'. Loads of building and noise going in front of the hotel..street is so narrow I could have offered the builders a cup of tea from my room window.. at 7am! I had a single room and bed was one of narrowest I had ever slept in - it was scary as there was a big drop to the tiled floor below. Pisa was a disappointment. Boring small town with only the attraction of the Leaning Tower. Restaurants, shops and on the streets were unfriendly and the locals seemed genuinely tired of tourists - in contrast to my experiences in my frequent visits to Italy. Non riturno di piu in Pisa

The hotel is in a pretty good location, a 5 minute walk from the Tower. the room was clean (and small) as was the (separate) bathroom. I needed to leave for the airport at 5:45 am, so the shuttle service was *not* available. Also, the otherwise helpful receptionist CALLED the taxi at 5:45 am, rather than arranging, the night before, for a taxi to BE THERE at 5:45 AM. This made for a somewhat stressful and rather close call at the airport. The room was quite noisy because of the night life outside. If you need to sleep on a weekend, ask for a room facing away from the street. I didn't see an air conditioner in the room, but it was comfortable enough. The receptionist spoke english well enough. overall, it worked out fine.

The noisiest hotel ever! We could hear people blowing their noses in the shower in the rooms surrounding us. The breakfast was terrible, a stale pastry with jam served by a girl who clearly didn't want to be there. The only saving grace was the young guy who picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. Worst hotel of our trip, top 5 worst ever.

The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see in Pisa and the reception staff very helpful. We had been allocated 2 double rooms and they gave the children a room with twin beds as soon as we arrived. However I am unsure how it is graded as 3 star in comparison to other 3 stars we have stayed in in Italy. The childrens room was really small with a terrible smell. Our double room was very basic and overlooking the main street so very noisy. The breakfast was poor. However the hotel was clean. I am pleased we were only staying 1 night.

The location of this hotel in respect of the Leaning Tower is excellent. However, our room was not very clean. The bath still had hairs in it (yuk!). The shower did not work properly - boiling hot or freezing cold only. There were several bulbs missing from the lamps and light fittings in the room. All in all the hotel is a little shabby and dated. There is clearly not a comprehensive maintenance or cleaning schedule. However, the location is excellent and the breakfast was good. Younger staff were friendly and helpful. I thought it was a little overpriced.

We really enjoyed our stay in Pisa, and the location of this hotel is excellent for both local sights and day trips. The quality of service really depended on who was at the front desk. The young man who checked us in was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The older man who checked us out was just the opposite and watched us struggle out the front door with our luggage! We used the parking service because our time was limited and we did not want to hassle with parking. It was expensive (like New York or Boston), but very prompt, and we really appreciated it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a construction sight below our window, but there was nothing going on the weekend we were there. With the windows closed most of the time (April), it was very quiet. The roof terrace would be a really nice spot in warmer weather. Breakfast was adequate, but some fruit would have been nice. Overall, we enjoyed being at this hotel and would recommend it to other people going to Pisa.

They were very helpful when I discovered I had left my mobile phone in the restuarant and tried to get it before we left and they even went round to see if it was open but as it was not and we had to go to the airport said they would mail it to us and I am sure they will a first class service than you.

The Di Stefano provides exactly what it says - accommodation which is clean and comfortable, with a standard breakfast and helpful staff. We arrived late at night, but someone stayed up to welcome us and also gave us a lot of helpful advice for our trip. We were able to park right outside the door for 8 euros. And it's also a very easy walk to the Leaning Tower. A map outlining how to reach the hotel with the one way system on it would have been a help.

A clean friendly hotel. Reception staff very helpful. Lift is a bit tight if you have broad shoulders and big bag! Lovely view if the Tower from the roof terrace. Breakfast adequate - coffee excellent. Unfortunately, lots of building going on around about ( and scooters!) and the windows/shutters didn't keep much noise out. Reception apologised, and got the banging stopped at 7.30p.m. Probably would stay again.

Di Stefano was certainly acceptable but not great. The room's window opened onto a light well where contruction work was taking place, so you couldn't have had an afternoon nap there. And not much fresh air and no view. Also the bathroom was further away than usual. However it was all very clean and modern and included a good breakfast and the staff were friendly and the location is quite convenient and easy to find, so it was a relatively good deal, considering the prices of other places in Pisa.

This hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for the city and a short walk to the tower. However, I cannot understand why it has three stars. My room was small and gloomy and very over-priced at 60 Euros for a single room with no bathroom. I have stayed in accommodation in Italy almost identical to this which was classified as one star or two star and was half the price.

Location was excellent - short walk to the Tower and other sites of interest. However, there was considerable outside noise at times - we had to keep the windows closed most of the time. We would return there and recommend it to others.

My wife and I flew into Pisa from Doncaster, England and stayed two nights before travelling onto Florence. We then returned to Pisa five days later for one nights stay before flying home. We had noted comments about Pisa not being the most interesting of places to visit but found that not to be the case. Pisa is smaller than Florence but therein lies the charm of the city, being more relaxed and more caring about it's treasures than Florence seemed to be. Not least of the delights for us were the three nights spent at the "Di Stefano". This is indeed a superb little hotel, offering excellent accommodation of a surprisingly high standard. Our impressions were of careful and successful attention to the smallest of details and the breakfast could not be faulted, either in substance or presentation. If only every place we visit could have a "Di Stefano" then we should be very happy indeed.

I read the reviews here before booking this hotel but I was disappointed with the overall package. Whilst it is a reasonable price and the location is just behind one of the main streets in Pisa, the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. What a shame! This hotel was within very easy walking distance of the main sights but in a quiet street. We could see the Leaning Tower from the roof terrace. the staff were friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast was rather bland and limited in choice. Our bedroom was compact but satisfactory. Our bathroom was tiny and it was impossible to sit on the lavatory without banging your knees on the wall in front. Our window looked onto an internal courtyard and we could see the unfinished (but not currently ongoing) building work at the other side of the hotel. Despite these minor irritants, we would stay at the hotel again.

This is supposed to be a 3-star hotel? Being in a small italian city (but this is touristy Pisa) I thought I would get more bang for the buck (or the euro). For 60 euros, I got a very small room with a sink but no bathroom. The room itself, while clean, felt more like that of a budget hotel (though cleaner) than a 3-star. the bed was a single bed was less-than-average bedding. In Paris (Paris of all places!), I got significantly better price/quality, since for 70 euros/night I got (thanks to Venere): - a 3-star hotel - a nicely decorated room (though small) - WiFi internet in the room - a bathroom So how does this Pisa hotel compare...poorly. The breakfast was OK.

The location was great for us and considering we were there for only a short time, it justified the slightly higher cost we paid. The hotel was reasonable value although the room was of a lower standard than you would see in N. America for the price paid. It was however clean and had air conditioning which was a plus. The continental breakfast available was good. There was construction work going on to enlarge the hotel so we were subjected to some noise but it wasn't too disturbing. The staff were very accomodating and informative, especially the two younger guys who were mainly on the front desk when we were there. Off-street parking was expensive but you could get on-street parking at a much lesser rate. The hotel is very close to all the tourist attractions in Pisa, no problem walking to everything, so, unless you need a car for some other reason parking cost is no issue. Overall a positive hotel experience without being outstanding.

The hotel is very centrally located and within easy walking distance of the tourist sites, on a quiet side street. Breakfast was simple - selection of rolls and coffee/orange - but fine. The one downside was air conditioning. I thought this came with all rooms but this wasn't the case. If you are visiting during one of the warmer months, I'd advise checking the room has air conditioning. It was a fine place to stay and I would happily recommend it.

This was one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in - not recommended for light sleepers! Otherwise facilities and service were OK. Distance from railway station was understated in description.

What a wonderful charming hotel! Breakfast room, comfortable beds, espresso and cappucino in the AM, a grappa at night...everyone was so friendly, I HIGHLY reccomend this hotel. Its barely a 5 minute walk to the Leaning Tower and an internet cafe is right around the corner. The owners of the hotel were excellent!

La salle de bain à partager ne vaut pas 3 euros moins cher qu'un hotel plus grands avec sa propre salle de bain dans sa chambre Mauvais souvenir. rooms are very small and i've payed for a night but i wasn't able to be to Pisa because my train was cancellated (in italia) i've cancelled but i've payed one night . Rooms of shower shared doesn't cost so much . Bad.

Small hotel in a side street, excellently located close to the main pedestrian are and not far away from the duomo. competent staff. clean but rather small rooms. if you like it quiet in the morning do not take the rooms to the street. the breakfast is very poor, as usual in Italy. I took a room with seperate bath at 60 Euro which was good value for the price.

This was quite expensive for the quality of hotel. Breakfast was one croissant and coffee and cheap orange juice. Room was cold and dark. Wouldnt go back and wouldnt pay that price again.
