Hotel Tartini - Piran

We've stayed here twice - excellent! The gelato in Tartini Square is better than any we ate in Italy!

This hotel is in a great location on the gorgeous square but is let down by its attention to detail such as all over the hotel stained carpets & walls, rusted chair, dead plants etc. Also they held out passports for over 2 hours to check us in, which I don't understand as I work in the hotel and this should be done on the spot, it made me feel nervous especially when the owner joked that they are not selling our passports. Also he didn't know if we had or hadn't paid on arrival and took my paper work, after asking for it back I never recieved it.

This is a lovely hotel in a characterful little town. When we arrived from the bus we were made most welcome. Our spacious room overlooked the small picturesque harbour. There was a plentiful buffet breakfast and they had kindly ordered soya milk for me as I had requested on booking. We ate there on the second evening of our 2 night stay and would certainly recommend the hotel restaurant for the quality of food and value for money. Piran is compact but do find time to climb the church tower and the old town walls for the views.

Pricy. Definetely not worth of money. Rooms are old-fashioned and time-worn. Really crapy bed: the bed made terrible noise every time you turned. Sleeping was difficult. The worst part was that the staff was aware of the problem , but haven't done anything to it. Could not even chnage the room.

Nice hotel just in the main square of the city

We stayed one night at Hotel Tartini because it was close to the landing for the ferry from Slovenia to Italy. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast offered lots of options. However, our bathroom really wasn't clean. Also, the lack of air conditioning necessitated leaving windows open all night, and noise from the square below made it difficult to sleep. Wouldn't stay there again.

Tres bien placé chambres occupées 210 et 212, avec vue port partielle correcte pk à 1km payé par l'hotel, avec navette pour le trajet possible de décharger la voiture au pied de l'hotel, en payant à l'entrée de la vieille ville 1euro l'heure pdj buffet de bonne qualitée

We were staying at Tartini Hotel one night. This hotel has best location - it is situated on the main Tartini Square. The only problem would be night life if your windows look over square. Photo on the site shows back side of the hotel so we tried to sweep past - all distances in Piran are very short. Also there is no parking for the guests, because there is no any place for parking inside Piran. Tartini Hotel supplies you with a free ticket for the common parking outside. It's usual practice here. You can park your car near the hotel for an hour and then you should drive it away. City is very close, so it demands a little time. Also there is free regular bus from the parking to Tartini Square. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was big, clean, with interesting and bright design, with big wardrobe. But bathroom wasn’t so clean. And towels was old and with grime. It was awful. The breakfast was very good for the 3star hotel. Price level is overstating to my mind. And price for the internet is too high: 1 or 2 euro per 20 min with poorest connection and speed. But city is so nice and beautiful that you can forget about all these drawbacks.

Would definitely recommend Hotel Tartini-great location,nice rooms,great breakfast and friendly staff
