Hotel Fergus Montemar - Pineda de Mar

American mother traveling with 21 year old daughter on vacation. We rented car at Barcelona airport and drove to hotel along the coast. Once we reached the small town of Pineda de Mar, the hotel was VERY difficult to find because we weren't accustomed to the street signs, one-way streets, etc. Also, we arrived after dark during a rain storm. Once we found the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised that our stay was "all inclusive" which meant breakfast, lunch and dinner were included, as well as free drinks. We didn't see that mentioned in the website. Not many Americans appear to stay at this hotel. In fact, the receptionist said we were the first Americans she'd met (don't know how long she'd worked there). We asked for double room, but received triple, which was fine. Room was on inside of hotel just above the pool, so it was VERY noisy. However, for the price, it was clean and food was free and edible. Most of the people there when we visited were from England or Netherlands and weren't very outgoing or friendly. Good place to lay your head while laying on beach, visiting Barcelona and surrounding areas. Walking distance to beach and train service to Barcelona (get off at Catalonya station). Rental car probably wasn't necessary. The tour staff was not very helpful and seemed more geared to group activities. Hotel was out of tour books in English, so we weren't as informed as we would have liked. NO internet in rooms. Internet in lobby is 1 EURO for 12 minutes.
