The hotel is just across the street from the beach, at the end of Patong, which means you're not right in the middle of the action, but on the other hand it's more quiet. We stayed on the ground floor which doesn't have a view of the beach, but instead you can jump in the swimming pool straight from your balcony. We had a couple of mosquitoes bothering us the first nights, until they sprayed the room. All in all, a very good experience.
