Hotel Garden - Peschiera del Garda
Via Stazione 18 - Peschiera del Garda
877-662-6988Elegant and confortable Hotel few meters far from train and bus sation and taci, and nera the historical centre of Peschiera. From the moment you arrive you will step into the charming and relaxing world of our fully refurbished hotel, and you will feel that you really are on holiday.
Few meters far form train and bus station and taxi, and nera the hstorical center of Peschiera.
Peschiera: For travellers arriving from the West, this is the gateway to the shore of the lake located in the Veneto region. Here the lake is so wide that it gives the impression of being a sea.
This was an important centre right from Roman times and proof of its development and importance is given by the fortifications built under the Venetian dominion and developed during Napoleonic times and then under the Austrians who made Peschiera into one of the fortresses of the "four-sided stronghold".
Today, the era of armies and battles is long gone and the streets now offer shops, restaurants, ice-cream shops, hotels, camp-sites and facilities for free-time activities.
The genuine and delicious cuisine is based on products from the lake and from the countryside surrounding the town. The dishes are appropriately accompanied by the excellent wines produced in this area : Bardolino, Chiaretto, Bianco di Custoza and Lugana.
Welcoming staff, those on day time reception with excellent English, but all with some English. Clean and with interesting details inside (carpets, oriental pictures...

Welcoming staff, those on day time reception with excellent English, but all with some English. Clean and with interesting details inside (carpets, oriental pictures on the wall), room was large enough and shower room clean. It is near to the station which was why we chose it; although we were at the station end of the hotel, the noise from the station was only audible when the aircon was off. The breakfast was fine, including a good choice of jams and what looked like home-baked cakes. The walk into the centre of Peschiera is about 10-15 min, I was travelling with my daughter and 75 year old mother and it was ideal for us, perhaps an older person might prefer to stay more centrally and use taxi for transport, I would certainly stay there again. Very good value for money.

Good hotel, very convenient for our requirements. Staff friendly and helpful. Found the room we were in noisy due to closeness to station, probably not such a problem on the other end of the building.

If you arived to visit Gardalend Hotel Garden is the best place to stay! Two steps from railway station, accross the street you can find the bus stop of Gargalend free shattle. Lobby is really wonderful, very nice rooms with quite big bathroom, charming balcony with a table, chairs and flowers. We had a very tasty (and not expensive at all) dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff was very friendly. I recommend it for 100%!

Very nice and quiet hotel, rooms clean, air conditioning working very well, spacious terrace with seating. Very friendly and helpful receptionsists speakng good English, breakfast - fairly good - comparing to Italian standars. Very handy location, close to the railway station and not too far form the centre. The only drawback was that public beach was quite far away.

An excellent, friendly, welcoming hotel. It is literally 2 seconds from the train station but utterly quiet and serene. A ten minute leisurely walk into a quaint idyllic village for some great food and spectacular scenery. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was excellent value for money! We cannot wait to go back!

Staff were so friendly. We had to leave very early the next morning and they offered to pack up our breakfast. We did not have to ask. The restaurant attached was gorgeous. The bed was an actual double, not two singles pushed together. When paying our bill as they had no change they reduced it by a few euro even when we had the necessary change. Loved the whole atmosphere and would really recommend it. It is in quite street and close to the centre of Peschiera del Garda.

Although located right next door to main train line between verona & milan the noise from any passing trains was minimal (and we had a room at the front of the hotel which was directly facing the station!). Included breakfast was good and adequate. 15/20 minute walk into main port area of Peschiera. Sirmione is a definite must visit town - hop on the quick (though expensive) hydrofoil.

The hotel was quite nice, near the trans station and the Lake Garda. The room was confortable and clean. The breakfast was nice. I stayed just one day, but was quite happy with the accomodation. If I go there again I would stay in the same hotel. The price was a bit expensive, but comparing with other options, was quite acceptable.

Hotel Garden is very nice with a well priced restaurant attached to it, where we ate a few times during our stay, the waitresses were very helpful with some odd dietary-requirements too! Breakfast was rather poor with cheap cereal and yoghurt with a few pastries as well - more effort could have been made. Peschiera itself is nothing all that special really, it's a through town close to motorways and transport links for people going to "Gardaland" amusement park (lots of small children everywhere!) and it took us a few days of travelling to other little towns further north to really appreciate Lake Garda. Riva (in the far north of the lake) is DEFINATELY worth a visit - and a ferry ride back is breathtakingly beautiful.

Decent hotel. Our room had a very large balcony. Breakfast was good, decent variety. Right next to the train station, but if plan to take the train to Venice, look for other options. It was slow, stopped everywhere, & on the return it only took us part way back & we had to look for another to complete our return. Garda Lake is beatuiful. You can swim with swans or lay in the sun. The waterfront shops are great too & convenient to the hotel. For the hotel's star rating, it was very good.

My children had some trouble entering the hotel when they came home from a party with friends. It took a long time before the dorman understood that they already stayed in the hotel and didn't need a room but just wanted to go to their room. We asked before we left if a late return was a problem, and the manager said that their was no problem at all, that wasn't quite through. It is also a bit noisy, but the rooms are beautiful.

Myself and two friends stayed at the Hotel Garden, It was the fourth time I have stayed there and as always I found it welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and the location is perfect for those who don't want the bother of hiring a car as it is so close to the rail station that takes you to all the main tourist sites.

A 30 secondi dalla stazione di Peschiera. Fantastico. Colazione abbondandtissima: latte, cereali, crostate, caffe, torte, marmellate, fette biscottate, cornetti, succhi di frutta, ecc. Stanza pulitissima, calda, confortevole, aria condizionata, tv, letto comodo, armadio spazioso, bagno con vasca e termosifone sempre acceso. Team preparato e accogliente. L'albergo è eccezionale nel complesso. Ogni mezz'ora pullman per gardaland, (servizio gratuito naturalmente), andata e ritorno. FANTASTICO

We had a fantastic short break at the Hotel Garden. Our reason for the stay was to visit Gardaland and the hotel is ideally placed for that as it is only 5 minutes drive away. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The town and surrounding area was beautiful. We stayed in a family room for 4 and there was plenty of room with a double and 2 twin beds. An excellent holiday. We would deinitely stay in the hotel again.

Hotel Garden is a very friendly and welcoming hotel and the staff are wonderful. It's proximity to the train station makes it an excellent base for travels to many other areas in the north east of Italy but we were never disturbed by any noises from the trains during the night.

Located in a generally shabby neighborhood, the hotel is fine for someone staying overnight and then getting back on the train. Our 'non smoking' room and the hallway outside both reeked of cigarette smoke, which was not pleasant. The room, however, was clean and quiet.

A lovely hotel with friendly staff and the room we had was fantastic with a gorgeous big balcony and a big bath!! The only downside of our stay was being woken at 2am in the morning by two people talking next door. The walls do seem to be paper thin so you can hear everything going on next door! Other than that we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garden especially as the surroundings, Lake Garda especially, is so beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and very accomodating - very, very nice people. The room was a decent size by Italy standards. Breakfast was the usual Italian style - don't expect American bacon and eggs, but you won't starve. The location near the railroad station was very convenient when we arrived by train. We didn't hear the trains at night. It is also convenient for taking the train to do site seeing, although buses appeared to be the more usual mode of transport in the area. Bus stops were conveniently located within a short walking distance. To the main part of town was a bit further (1 - 1 1/2 miles) and crossing some of the streets was a challenge. Any shortcomings are compensated by the superior service and friendliness of the hotel staff.

The hotel actually is located like 20m from the train station! We were very delighted from that since we arriwed by train. Nice and clean hotel, the rooms were quite big and well air conditioned. We liked this little tidy hotel with its hospitable atmosphere and are looking forward to return some day ...The very best thing was the location of hotel Garden - only a few steps from the railway station, bus stops and taxi. Perfect for our excursiones! The breakfast could have been moore warious - as Scandinavians we are not use to have only "sweet things" to breakfast.

Travelling by train for 5 weeks with heavy suitcases, I can't tell you how pleased we were to see how close to the station the hotel is! It's right opposite!! But not only that - you wouldn't know it, as it was excellent for sleeping! We had a wonderful room with balcony and although it overlooked the car park and a bit of the railway, who cares!! I can't tell you how good it is - the staff are really friendly-also in the the bar/restaurant which is really good. The breakfast is good - mainly sweet things and the apple cake is DELICIOUS! About 10 mins level walk from the centre (ask for directions as we walked in totally the wrong direction!)100% recommended by my daughter and I.

We travelled as a family of four and found this hotel to match our expectations. We checked in early afternoon and then left for Verona where we attended an opera show. After a good breakfast in the morning we visited few sites nearby and left the area. We found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable when providing directions and suggested place to visit. A good choice.
