This was a very affordable hotel and the people who worked here were so kind and helpful. Of the 2 weeks I spent in Italy, the Primavera was definately the best quality for the cost. My room was small and a bit rustic, but very clean and bright and cozy and I slept very well. As a single woman travelling, its always important that I feel safe where I go, and I felt so safe there, in large part because of the kindness and the friendliness of the staff. I am really grateful to have found this hotel. The breakfast was also quite decent and they made cappucinos to order.

My original ratings on room quietness and spaciousness were negatively biased: I will definitely come back with my wife if I can reserve one of several rooms that I glimpsed whilst cleaning took place. Instead, I had taken the least expensive room - a single room alongside a small street. It was summer and I chose to leave the window open. It was an important football match weekend. Boisterous university students chose to take a shortcut on the street beneath my window. And the room was discounted although the hotel appeared to have no vacancies. So what do I have to complain about? Really! This is a casual, friendly, and very secure hotel. However, you should be reasonably fit and without excessive luggage due to two flights of stairs before entering reception. I am 62. All other guests were much younger, mostly couples, and generally spoke English. I suspect some were Americans... polite but demanding. Most admirable was the ability of Valentina to multitask during the breakfast rush - sucessfully juggling a multiplicity of requests. Some were non breakfast related... assistance with procuring opera tickets, deciphering timetables, interpreting, answering the phone, and somehow miraculously brewing cafes, serving breakfast, etc. The breakfast room has a large window with a vista past an adjacent church and over the town. The hotel is convenient, although secluded. You can walk in any direction to places of interest, or to hillside escalators to the central bus and train stations. Taxi drivers are friendly and knowledgable locals. Especially appreciated: I forgot a sports coat hanging in the closet, and had to depart before settling the mini-bar bill. No problem. Staff replied very quickly to my emails. They even emailed copies of postal receipts to return the jacket, and refused to let me pay extra for their efforts.

My overall experience at the Hotel Primavera Mini Hotel was definitely positive. There was nothing lacking - except for a lift/ascensore/elevator! The staff were friendly, helpful and competent and prepared to go the extra mile. A good family ambience. I would recommend the Hotel and would certainly go back there again.

Terrific location just up from the Cupa mini-metro & steps from the historic center & Fontana Maggiore. The hotel directions were well-detailed & easily followed. My single room was fine, clean, compact and as advertised. My window opened onto a quiet street & the garden below. I appreciated the warm welcome from Valentina, the in-room tea service & her advice. The continental breakfast was a great value before my Sunday train back to Rome. I only wish I could have stayed longer & will return to Perugia & the Primavera hotel next visit. The only minus was my single room was off of the reception/common area & was a bit noisy. Perhaps adding a 'privacy door' might reduce some sound-- they've been in business for several decades so they've heard this, I'm sure!

A modest and charming mini hotel at a modest and appropriate price. Great if you want a base set in the heart of the old city, just a few winding alleys and steps away from the main piazza. A very helpful and friendly receptionist was available in the mornings. Breakfasts have to be ordered the night before, though and we weren't told about this, so did not get the early start we wanted to visit Assisi. The small roof garden is a real asset, but only available if the top bedroom is unbooked. Free on street parking is available at the bottom of a flight of public escalators: very convenient once you have found it, but a tortuous route the first time!

If you have suitcases you will have to carry them up 46 steps as the building does not have an elevator. Otherwise for the price good. Their was construction going on around the hotel so this contributed to the noise level.

Light, airy and clean room, comfy bed, and welcoming staff met us at the top of the few flights of stairs. Staff quickly responded to any requests & willingly shared history & other useful information. Great position in a culturally rich old town, full of great views, great places to eat and the vibrancy of multi-cultural student life.

Fantastic location in the old city area. Views from our room were magnificent. Staff very welcoming and friendly. A great start to our Italian holiday. Pity there is no lift, which makes the lugging of suitcases up several flights of stairs arduous.

This was one of our favorite hotel rooms during our most recent trip to Italy. There is much to praise, but primary has to be the friendly welcome from the owners. When we could not find a place to park our car, they actually MOVED THEIR OWN to let us have a space directly in front of the hotel. THAT's hospitality! We could see our car below while looking out our window at a truly splendid view over terracotta rooftops. The room was very spacious (esp. by European standards) and clean with a little two-person desk area where we could take advantage of the free WiFi. I had worried that it might be a little chilly at night since we were there the first week of April, but the heating system kept the room toasty. It's a short walk to everything we wanted to see in the city--great location. And best of all, even though we were in the first room closest to reception and the breakfast area, our room was QUIET. The same can't be said for other places we stayed, and we highly valued the silence (and solid sleep that went along with it)! I would absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends travelling to Perugia.

The ladies working at the hotel were helpful. They provided plenty of maps and information which was helpful. I was also recommended a good restaurant that served genuine Umbrian food, and it didnt disappoint. Within walking distance to main piazza and street.

I loved loved loved this hotel and Valentina, the front desk person. She was very helpful and even made a phone call for me. The directions for how to arrive were dead on. Be sure to make a right when you exit the minimetro station, going uphill, to find the escalator. No elevator so pack light.

Short independent stay (3 nights)in beautiful Perugia - direct train to and from Rome and good bus connections to Assisi etc. Primavera is tucked away in back streets off main square (get "mini metro" & ask when you get near!) Room with view, warm welcome, helpful advice, great restaurant recommendations, good price for single hard-up teacher .... what more could you ask for ? BUT don't drive and don't take lots of luggage (medieval hill-town/ hotel on 2nd floor up marble stairs)
