The hotel was in a very good location, and in walking distance to the main centre square. The hotel is a little dated, but everything was pretty functionable & very clean. The staff were helpful & kind. To use the shower we had to wait a few minutes for hot water. We stayed in an economy room. The only little problem I had was that the phone was above my side of the bed & so it often fell onto the bed. It's definately not in a good position.

Ideal location of the hotel makes it a very good choice for stay for a few nights. You will get a parking permit from the staff so that you can park of the street for free. There is 10-15 minutes walk to the city center and 5 minutes walk to the nice cafe for the breakfast. Wifi signal was low and after midnight we could not get connection at all.

Good trattoria nearby. Excellent help with getting taxi when leaving early. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We had a generally good stay. We had two double rooms one of which had a good view. Our last night was disturbed by a couple in the next room who talked quite loudly into the early hours and resumed early in the morning. Other than that the stay was quiet. Location good for centro storico and bus station.

Small bedroom with spacious modern bathroom. The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the city centre which requires a climb up a long set of steps. The hotel felt a little soul-less but was perfectly adequate. Breakfast costs extra and is served, rather than buffet style. It consists of croissant, bread, yoghurt and jams with no ham or cheese. There is an excellent restaurant close by, just outside the city walls which has a good selection of Italian food and wine and was very good value for money

Although my single room was quite small, it was very clean and the bathroom had a window which makes a big difference. I was at the back and had a view onto the outdoor patio area and some palm trees; it was very quiet. When I arrived the guy on reception couldn't have been more helpful, giving me a map and marking out routes, providing train and bus timetables etc. The hotel is very convenient for the centre and I would definitely stay here again. My only small criticism would be the cost of the breakfast as E6 which I didn't have as I would have just liked a cup of tea in the morning. Cheaper to get this outside.

loved the hotel and would stay again. I had read other reveiws and followed advice by emailing ahead for directions and was sent a map and directions. However, in reality, it is not easy to determine which road is what when you exit the mini metro. However, once I asked a local for some street names I was ok...I would just suggest asking someone for clarification for street names before walking because it could be a long walk up hill if you go the wrong way. Otherwise, though, great place and would stay again.

We stayed here only because we drove our car to neighbouring cities of Arezzo, Cartona, Sansepolero, Spello. It was a place to stay, not a destination point. Their 6 euro breakfast was OK. Out of convenience we bought it because we wanted to get on the road to see surrounding sites. Parking was at a real premium, but the owners really tried to be accomodating, giving up their space on the main street for us. I recommend the bedroom at the back of the hotel. It was quiet and the view was breathtakingly beautiful of the tuscan hills.

First stay and very nice. A little noisy in the evening as people came and went and talked a lot in the halls, but not hotel's doing. Maybe spreading out guests would help as it was off off season I believe there were other floors/rooms to spread into. Left a pair of earrings and called several hours later and the hotel had them and mailed them to me registered mail immediately at no charge. Excellent excellent service! Great location, parking a little tricky but no more so than any typical hillside city in Italy.

I chose this hotel based on previous reviews and I was not disappointed. The room was very nicely furnished, it was clean and large enough. The owners were pleasant and breakfast was plentiful. The only setback for me was that there were no maps of Perugia available at the train station upon my arrival. After initial confusion what bus to take (I was given different information by different people), help of a fellow passenger, I was finally able to find the hotel - it is off Via Cavour on a small street. The best thing would be to get very specific directions (if you want to take public transportation)from the hotel ahead of time by e-mail. Also another way to get to the hotel to take a so-called Mini-Metro - you either get off at the end station and go down the hill and right, then ask for directions or get off at the second last metro station, then ask for directions again - you will come to the hotel from the other side. I would definitely come back.

A lovely place. Very gracious owners. Located a little away from the main square, but an interesting walk. We loved Perugia. We highly recommend it and this property. We are only sorry we could only stay one day. We plan to go back. The owners were very helpful, genuine, and accommodating. They even reserved a special room for us with a view when we hinted that we were so excited to be able to visit Italy! They recommended nice restaurants and sights that really gave a taste of the place, not just touristy stuff. Be sure not to miss all things chocolate when you are there. Perugia takes its chocolate very seriously! I have never had hot chocolate like that before...wow! A beautiful old city in many ways. This property is located up a small "alley", so it's not right on the street. that's good, but may make it a little harder to find. But worth it! We found the owner/operators and Perugians in general, very welcoming.

Das Zimmer ist klein, jedoch ausreichen groß für Stadttouristig. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon mit phantastischer Aussicht auf Teile der Altstadt und das Umland. Hotel Signa is a quiet oasis very close to the center of Perugia. Its very easy to find and they will give you a parking pass so you can park on the street for free. The room was fairly small, but the bathroom was large and actually had a soaking tub!! The trouble is that the shower curtain did not swing around to cover all sides and when the shower was on the toilet and floor got soaking wet. Just a bad design. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were hard and very old. But when I asked, we were given larger, new nice pillows which made our second night bearable. The sounds carried from room to room which inhibited sleep even more. The backyard patio and the in-lobby bar were great and everyone who works at Signa is very helpful, professional, and quick to respond.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel for one night. Travelling by car you should notice, that you reach the entrance coming from a one-way-road. You can first stop in front of the police-office and get a permission for parking nearby at the hotel-desk. In front of the hotel, other side of the road, you find a little restaurant, whose menus represent the kitchen of the region very well. Ofcourse: no fast-food-prizes, but good quality and taste!

We though that the hotel is situated near the railway station (as it is indicated on the map), but it was only for the local-area trains. The central station was far away - approx. 20 minutes by bus up the serpentine road, and then you have to walk about 10 minutes from the nearest bus stop. Other than that, it is an OK hotel for a one-night stay in Perugia.
