Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. Perugia is an amazing place, great piazzas, beautiful views and the mini metro is easy to use and efficient. We enjoyed the two restaurants recommended by our hotel. It was a very positive experience. We would definitely stay at Hotel Morlacchi again.

People who consider the content rather than the form, independently from their budget, will love this hotel The family running the hotel is very friendly and helpful with everybody. Besides, they all speak excellent English.

Selecting a good budget Hotel in the centre of a Hill Top town in Italy is always difficult. You can understand why: space is limited: the plumbing has to inch its way through ancient brickwork.etc. Morlacchi was a pleasant surprise. Our stay here was above average. Great staff. Good beds. Take a taxi from the railway station to the hotel, cost €25. It is the easy way out in a new town, but costly....Learn from the staff how to return to the station for €1 each.

This is a nice family-run pensione that seems like home and is well cared for. They even have a family dog (Jesse) that was a joy. The taxi from the RR station took us directly to the hotel. Breakfasts were sufficient. Close proximity to the Corso and museums. They were flexible and great hosts. I'd happily stay here again.

This is a lovely little hotel, near the historic centre. The owners are lovely. It's a pity the student population make so much noise until 4 or 5 in the morning!!!!

The hotel was around the corner from a bar that serves the university students - it was loud late into the evening. The smell of stale cigarettes was also overwhelming. We cut our stay to one night instead of two, but to their credit, the owners were accommodating and did not charge us for the extra night.

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Morlacchi and were pleasantly surprised because finding a good hotel in Italy can be a real toss up. The hotel is really close to the main piazza (5 min walk)and in a safe and quiet area. The room was spacious and beyond being clean it was also well decorated. The hotel staff was kind and very welcoming towards all of the guests at their hotel. However there would definitely be more of a challenge for those who cannot speak Italian, but I'm sure that the hospitality would still be excellent. I plan on returning to the Hotel Morlacchi on my next visit to Perugia.

The hotel over was really good. The owners were very friendly and help us with information about the city. It is very close to the active nightlife in the area, which may add to some of the minor street noise at night. I would recommend this hotel to stay at for the price vs. quality.

We had a wonderful stay at the Morlacchi. The proprietors were kind and helpful and the facilities well situated and immaculate. They even remembered my partner's birthday and gave him a small gift. WE enthusiastically recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is in a small, tall, narrow building so that all the rooms and the reception are on the same circular stairway. The noise from the reception or anyone coming or going on the stairs is heard in all the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is centrally located on a small side street with lots of cafes for breakfast. No breakfast at the hotel. Though there was construction in the street, it didn't start until late morning, so it wasn't a problem. There is a room off reception with a TV, largely controlled all day and evening by nonna, but turned off by 11 pm as it can be heard in the rooms. No TVs in the rooms. Rooms are small but functional. My bathroom had one of those showers that is not separate, so that the entire bathroom is pretty wet after a shower.

Thanks to Lori, the Landlady who speaks perfect english, and offered her kind assistances whenever needed. Location is perfect, just around the corner you have the University of Perugia for Foreigner, 5 mins to Piazza Del Priori (also the National Gallery of Umbria), the landmark fountain. the high street, etc... Bar/Rests/Pizza/Cafe are everywhere. The room is very clean, new and in good size, with antique furnitures which enhance the cozyness. Good value (euro58 for double room single use). Just one reminder - ancient architectures are under restoration and affect the surrounding views of the area. Will come back.

Facility has been recently refurbished so all rooms and baths are in nice condition although small as most are in Italy. A problem for some folks might be the steps. There were 58 steep steps to climb to our room on the top floor. However the staff helped with the luggage. Breakfast was an additional charge and not worth the price. It was better to go to one of the nearby shops for breakfast. All in all it was a nice accommodation and would stay there again on next visit to Perugia but would request a lower floor.

Hotel centrally located in a quiet street very close to the fountain and main square.About a 10 minute walk to the University for Foreigners. Breakfast consisted of yoghurt, croissants, bread rolls, jam etc., all we wanted. Very comfortable bed, extra pillows supplied on request. Staff very helpful, ordered an early morning taxi(which arrived on time). Our only complaint was that there didn't seem to be any hot water for a shower at 0500(It is possible that we didn't let the water run for long enough).Reception is up a flight of stairs from street level so heavy suitcases could be a problem.

Very good central location. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Staircase up to hotel lobby - may have been a lift via a separate entrance but if so, we were unaware of it. Would need to find out about this if there are any mobility problems.
