Close enough to the main square which was always busy, but it's position just inside the old wall meant it was always quiet. Very easily accessed from the bus station by the escalators that link the bus station to the upper town.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Bonazzi. I was there for three days and found it to be a very comfortable accommodation. It's just off the main square in Perugia, so the location is great. The room was extremely clean and included everything I could expect of a 3* hotel, such as TV, mini fridge and desk. I also found the staff to be very friendly and willing to offer advice when I asked. I would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for leisure stays. For the price, it was a great value.

Bonazzi Hotel is very close to the historic town centre in Perugia. It is about 2 minutes from Piazza Italia and all the main bus stops which allows very easy access to the railway station. Lovely quiet rooms. The hotel staff don't really speak English but this was no problem whatsoever. They were really friendly and served a lovely continental breakfast.

A little difficult to find if you are driving a car. Parking is very difficult also, as we were directed to park on a nearby street in a public space. I would recommend parking at the train station and riding the shuttle train up the hill. The hotel was more than adequate and the family running the place was helpful.

Very clean hotel and very conveniently located in the town. Most of the staff speaks very little English, but they are very friendly and service minded. I heard quite a lot of noice from the corridor at times. You have to lock the doors with a key - even from the inside. The morning staff serves breakfast - ask them for a cappuccino - it's wonderful!!

Traveled to Perugia with my parents (mid-70s) and sister (early 50s), all first-time travelers to Italy. I have been to Italy on several occasions. No public areas to speak of. Tiny breakfast area but probably proportional to the size of the hotel. No elevator (but handicap lift is available for luggage). Towels were on the skimpy side but I have seen this in other European hotels. We were there on a VERY cold night. Heat took a long time to make the room comfortable. I was lying on top of my bed, fully-clothed, with my jacket on, and I was still cold. Eventually, the room did heat up. Be aware if you're cold-natured. I would stay here again..but only during the summer.

I misunderstood and thought that Hotel Bonazzi was closer to rail station than it was, but taxi fare was reasonable.(10 Eu Oct. 2008)The young couple whom I took to be the owners were welcoming, friendly, exceedingly willing to be helpful - to me and to the friends I was visiting. ONLY ONE CRITICISM (applying also to most other establishments I have been to) no routine breakfast provision was made for people who need to exclude WHEAT and/or COWS' MILK from diet. Nothing different was offered on subsequent days, once I had mentioned this problem. For someone able to eat wheat and milk, there was a very appetising selection of bread, rolls, croissants, biscuits, cheese etc., but I had to content myself with rice cereal eaten with fruit juice, and the excellent coffee. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Paolo who seemed to be "the man in charge" worked very hard to answer our questions and help us. I had requested a quiet room, he had 2 rooms to offer one a bigger and a smaller room but it would be quieter. We picked the quieter, and the room was not that small compared to others we'd stayed in in Italy.

A small, well kept but slightly neutral hotel. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and helpful if required. This seems to be a family run hotel and the owners still seem to be getting used to it. Space is at something of a premium as the reception area becomes the breakfast room in the morning. Breakfast was fine and fresh and is more or less fixed as a fresh croissant, a roll and jam, soft cheese and butter and juice are served to you. There is also cereal and coffee or tea. Our room was plain and a bit on the small side but not uncomfortably so. Bathroom was fine, the shower was the standard size you seem to get in 3* hotels in Italy, ok but a bit cramped. Location is excellent, at the far end of via Bonazzi with regard to the town but only minutes from the centre as the via Bonazzi is much smaller than it looks on maps. Altogether it's a reasonable hotel at a reasonable price, it doesn't really have much personality, beyond the slightly reticent look of the hosts, but is very well located and well worth considering.

The Bonazzi was very close to the main corso in the central, historic area of Perugia. It was fairly easy to get to as it was just inside the wall. A bit more difficult to get out of as there were many turns and narrow streets. There was parking outside on the street. The hotel owner and his wife were very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was nice -- fresh rolls and capuccino, espresso. Excellent gelato right next door. Greate pizza at Pizza Mediterraneo. It was very well located for seeing Perugia -- right on the main corso and near the main square. It was fairly easy to reach from the autostrada. We used it as a base for exploring southern Umbria and Gubbio which was nearby.

The hotel owners were very accommodating, but we had a problem with the website stating that there was parking. Parking was a major problem, especially since the person at the front desk was unable to speak English. I don't think parking should be stated as "in front of the hotel" or even nearby. Overall, the hotel was very nice, breakfast was very nice and a great deal. Also, a/c was iffy.

The hotel is ideally located in the old city near the Piazza Italia and within easy walking distance to all the important sights of Perugia. The rooms are neat, clean, functional and quiet. Breakfast includes cereal, rolls, juice and coffee – more than enough to start the day. The value received for the price paid equals a great bargain. The unique aspect of your stay here, however, will be the owners – a husband and wife team. From the moment you arrive until you leave they will be there to help you. They gave me suggestions, directions and great conversation (in English or Italian). They even made a special trip to the store to buy an adapter for my computer. On my next trip to Umbria I will be staying at the Bonazzi.

The amenities listed on the website are a little misleading. Air-conditioning was pretty much non-existent - only a small vent above the door, and the A/C wasn't turned on until late afternoon. My room was on the back-side of the hotel over looking a parking area where buzzers and lights went off every time someone parked their car. The location of the room/window did not have good air flow. Also, the "allergy-free" rooms mentioned on the amenities page have feather pillows and very scratchy linens - both of which I was allergic to. The room was clean and adequately appointed. Luckily, Perugia is a lovely town. However, I will not stay at the Bonazzi again.

This hotel is beautifully located in a quiet street within the city walls a few minutes walk from all the tourist attractions, the bus station and several good restaurants. The rooms are plain and comfortable, appropriate for a modern hotel in an old palazzo. The hotel is in a good location, a few minutes' walk from all major attractions. Interiors are modern and very clean, if a little austere. The management is friendly and helpful. Our room was small, with a small shower-room. Via L. Bonazzi has little traffic but late-night partygoers can keep you awake. On-street parking (free with a permit from the hotel) is quite far away and it's not easy to find a space. You may want to skip breakfast.
