A basic hotel, very handy for travel if you arrive by car, but not very good if you are relying on public transport. The Hotel is located in a part of perpignan that is essentially a trading/wholesale area. Builders merchants etc etc. One other aspect of the hotel worthy of note is that the restaurant/reception was closed on Sunday after breakfast. So on arriving back at the hotel expecting to get something to eat and a drink ... I was disappointed! The room itself was basic, quite small, but ok for a couple of nights. I was there for a long weekend to watch the rugby, so it was ok

We arrived about 10pm just caught the reception when we saw the rooms we were surprised they were small the bed had a blanket that must have been 30 years old the shower was like you get in a caravan and we had insects biting us all night. It was in an industrial estate and we were woken by lorry's from about 4am. Would not recommend this hotel it is more like a Motel for Lorry drivers.

Hard to find where to check in....had to go thru the restaurant doors that were locked....found a button that that didn't look like anything but a door locking mechanism and then a guy showed up to let us in.....wish check-in was easier but the guy was nice and spoke some English.

I had problems with the automatic antry. Neither the code number, nor the credit card worked to give me the key of the room. Finally, my surname worked. At 00:20 at night with my daughter in the car it was somehow... frightening. Beside that, it was very good.

How to reach Fasthôtel Perpignan Sud Hotel
By carFrom the A9 highway, take Exit 42 Perpignan Sud. At the roundabout, follow the direction Grand St Charles until the point de Hambourg. Turn right, direction St Assiscle Mailloles, follow straight ahead and then turn left after the 2nd bridge.
From Narbonne, Prades or Andorre, drive towards Perpignan and follow direction Grand St Charles for a few miles. Take the exit Grand St Charles Secteur. At the first roundabout, follow the direction towards the A9 highway, then take the second left, direction St Asssiscle Mailloles. Drive straight ahead, then turn left after the second bridge and you will see the hotel.
By airplane
From Llabanere-Perpignan-Rivesaltes International Airport (PGF): head west on Avenue Maurice Bellonte, turn right to stay on Avenue Maurice Bellonte. Go through one roundabout. At Rond-Point de la Fraternité, take the 3rd exit onto Avenue de l'Aérodrome. Merge onto D900 via the ramp to Barcelone/Perpignan-Centre. Continue on Cours Lazare Escarguel. Turn right at Avenue du Lycée. Continue on Avenue Julien Panchot. Turn right and you will see the Fasthotel Perpignan.
