Meltemi Village Hotel - Perissa

The quality of the bathroom was quiet simply with only a handshower without fix to the wall. The water in the cranes tasted saltwater.

Public restroom at the pool are catastrophically. Mildew in our bathroom, disrupted towels. Not enough dishes and cuttlery in the room to take a snack. Breakfast ist closing punctual, a few minutes before you are forced to take what you get, because no food will be added anymore. The variety and qualitiy of the offered breakfast is humble. Very dangerous for children walking at the road, no foothpath anywhere. You need to cross the road to get at the seaside, beach.

The Meltemi is "ok". 2-3 blocks from beach. Fantastic pool and pool bar area with excellent service which saves this hotel from being totally ho-hum. We had two rooms, inside main building double room was very small. A triple in a 2-level jr. suite in a seperate set of buildings was better in size. All areas clean. Pretty good value for price. Not high end, but an ok value. No wireless. Internet via the managers desk which was kind weird, and you had to buy time. Breakfast included but not very good. No port shuttle service. Staff very friendly, as stated, pool service was outstanding.

Meltemi was a nice little hotel that was satisfactory. We stayed there only for a couple nights to recuperate from jet lag and to see the other side of the island. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see as Perissa is only a small strip of bars, restaurants, and mini-hotels on a tiny beach. But we couldn't even swim in the ocean because the water was freezing despite the hot weather in June! CAUTION: The Meltemi hotel room was very small, there was no shower curtain in the tiny bathroom, and the BED consisted of only a covered box of springs!!! Seriously, there was no cushion or any material in the mattress - it just had coil springs and no mattress whatsoever. So unless you enjoy sleeping on a box of springs, we wouldn't recommend spending the night there. Otherwise, the property was clean and the staff was very friendly. They even fixed a broken light in the bathroom right away.
