Hotel Petra Nera - Perissa

30 minute bus ride from port and from hotel to Thira. Bus is not very reliable. 15 minute walk to beach. Bakery, restaurant, grocery market, internet cafe, and scooter rentals directly across the street. Breakfast was not good. Paying with cash costs less than using a credit card. Request a top floor with balcony.

The hotel was good,the room for three was enough and we had a little terrace direct to the pool. In front of the hotel was a 24h bakery,a very good bakery,and a big market,that was fantastic. The breakfast was very poor and the "orange juice" was.....horrible,and the "coffee" well as all the filter coffee...horrible too. Perissa beach is normal,and the distance to Thira was about 30 min by bus...is not to much but at night the bus didn't works and its a handicap becuase the night at Thira is very funn...so I recomend you to stay in a hotel in Thira or very next to Thira

Very friendly hotel owner, he has picked us up at the port and helped us to go to the airport. It was a comfortable stay for a couple of days. Unfortunately, sometimes there was a lot of traffic, especially young motor-cyclists were very noisy. But overall we have enjoyed our time in Petra Nera Hotel.

I found the petra nera a well run family business, very clean and tidy and with the most efficient houseman/or maid i have ever encountered,close to the supermarket and post office, also restaurants. a place i would not hesitate at staying again. breakfasts were greek so you do as the greeks do . overall a great place arthur and margaret waide new zealand
