INTER-HOTEL de Gramont - Pau

Lovely and knowledgeable staff and excellent breakfast. Antique furniture in the room with rather unusual night tables. The only drawback was inadequate lighting in the bathroom. It is a great location close to the center of town and its chateau.

Excellent hotel in a good location in Pau. Parking is limited however excellent staff advised about nearby parking at nominal cost that is available in the street, free between 7pm and 9am most days. Would DEFINITELY stay again and recommend to everyone. Clean, comfortable and value for money.

Slightly concerned to get a room overlooking the square due to noise but triple glazing ensured ZERO intrusion! Staff very helpful and attentive - warned us of parking restriction on Sunday for market.

Hotel Gramont has one of the friendliest staff ever. The hotel is in the center of town, within easy (and lovely) walking distance to the Chateau, cafes, shops -- everything you'd want to see. The room was comfortable and quiet. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very clean, comfortable and friendly helpful staff. Parking for about 6 cars directly outside hotel but there was plentiful free parking in a massive square, Place Verdun, just 2 minutes walk away. Location of hotel was excellent for city centre, restaurants, castle.

An excellent hotel, centrally located but with a real "french" feel to it not like the "run of the mill" hotels. The only comment would be parking, your description mentioned "free parking" which was indeed true but there were limited spaces and I think this should be mentioned in the description. If there were no spaces available outside the hotel, it would mean a 20 minute walk to the nearest "free" public car park. Anyone nervous about leaving their own vehicle might find this a problem.

This is a central location ideal for visiting both the local landmarks and getting access to the road / rail network for seeing the many and varied visitor attractions this area has to offer. Only a 15-20 minute drive from the Regional airport. There are many fine eating houses in the area from traditional French cuisine to modern Indian and Chinese etc. Will return to the area for sure and more than likely to use this hotel

Quite a good hotel. Well located. I would use it again and have recommended it to others for next year.

The location was quiet and picturesque yet conveniently close to the older sights, all of the high end shops and cafes overlooking the Pyrenees. The rooms are not suburban modern but are clean and characteristic and the bathrooms are pleasant and new.

Venere gives a total amount for the stay, but then the hotel charges you for some extra taxes that you were not informed. The hotel is old and dark, I would recomend a furniture renovation.

The front desk staff were particularly polite and helpful and were very patient with our inablility to speak french. The buffet breakfast was very welcome and the best we had in our 14 day stay in the south of France.

Very helpful staff, friendly and overall a good value stay in the heart of the city centre. Given directions to hotel get slightly confusing in the last 250 metres though - the right road to exit from the big Place immediately before the hotel's Place is not the most obvious candidate! We'd definitely stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful, and very clean and comfortable. Only about ten minutes walk from the train station and close to the older section of town, chateau and restaurants.

This hotel was handily located and the personnel helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.
