A very nice hotel, though our double room was a little small and there was only a curtain between bedroom and shower/toilet, which might be a bit off-putting to some - though it didn't bother us. Nice small balcony, but could have done with another chair. Wifi available but low signal in room. A fair walk into city centre, but buses regular and cheap - stop just outside hotel. Hotel owner very nice and helpful. As the stairwells were being decorated during our visit (which was no real bother to us)he gave us a bottle of local wine as compensation, which was a very nice thought. Excellent Italian restaurant and superb bar (la Tireuse)on Rue Bourbaki about ten minutes walk from hotel. Overall, we had a lovelly stay.

It is a very nice hotel with a good service and very friendly owners. It is simple and clean and perfect if you're looking for a reasonably priced stay at the beautiful city of Pau.

A quirky hotel, a little old fashioned and could do with reception being modernised but extremely friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from quite an attractive town centre with lots of restaurants. Try Steff's Cafe - a jazz bistrot. Good food and music and friendly service

Strickness,quality of services, cleaning of every things. goods maners, excellet to indicate goods locations to go to diner or every things else. i m always preferring short structure than group of hotel who needs only to win money but rarely for your service i will indicated them to my differents friends and family like a very good hotel stated on a good situation at pau pau is a very nice town specialy for british peopple

How to reach Montilleul Hotel
By carFrom Tarbes take N117 state road for 31 km. Continue straight on for 0.9 km on boulevard Du Commandant René Mouchotte. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit Avenue Du Maréchal Leclerc. Continue on avenue Du Maréchal Leclerc for 1.5 km. Turn right onto avenue Du Général De Gaulle for 450 meters and right again onto boulevard D'Alsace-Lorraine. Then take the 1st exit Avenue Jean Mermoz/N134 and continue for 350 meters.
From Bayonne: at Lescar take the 4th exit (D509) at the roundabout and continue on D509 road for 7.5 km. At Lons, at the roundabout, take the 1st exit (N134) and continue on N134 road for 300 meters. At Pau continue on N134 for 2 km and turn right onto avenue Jean Mermoz.
From Bordeaux: at Aire-sur-l'Adour take N124 for 2 km and continue on D2/N134 for 200 meters. Continue on N134 for 46 km.
