Small hotel very convenient to all the central facility. Bus to and from airport cost 1Euro and the bus stop is 3 mins walk from the Hotel. The railway sation is 10 mins walk (use free furnicular opoosite station). The breakfast is the usual continental type (Apple/Orange Juice, tea/Coffee, granola, yoghurt, apple puree, fresh bread & Crosissants and jam. Pretty good at 7.5Euros. Reception staff are frendly and helful and speak english. The hotel and rooms are tastefully decorated, looks recent. Not all rooms have a kettle but one was provided on request. Some rroms have showers, some baths. Always plenty of hot water. I have no hestitation in stay here again. Recommended.

Quiet location but close to bars and restaurants(good brasserie recommended by Madame)spacious rooms and quite charming - both the hotel and the proprietors. Would stay there again.

We booked hotel Central based on recommendations on trip adviser and were not disapointed. It is well located, reachable on foot from the Railway station via the vunicular(free).The themed rooms are very pretty and comfortable. We immediatedly felt 'at home'. Pau itself is a pleasant town with an old spa town feel. Historical buildings like the Chateau are combined with some 'new build' to make it an interesting and relaxed place to spend a couple of days.There are plenty of eating places especially near to the Place Clemenceau and the |Chateau (try the one on the corner of the Place Clemenceau and Rue Mal Foch where Plat de Jour at 8 euros is v. good value)
