Hotel Residenz - Passau

Good location close to the center. Rooms with view on the Donau. Nice rooms and nice welcome.

Nice hotel over all. Unfortunately front entrance and lobby were flooded during our stay. Highway noise from across the river was surprisingly loud. No onsite parking. Breakfast was very good, excellent variety of food and service was professional.

Lovely little inn with wonderful views of the Danube. We arrived late (2230) after hitting some traffic enroute, but the desk man was waiting for us and actually called us by name as we came in the door! He, as the other staff members of the hotel, was very friendly and helpful. Our room was rather long and narrow, but with generous space and windows on two walls. We had a splendid view of the Danube and the castle on the hill on the opposite side of the river. The room's furnishings were comfortable and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. We would have loved to stay longer, but we only had one full day and one night scheduled in Passau on this trip. We expect to return sometime in the future. Thank you, Hotel Residenz, for making our stay in Passau a memorable one!
