Lovely little inn with wonderful views of the Danube. We arrived late (2230) after hitting some traffic enroute, but the desk man was waiting for us and actually called us by name as we came in the door! He, as the other staff members of the hotel, was very friendly and helpful. Our room was rather long and narrow, but with generous space and windows on two walls. We had a splendid view of the Danube and the castle on the hill on the opposite side of the river. The room's furnishings were comfortable and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. We would have loved to stay longer, but we only had one full day and one night scheduled in Passau on this trip. We expect to return sometime in the future. Thank you, Hotel Residenz, for making our stay in Passau a memorable one!

How to reach Hotel Residenz
By car
A3: Exit Passau-Nord. Follow the river Danube until you see the 1. Bridge. Cross the bridge, on the bridge take the left lane, after 3,8 km, following the river again you will arrive at the Hotel Residenz. The hotel is situated in the Fritz-Schaeffer-Promenade at the corner Pfaffengasse.
By train
From the main-station by bus to Rathausplatz. (0,1 km from the hotel)
