Hotel Stendhal - Parma

Location is very good and breakfast is delicious. Everything is perfect for me.

I got to Verdi festival and best hotel to see opera. Breakfast is very delicious.

Not easy to find, lack of signs. Good location.

I'm not sure if we were upgraded, no one told us we were, but it was the largest room we had in Italy at one of the most reasonable rates. Plush decor, big bathroom, helpful friendly staff.

Situated closely in very nice many ancient and medieval spots. the best for people seeking the place surrounded very historical monuments with quiet and comfortable situation

I have stayed in Parma quite frequently over the last 5 years. I decided to return to the Stendhal this trip because it was convenient both for my meeting venue (the Ducal Palace) and for the city centre, and also because I like smaller hotels with greater character. My choice proved to be excellent. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and it was easy to regulate the temperature. Breakfast is excellent - with plenty of choice. My single bed was a bit narrow for me (due solely to my rather ample girth) - but it was otherwise extremely comfortable.

The quality of service is really high, staff is really kind, and you are 500 m from the station and 500 m from the city centre (and very very close to my favourite restaurant..). Only thing: even if they will tell you to use the "Wireless" wi-fi net, use "Netgear", it is the one that really works! I will definitely make "Stendhal" my hotel of choice in Parma.

I was there during a cold snap and the in-room heating system, while adequate, was not entirely satisfactory. Excellent and generous breakfast.

To be a newly renovated bathroom, we had expected better ventilation and practical solutions regarding showerdoor and doormat in front. How to turn off TV / radio sound in bathroom ?

I LOVED this hotel! I visit Italy often and it was my first time staying in Parma. Finding the hotel was the easiest I have EVER encountered in Italy. From the time I exited the Autostrada, there were signs and arrows guiding you right to it! I was so happy to find this since there are never many, if any, street signs in the cities. The hotel was beautiful, you could pull your car right up to the door, which is VERY important and rare in old towns there. They take your car to a garage that is just around the corner and very secure. The staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast had a great variety, especially for Europe. The location was very close to the main piazza and all the sites. I loved everything about this place! I will definitely return here when I visit Parma again. GREAT value for the money!

I stayed in Parma for 5 days. I think that it is best hotel people wish to see opera in Teatro Regio.

We had a spacious room with a large balcony from which we could look through the arches toward the central green. It was clean and quiet and thoroughly satisfactory. The breakfast is good though the dining room is a little gloomy, perhaps rather large for the number of guests. The staff were courteous and correct and the atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant though reserved.

Beuatiful room and the best hotel bed I have ever slept on. Very helpful hotel staff. The breakfast is excellent and included in the price of the room. This was my second stay at the Stendahl and if I ever visit Parma again, I would stay there. The location is perfect--right across from the Palazzo della Pilotta. Good value for money if booked well in advance.

Parma is charming as the Stendhal,this is in a place that is near of all I want to visit, historic center and commercial area

This hotel is very good for going to teatro Regio.

Hotel sehr zentral und dennoch ruhig gelegen, 5 Min. Fußweg zu Domplatz. Sehr freundliches Personal. Unser Zimmer war ruhig, jedoch etwas zu klein für längeren Aufenthalt. Blick aus Fenster bietet "idyllische Hinterhofatmosphäre" (auf Altstadtambiente mit Palazzo-Turm, jedoch nicht schmuddelig). Zimmer und Bad war sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Wir waren an einem Tag dort, an dem unseres Erachtens Hotel wenig belegt war. Lobby und Bar / Restaurant machte daher einen etwas "verlassenen" und sterilen Eindruck, mit relativ wenig Atmosphäre, aber ebenfalls sauber. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Pkw-Parkplatz in unmittelbar angrenzender TG. Frühstück etwas dürftig, jedoch ausreichend. Foto im Internet schreckt etwas ab, Anblick des Hotels ist nicht ganz so düster. Hotel, wie wir es erlebt haben, ist kein Super-Luxus-Hotel, kann aber guten Gewissens empfohlen werden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut.

It was a pretty standard hotel room but the location was very close to central Parma.

The Hotel Stendhal was great. A 1/2 mile walk from the rail station and at the beginning of the city. Perfect location. We booked on line while traveling and were very pleased. Staff was courteous and helpful and offered restaurant suggestions. Extremely clean and modern room.

Please tell al guests to park their car in the garage... In Parma, the local police gives parking tickets as fast as one can blink an eye!!!

The hotel is right in the center, but really too old inside... Needs big changes!

THE HOTEL IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. THE PICTURE ON LINE DOES NOT REFLECT ITS STANDARD AND CLASS. LOCATION: 3 STEPS FROM THE SHOPPING & PEDESTRIAN AREA, THE CHURCH ETC. TRY LA GREPPIA RESTAURANT ONE MIN. WALK (OPEN SUNDAYS) FOR AN OUTSTANDING MEAL

I found your desk employees to be absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Their ability to communicate in English was extremely helpful. There was a woman, whose name I do not remember, that took a great interest in helping me locate various areas of the city. She was beautiful too, so maybe you know who I mean. She was so intelligent and friendly. I regretted leaving! Another man helped me communicate with a hotel in Lucca where my wife left a coat, and he expedited its return. Though we have not received it as yet, I expect it at any day.
