Excellent service, great location. Concierge was really helpful and friendly. Cheap for the area, but not cheap for what it is. Tiny, old room with old furniture and Luggage barely fits through elevator door. OK for one person, one night.

It was my first time at the Welcome Hotel and I must say I was terribly impressed by the quality of service. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was superb, with the boulevard de St Germain just round the corner. What impressed me more was the professionalism of the staff, terribly polite and helpful. The only problem was that for some reason the Wifi didn't work despite the attempts of the staff to solve the problem.

Yes, I have been to Paris many times, and yes, this was the first time I have stayed at the Welcome Hotel. I chose it because it was the nearest hotel to the apartment of the friend I was visiting, thinking that it did not matter much what it was like, as I was staying for only three nights. But it did matter. I had booked a double room rather than a single, because I like having a little more space than is generally the case in singles. The room I was given was so tiny - almost entirely filled by the double bed with virtually no space to move around in - that I couldn't believe it was a double, but yes, it said "double" on the door. The worst thing about it was that it was very hot (two floor-to-ceiling hot water pipes kept the room at a very uncomfortable temperature even with the radiator turned off; and extremely stuffy. The only way to deal with this was to open the window, and then it was extremely noisy, as my room faced the Boulevard St-Germain. When I asked if anything could be done to make the room cooler, it turned out that the temperature could be regulated by the staff, but the lowest temperature was 19c, which was still very hot, and no less stuffy. Another negative factor was the very dirty carpet: I was glad I had brought slippers! They really should do something about this: it was disgusting. Another was the shower. There is no way of closing it, so water floods the entire (tiny) bathroom and has to be mopped up with the bath mat and/or a towel (fortunately these are replaced every day). The shower cubicle is so small that I could barely turn around in it, and I am a short, small woman: I cannot imagine how a large man would manage. Three things I did like: the excellent water pressure, and the towels, which were good quality, and new, and, as I've already said, replaced daily if you wished them to be (which I did); and the two nice young men who were at the Reception and were always friendly. But all in all, I think the Welcome Ho

The only problems were stuffiness in the room and a smell I think came from the heat and the noisiness of the heating. great location, all staff member pleasanr and helpful, good sized room with a desk - amazing how many 4star hotels omit a desk and then call themselves 'business friendly'

The location of the hotel was where we wanted to be the staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen clean, however the rooms were pokey and old fashioned, the bathroom was hidiously small accommodating a sitz bath with no shower facilities the loo was pushed in between the sitz bath and the wall of the spirall staircase most bizarre, toiletries consisted of two thin discs of soap two small sachets of shower gel & half a loo roll.We were only there for two nights and out most of the time so we made the best of it.

The single room was a bit small. Despite looking out onto the busy Boulevard St Germain, I never heard a sound from the road, just from guests on the landing. It was never dark at night - proper blackout curtains/shutters would have been welcome. It was also a bit too warm in the early part of the night and then cold by morning. However the staff were great, the location excellent and value for money very good. I'll certainly return.

I have booked a single room and upon my arrival I was given an upgrade for a regular one, since I'd stay for 10 nights. That was a must for me, with a queen size bed, considering the lack of space of rooms in Paris in old buildings! This was an experience in testing services of the hotel since I always stay in St Germain des Pres neighborhood when travel to Paris. I liked it very much and will be back next time! Reception personnel very kind and helpful. Bathroom remodeled and clean, I just missed a courtain in the box for shower and had to take care not spilling water all around. But I handled it very well. I'd recommend this hotel for my friends.

Although the room was basic and small (as expected in Paris)it was clean and looked as if it had been recently renovated. Situated on the Boulevard St Germain, we expected a bit of noise at night but didn't mind and thoroughly enjoyed the jazz music from the cafe below! We found it good value for money, very central to everywhere and close to the Metro for further trips. Easy to get to from main line stations on Line 4.The staff were helpful, spoke good English (although we both spoke to them in French) and looked after our bags after we checked out. Will stay there again.

Leakage of water from the toilet. Shower had no curtain. So the bathroom gets quite wet after use. The room is properly cleaned. We were on the second floor and if you opened the window the noise from the street was a bit too loud. Our room was not air conditioned. Friendly staff at reception. Excellent location for tourism in Paris.

If you stay in Paris and would like to be in the centre without paying so much, Hotel Wellcome is the right place. It is just in the centre of Saint Germain on the very crowded street. There're lots of cafes and restaurants near the hotel. The size of the room was very small, but we found everything we need (TV, hair dryer,etc...) and the was overall clean. There was not any breakfast offered by the hotel. For a young people, who would like to have an economic stay wihout any luxorious expectation, hotel Wellcome is a very perfect alternative.

The location is really good. Near several metrostations and the RER train to the airport and walking distance to "everything". Although situated on the Boulevard St Germain the traffic did not disturb due to sound proof windows. But I suppose it can be hot in summertime if you can not let the windows stay open?

Paris Hotels are pricey, but don't cheap out and stay here. It is close to the Louvre and Notre Dame, but our room was tiny. Our bathroom was congested by the encroachment of the spiral stair case which was located right outside our room. There was no actual shower, just a shower head connected to the faucet in the bathtub with no shower curtain. Hot water was extremely limited. One bonus was that the staff spoke English. However, don't leave any loose change laying around or the cleaning staff may think its a tip. True story: My wife left out some US Coined Currency (quarters, nickels, dimes, penny) along with buttons and trash, and the cleaning person scooped it up like it was a tip. WTF? At least the exchange rate makes that a pretty lousy tip. The room was habitable, but I would look for nicer accommodations to truly enjoy the a city as beautiful as Paris.

Welcome is perfectly situated in the galleri area of Paris. The surrondings are lovely! Just step outside the hotel and you are close to the heart of Paris. Please do not miss the breakfast at Pauls café, preferably sitting in the back part of the boulangerie. And a lunch or dinner at the resturant Fish is definately recommended. But if you are planning to eat dinner you might have to book in advance - it is popular. The room we stayed in at the Welcome Hotel was ok. No extra or big surprises, a bit moisty, but in total alright. And the view of the Eiffel tower when looking out right from the window was worth a lot! A lovely sight when arriving at night.

Great location and very helpful staff - perfect for just a clean room and bath in Paris. I didn't try the breakfast - too many other enticing options - and the telephone in the room was a rotary phone, which made it difficult to call overseas (back to the States), so this probably wouldn't be suitable for a wired traveler. But a great neighborhood from which to explore Paris, and very nice staff, at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is highly priviledged by the location. The facilities are the simplest, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a very good time there, with excellent bars, restaurants, stores, historical places all on a walking distance. Go to Brasserie Lipp, Cafe de Flore, all great places. The breakfast is better taken at a Paul's Cafeteria nearby but, when there, try to go to the eating room in the back where the attendants are friendlier and in greater number. The old lady in the first hall may let you wait forever to be serviced.

THE RESTURANT BELOW WAS REALLY GOOD VALUE AND THEY MADE U FEEL REALLY WELCOME. THE AREA WAS AMAZING THERE WAS EVERYTHING THERE YOU WANTED FROM A BAR TO A SUPERMARKET. THE NIGHT LIFE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WAS AMAZING YOU JUST HAVE TO BE THERE. A SHORT WALK TO THE RIVER AND EVEN SHORTER TO THE RESTURANT BELOW. WE WOULD GO BACK FOR SURE. We were booked to stay 4 nights, but only lasted 1. The small room was very stuffy so we were forced to have the window open. We were able to find alternative accomadation at a three star hotel two streets away for exactly the same price.

Location, Location, Location, this is what the hotel Welcome has going for it! We had a corner room, a twin, it was spacious for Paris, with 2 windows and a large bath. Our view looked on Rue du Seine and Blvd St Germaine. The room was clean except for stains on the carpet. The beds were very clean and fresh towels provided daily. For the most part, the staff was wonderful, exception being a young woman who told our visitors the wrong room number and had them wait a half hour before she discovered it. The rest of the staff were very accomodating, always eager to give directions, to a jazz club, internet cafe, restaurant. One morning we ordered breakfast, 10 euros per person, quite steep, but convienient, (if you don't want to get out of bed.) Coffee, juice, breads, jam, butter, applesauce. There are numerous places to eat as you walk outside the Welcome. October was a perfect time to visit Paris. We had a few rainy afternoons, but nothing to slow us down, we always carried an umberella. We drank a fair amount of red wine, ate some fabulous meals, took many long walks, heard some wonderful jazz, went to a couple of museums, drank the best hot chocolate ever at Angelinas tea house on rue du Rivoli. We have been visiting Paris for the past 30 years, it is one of our favorite cities. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.

The Welcome is in the perfect location in the Latin Quarter in Paris. The double pane windows made the room quiet. It is a 2 star hotel in terms of a bit dowdy carpeting, but the bed was very comfortable. The price was superb for the location and the views of the trendy streets below was excellent. A great value. Small elevator, but adequate for heavy luggage with one person riding along. Don't opt for the breakfast, much better deal down the street at "Paul" a great patissiere at reasonable prices. Be sure to buy some chocolates two doors down from the hotel, at Marquie de Sevigne.

The staff was especially accommodating and the location could ot have been better if you like to stay in the St Germain de Pres area. I expected the rooms to be small, but they were smaller than I thought they would be. I was a single leisure traveller and would reserve a double room next time - all except for one of the single rooms were attic rooms and felt even smaller because of the vaulted ceilings. I would definately stay here again...
